I have need to be up in Portland several times a year. I will be staying at Casco Bay Hotel.
Pros:

Very clean reasonably comfortable can't beat cost

Cons:

Breakfast was Ok but could be better. At least get some whole wheat bread for toasting.

Renovated, spacious and clean. Room was spacious and quiet.
Easy access to amenities and free parking are a plus.

Cons:

Minor paint details, like trim need to be finished and refined a little. Lights by the bed flickered. Price for first night was very reasonable. Decided to stay for second night and price doubled.

The location, the king bed was comfortable, the Staff was helpful, & the shower gel, shampoo,etc. Are helpful as we were flying.

Cons:

The floor was filthy and obviously had not been vacuumed. I forgot my slippers & my feel felt gritty when walking around the room.

Make sure to talk directly with hotel before going with Booking.com
Pros:

The way things turned out with funal payment.

Cons:

It started very rocky in a bad way. I had put in pre check in information. I was late due to work and my spouse needed to check in. We should have put my spouse Dawna as the customer. To many people handling the information from hotel got things messed up. In the end it worked out.

Cons:

Flew in from Mexico to attend college graduation. Our fridge didnt work. Had to throw away $60 worth of food because this place had no back up mini fridges. Their attitude about it made it worse.
