Quiet, comfortable & stress free.
Pros:

Clean. Close to the drive-in (why I was in town). Friendly & helpful staff.

Cons:

Lack of parking. Had to park in unmarked spots when I got back k late but I was still allowed to park at the facility.

A great place to stay when you’re in the area for an event!
Pros:

We get together there every year for VHSfest and you guys make it so nice! We can hang out once we get back on the back patio and it’s one of the best parts of the trip! Great breakfast and rooms!

Very concerning that we were exposed to black mold.
Pros:

The location was close to everything we wanted to do. The breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly.

Cons:

The building was under construction. We had breathing problems and didn't know what was causing them. My husband has lung disease, and it was so bad we thought it was a flare up. There was one elevator to the lobby and the debris was being taken down that elevator. On the day we left they were working on a room by the elevator and left the door open, and the walls were covered with black mold. No plastic sheeting. Nothing to protect visitors. We asked the construction people if they could cover the bins at least, but they did not appear to understand us.

Large, comfortable rooms that are newly renovated.
Pros:

Large, fully renovated room with a super comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. A very comfortable stay for our short and sweet visit to Jim Thorpe.

Our front desk staff member in the evening was lovely, and so were the other staff we encountered during our stay.

Cons:

We were initially checked into a room that wasn’t fully serviced before our stay, however this was quickly remedied by a new room within moments! I believe it was just a miscommunication as to why we were put into this room but just a small error that was quickly remedied.

The hotel was undergoing construction whilst we were there, and the construction staff were quite loud from very early and they were working directly next to our room. Thankfully we were up and away early, as despite the lovely singing it’s probably not what I would want to wake up to!

More authentically friendly than my own home
Pros:

I really really love this place. The only reason I gave four stars for rooms is because they are in the process of completing a full renovation. So the first room they offered us smelt like construction and newly completed remodeling. We asked to get a different room and the front desk was very gracious and locating us another room right away.
I got to swim in the heated indoor pool by myself (!) two mornings in a row! And then soak in the hot tub Jacuzzi.
We use Hampton Inn and Homewood suites because we are Hilton members and this one gave us one of the better experiences of Hampton Inn.
What really struck me about this place was the staff. They are relaxed, professional and super authentically friendly. They seem to work together like a family and there’s lots of good vibes going on between them and towards the guests.
Their rooms were very clean And had plenty of everything like towels and toilet paper. They clean every morning unless you ask them not to.The breakfast was the typical free hot breakfast that you’ll find at hotels like this. The layout was well cared for and kept tidy the whole 6 AM to 10 AM breakfast..
They have a clean simple and uncrowded fitness center which my husband always takes advantage of.
They have a little shop at the front desk and the back Outdoorarea with fire pits and seating. Laundry takes coins, three dollars a load and you can get changed at the front desk.
We asked for a late checkout because I just didn’t want to leave.
Great stay and I highly recommend it.
