The hotel feels old and not the common areas feel out of date. The room however was renovated and good.
Very few TV channels in English
If you rent a room stay away from the part of the hotell that is not on the beach side. The “lake” side gets a lot of noise from traffic and bars

The breakfast is very basic but ok. If you want a pool from swimming use the pool at the lake side. It’s about 15m long and deep

Location is ok. About 300 meters from the busy area

I stayed here for one week, this is a older 3 star hotel, my room was comfortable, the hotel is very clean and tidy, the breakfast was ok, bar service was good and the food I ate was good also, it’s in great location right on the beach close walk to town (10-15 minutes) as for the staff, really friendly and helpful, it’s a real cheap and cheerful hotel and can recommend it,

Just finishing a six week stay at Matcha, our latest after many. Matcha is a good mid level hotel well located at the end of the busy end of Chaweng. The rooms are good size and well thought out. The staff are warm and friendly, really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. That happens at breakfast, round the pool or beach or at dinner. I could name about ten of the staff, but won't for fear of missing someone out. Reservations go out of their way to make things easy to book. The real proof of how customers feel about the hotel is how many repeat customers you see here, often staying for weeks at a time. There are lots! That said, staff are just as warm to new clients. Smile and you will get a big smile back.

Matcha is a clean, well maintained mid range hotel with a pool and location right on the beach, but also close to the lake. Chaweng is a busy area so you do hear some noise at night. In this price range I would recommend.

Unable to find fault with anything at all.
Our room was cleaned daily to a very high standard.
The breakfast was very much the same every day but a good variety of food to choose from.
As for the staff - well a big thank you to each and every one of them for their hospitality and the amazing service they gave us.
Nothing was too much trouble for them.
We are already looking forward to our return next year and looking forward to seeing everyone.

Cozy and comfortable hotel with all main facilities available and kept in very good conditions. But, the real added value of this resort is the personnel: all, from receptionists to room cleaner, from beach bar team to kitchen personnel. Here you really understand why Thailand is said "the land of the kindness"!
Unfortunately during our stay my wife has had a little accident. She broke her foot during an excursion. ALL the personnel gave her all kind of cares and cuddles to make her remaining stay in the hotel as much comfortable as possible in her new condition. They gave her even a courtesy wheelchair. It was a great experience! I didn’t even expect that the hotel would be so nice. The staff is polite and always ready to help. The location is also good as the beach is clean in that part of Chaweng. Someone said that the rooms are old, I didn’t notice that, my room was fresh. 100% recommend this hotel

Good hotel with friendly staff. Good sized family room for the 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Decent buffet breakfast with an egg station plus the usual fruit, coffee, water, orange juice etc.
Right on the beach. It’s about a 10 min walk to the green mango/ centre of Chaweng but it feels longer as the traffic is mental and there isn’t much room on the pavement. If we come back I would want to be a little closer to the centre but it’s certainly not a deal breaker. There is a really good supermarket nearby. If you leave the beach side of the hotel, turn left and walk about 5 mins to a little centre called Haven and the supermarket is called Tops

A hotel previously known as Chaba Resort has a few years on its neck. That said it’s still a very nice place and the rooms are spacious. The parking lot could be bigger, especially during high season it could get crowded and not enough room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and is what you could expect, no complaints!

The service was excellent. The rooms are tidy and clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. In the middle of the main beach, hotel is on the beach unlike others.

Thank you very much for your excellent hospitality during I were staying with you the receptionist, restaurant staff, housekeeping they are promptly help me also the breakfast look simple but so good, delicious so lovely hotel, definitely 100% comeback staying with you again by soonest.

Great location!
All staff very good and efficient.
The beach bar staff were outstanding.
Food was great for the price.
Beer's were ice cold and the staff couldn't do enough for you.
The hotel was very quiet as it is low season.
But for the price we paid it was certainly value for money.

The down side was that the
Shower was super small and the bathroom very dated.
Also the day we left was early
the breakfast was all ready but they wouldn't let us have a coffee,even
though it was 10 minutes from opening.

The hotel is old and needs renovation. It has spacious and clean rooms with nice balconies. But the bathroom and toilet are small. The hotel pool is clean and is next to the hotel beach. It has a quiet, sandy beach with a beautiful view. The hotel gym is located in another building across the street. The gym equipment is old and worn out. The hotel's location is very good, a five-minute walk to Central Festival.

We have just returned from our 15 visit to this hotel,Matcha has everything you would want on holiday,

Lovely rooms,great breakfast,Pool and bar right on the beach.

The staff are amazing,nothing is too much trouble for them.

We will defiantly return next year.

Great location swimmimg pool nice was upgraded to ocean side lady at reception very helpful as i walk with a stick will be back agsin loved the place

Our favourite hotel in Chaweng. Stayed at this hotel every Christmas and April for the past 10 years (except covid) and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Ever time we visit, the staff seem to have changed. This visit, Job has left (he was part of the furniture) but we know where he works and will catch up with him and Tuk Tuk when back in April

We were missing a reading light next to the beds. Verry good food. Clean pool. Air port shuttle too expensive. TAXI is cheaper. All in all verry nice.

We have been staying at this fabulous hotel for many years and we have always been treated like royalty The staff are amazing ,gorgous food,Right on the beach,close to shops,night market,bars etc,We are all booked up for April2025 for 4 weeks
