Clean.
Breakfast was good just guests came in droves. So refill was unpredictable
Bed was comfortable.
I checked in at 3am. The guy behind the desk was sleeping. I had to say "excuse me" multiple times to wake him up. He opened his eyes a slit, gave me a deathglare then went back to sleep! I finally managed to rouse him and told him I was checking in and I had a reservation. He began to stretch and yawn. I told him I'd also like to get some sleep tonight. Then he slowly and reluctantly began checking me in. I asked him a couple questions which he did not even bother to answer. I asked him where my room was and he pointed.
I know good help is hard to find but come on.
The pool area was very nice and the front desk staff were extremely friendly.
The sleeper sofa was dirty with a dirty sheet on it and it was very difficult to open as well. The one and only lamp in the living area did not work.
Breakfast was ok, sometimes the sausage was not hot. Filling and complimentary, ok assortment. In the heart of sandwich.
There was a broken light and the phone didn’t work in our room and the general cleanliness could use some work. The early check in policy is unnecessary. We arrived at 2:10 and they wanted $20 to check in. We went next door and had a drink for $23 with tip. It’s just bad policy and customer service and unwelcoming after someone had driven almost 5 hours to get here.
Location and comfort.
Close to the Cape Cod Canal and Seafood Sam's was a great place to eat.

The location
We go to the Cape every fall to visit family and always stay here. Staff is super friendly, the rooms are spacious and always clean and comfortable.
Without an elevator it can be a challenge to get heavier luggage upstairs if you have a second floor room. So request the first floor or pack light. The breakfast area can also get a bit cramped when there are lots of guests so we take ours back to the room sometimes.
Rooms were incredible. We booked one that went right to the pool/hottub.

Also, having 24 staff at the front desk is Very helpful for the early riser business travelers.
The step up and step downs did not feel especially safe.
