Hotel Minerva

Breakfast was quite good but could have had more choice for hot foods. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom could have had more toiletries such as conditioner, body lotion, vanity kits that one would expect from a hotel costing €500 per night. Balcony views were stunning.

Minerva Hotel is in the perfect position above Marina Grande with spectacular views across the bay to Mount Vesuvius.
The hotel is older style and has a lovely charm about it. The walk into Sorrento takes around 5-10 minutes.
The staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. We visited early November 2025 and had an almost perfect week of sun, even spending time on the roof top terrace catching some rays.
The hotel has good facilities but would say more geared up for the older guest.
The only minor comment from us would be the lack of variety of food at dinner time, every dish came with potatoes, but that could have been because we travelled on an escorted group holiday.
Overall the food was lovely, especially the good selection offered at breakfast, including pastries to die for.
The hotel seems to have many returning guests over the years, we loved our visit and would definitely return again.

Breakfast was excellent. The balcony was spacious w outstanding views. The room clean and comfortable.

Excellent hotel in ideal location. Staff very friendly and helpful. We had sea front rooms with balcony. Rooms were spacious and clean and the views of Vesuvius and Sorrento bay were spectacular. The pool was great. Ee would have used it more if the weather had been warmer. We were half board and the food was excellent. It was 20 minute walk to Tasso piazza along road with slight incline so quite an easy walk. We used lift to go down to the harbour which was very easy but the harbour was not really worth the effort. Would definitely use this hotel again.

Lovely view

This was our first trip to Italy and our first hotel in Italy. It did not disappoint. We were warmly welcomed. Had a fabulous room with a balcony. The breakfast was so delicious. The view from our room was outstanding. It was in a wonderful location. We were able to walk to stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are planning to go back. Highly recommend!

A vista que o hotel proporciona é de maravilhosa, sua localização é estratégica para a o Golfo. A equipe muito gentil e atenciosa. O quarto muito aconhegante e o café da manhã fantástico.

Good breakfast options, clean rooms, just far from city centre and tough to get to with busses.

Excellent

What a beautiful hotel. Our room for 3 was lovely and spacious. We all really enjoyed our stay (ages19, 55 and 77) The staff were amazing and the views were absolutely stunning! Our meals (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and all the staff looked after us so well. We are missing Guiseppe singing to us every day! We also enjoyed using the rooftop pool. We have so many happy memories- Thankyou!
