Munakkaan sai tilatessaan halutussa muodossa.
Sijainti Napoli-lahti näkymin oli upea.
Uima-allas palveluineen oli erinomainen.
Posto perfetto per vacanza!
Visited for a week in July to celebrate husband's 60th birthday. This was our second visit to the beautiful Hotel Minerva. We had the most wonderful relaxing week, made even more special by the fabulous team of staff, all so warm, thoughtful and welcoming: from reception, pool/bar, restaurant and housekeeping. You were all amazing. Where else would a member of the restaurant female staff give you one of their own hair bobbles, because i had lost mine whilst walking into Sorrento, and i was trying unsuccessfully to tie my hair up due to the heat. Our room was perfect, we had a seaview (there was no balcony but that didn't bother us. We hadn't paid for a balcony room so did not expect one) but the room we did have was large and overlooked the beautiful bay of Naples and nightly show of fireworks. The hotel is perfectly situated close to Sorrento itself to stroll there and back (but there is a bus too), but far enough away from the crowds. We stayed half board, breakfast I particularly enjoyed and the evening meals catered for everyone and the menu changed daily. The hotel is spotlessly clean. We had no complaints whatsoever during the whole stay. Whilst there, we booked an excursion to Herculaneum half day, we enjoyed the trip and the collect/return to the hotel via air conditioned coach was worth every penny as the weather was extremely hot. We will be returning to see you all again. Our only disappointment was our holiday coming to an end and returning home.
Thank you all again 😊 💓.
This is not a new hotel, it has been on the Sorrento landscape for a 100+ years. It oozes old world style, class and charm. The decor doesn't let you forget this. Rooms are a fair size and we had one with a bay view (highly recommended).
Breakfast was standard & you can have it on the terrace with magnificent views of Sorrento bay, unforgettable.
We had dinner there one night and it couldn't be faulted.
All the staff were respectfully friendly, not in your face all the time. Sorrento town is only a 5 minute direct walk away
We will always remember Antonio in the bar for his professionalism and humour.
We will definitely be back and can't wait.
This was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The photos do not do it justice -- beautiful views, beautiful room, beautiful balcony, breakfast was amazing. The decor and atmosphere was tranquil, beautiful, and local. What stood out was the service and staff -- every single person was friendly, helpful, attentive, and made us feel at home! Incredible value for the price and will be staying here when I come back to Sorrento. Thank you to the whole team!
Breakfast was good typical continental style
The Wi-Fi was sporadic at best and slow when it worked
Loved everything about this hotel! The location, the views, the staff, the room, the breakfast, the rooftop pool - everything was first class!
N/A - loved everything about Hotel Minerva
On arrival at Minerva Hotel the view from the terrace takes your breath away.
Everything about this hotel is spot on, another guest said magical and they are right. Our second visit to Sorrento and our first to Minerva. There are alot of returnees and you can see why. It has an authentic charm to it and it is immaculate. Staff, food, rooftop pool, rooms....can't fault them. I hate to single out staff but Antonio in the bar, he only meets you once and remembers everything about you, makes you feel very special indeed. Our only regret, the coach picked us up earlier than expected for the airport and we forgot to write our thanks in the visitors book. Met some other lovely guests there and the evening where we all danced in a circle with the saxophonist playing in the middle was gorgeous. Thanks.
Location short walk to town. Roof top pool
Costs of drinks and maintenance issues
We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. We had a fabulous time. The hotel has the most amazing views and is kept beautifully clean. Our room was kept immaculate every day by the cleaners. We had a room in the main building with balcony and sea view.
The walk into town and to the marina is down a narrow road and was an easy 15 minute walk. Coming back up was a little more difficult as uphill in the heat but manageable.
The food was great. Breakfast was buffet style with fruit, pastries, cereal, yoghurt etc and you could order eggs and bacon. For dinner you could choose between 4 different meals for starter, main and 3 choices for pudding.
There were always sunbeds up by the pool. No issues of people saving sunbeds and not using them for hours!
The hotel has the most amazing staff. They were all so friendly, helpful and attentive. They made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and made sure we had the best experience. We will definitely be back.
We have just returned back from a beautiful weeks stay at Hotel Minerva. This was our first time visiting Sorrento and it did not disappoint.
Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff for being so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. From all of the waiting staff, to housekeeping, and front reception for giving us a room upgrade. Your hard work never went unnoticed.
The hotel itself is situated perfectly in the hills overlooking the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The views are stunning! It's a 20 minute walk on a narrow road into the centre - bit of an uphill coming back and can be quite difficult, especially in the heat.
We stayed Half Board and found the dinner to be lovely. Every night there was a different menu, so the food was never repetitive. Similarly, breakfast was continental and always so fresh.
The Sea view room with balcony was a perfect size for 3 adults. Rooftop pool was lovely to come back to after a busy day exploring.
We would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again.... Thank you Hotel Minerva for giving us so many happy memories!
Everything
Nothing
This was our first trip to Sorrento and we loved the trip and our week in the Hotel Minerva.
Our trip had been a bit stressful and being dropped off by the bus on the main road was a bit disconcerting as you enter and then take a lift up 5 floors to reception- but once you arrive and see the view all of the stresses of the journey fade away!
We were checked in quickly and the room was lovely - bigger than average hotels - good air conditioning and with a balcony that had a view over the Bay.
We had booked Half Board and so we used the restaurant many times and found all the staff to be helpful and on top of things. Eating breakfast looking out over to Vesuvius and the wider Bay was a highlight every day.
The food was pretty good and we always had options from the menu and the Lasagne was fantastic.
The roof pool area is nice and was never too busy and the bar / snacks up there were a good option.
The hotel is about 10min walk down the hill into Sorrento - the path is narrow but that walk is fine for most people. For us it worked as it was close enough with being further up the hill and being reliant on ‘shuttles’ - and being up from the centre gives you the view!
The breakfast buffet provided a great selection of food including bacon and eggs. The waitresses were very attentive. Great scenery from the outside dining area. Views from the balcony room were incredible. Perfect location with a supermarket and restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance.
Nothing
This property is slightly outside of the main strip for Sorrento, but in easy access to walk. We had the most amazing room (303) it had an incredible view over Sorrento, the room was really big, with a separate dressing room and bathroom. The hotel is not conventional in layout, but this adds to the delightfulness, the breakfast/dining area is wonderful, overlooking Sorrento. The staff were extremely attentive. The pool is really nice and on the roof top with great views.
Nothing
Awesome view of the bay and ocean from the different floors of the hotel , very convenient location, good quality service 24 hours excellent staff service very helpful and kind , ocean view rooms with balcony and very clean and confortable , really nice pool with ocean view , restaurant offer really delicious food and bar service really good drinks plus live music at night gives a really nice atmosphere.... parking valet service if you have a car with you and shuttle ... and also they offer tour services that is convenient. Definitely a excellent option to stay if you want to spend quality time and enjoy your vacations ...
Very authentic Italian.
Perfect location with the most beautiful view of Sorrento from the cliff side.
That we had to leave
My wife and I had a great 10 night stay at the Minerva Hotel. Nobody could possibly doubt the spectacular panoramic views looking beyond Sorrento and beyond.
First of all we have to praise all the staff from the front desk to the house keeping! Everyone was so friendly, approachable and accommodating.
Special mention to Alessandro, Antonio and Alfonso and the dining room team. I never really got all their names from the front reception but they always smiled and acknowledged us on arrival or departure.daily!
This was our second visit to Sorrento and we selected the hotel because it offered us a place to retreat too, away from the centre after excursions of day trips to Positano & Naples as well as a haven too enjoy the serene tranquility of the evening that its 5th floor verandah, balconies and pool offered when the sun was hot!
Would we come back.....FOR SURE!!!
