Room was clean.
Booking.com screwed this up more than the HI Club Vacations. The main criteria i selected for a rental was AIR CONDITIONING. This property was presented as having AC when in fact IT DID NOT. Hot Summer weather and rooms that would only allow a 3" gap in the window. An uncomfortable stay due to Bookings not vetting the property!
The staff at front desk was exceptional. The location a bit out there but very pretty. Upper level (point) rooms were very nice. Our smaller room (no points) was also nice. The surrounding woods made a nice setting.
My main concern was the total unpreparedness of the facility and maintenance dept to deal with a power outage. Dangerous, and clearly not meeting even the minimum requirements of elecyrical code. For example unlit long dark halways (not having back up generator lighting even at a minimum. Totally dark stairwell (Plaza Building) in which someone put green glow sticks at each landing (I almost killed myseld), no elevator (Plaza Building) requiring guests to carry luggage down 5 flights. The "milky" pool which was milky before power outage. Other issues: (1) one-cup-portion of coffee for 10 cup coffee maker. The "Market" made a good pot but not open until 8am. The Bistro had excellent food (small menu) but didn't open until noon. This place needs a small restaurant open for B/L/D. The elevators need new carpeting (gross).
The rooms are spacious, the views are great and if you’re looking for a space that’s not right in the center of town it’s perfect.
The rooms were nice but dusty and really hot. There is no AC so definitely not a summer pick because the rooms do get really hot. They had fans but again there were not cleaned so I couldn’t use it the first night we stayed and they make you wash your towels before you leave
The Village was very comfortable.
The shower very uncomfortable the tub is almost impossible to claim in very dangerous for a senior.
Recently stayed here as we were attending the American Century Championship celebrity golf practice. On our first night after a long day at the golf course and being at the casinos, we get to our room only to find that there's no hot water. Since it was a very hot day, we wanted to take a shower to unwind and freshen up. I had to take a cold shower, then later my boyfriend attempted to also take a shower only to then realize there was no longer any running water. I called the front desk and security at approximately 10:00pm and no one answered. I then texted the number that the front desk provided for assistance and received an auto-response. I did not hear back from them until the morning stating they were working on the hot water (it was approximately 8:30am when I received a reply to my text). Eventually the water was back and running and we were able to go about our day, but it was very inconvenient to deal with. On our last morning, I called the front office and asked for a one hour extension to our check-out (they're check-out policy is 10:00am!) and the staff member stated she would have to check with her manager to see if she could approve our request and she would call me back, but I received no call back. Overall, our stay here was not great and we did not feel like the staff cared about us at all.
Stayed March 13–17 2026. What started as a bad experience became an infuriating one — not because of a single incident, but because of how completely management refused to take responsibility for any of it.
Check-in alone took two hours. Several rooms were assigned, none of the key cards worked, and staff eventually placed us in a temporary unit overnight before moving us to our booked suite the next morning.
During that move, I accidentally left my gold necklace on the bathroom vanity in the temporary unit. Housekeeping serviced that room, and afterward it was gone. The unit had been unoccupied by other guests the entire weekend — the only people with access were my party and the housekeeper. We filed a police report, and the responding deputy told us this hotel generates these reports frequently: guests alleging valuables go missing after housekeeping.
But here is what this review is really about: the management's response was a total abdication of responsibility.
- They were dismissive and unprofessional at every turn.
- I was told only that the investigation was 'ongoing' and 'confidential,' and that the necklace 'was not found' — no real explanation, no effort to make it right.
- I left repeated messages for management and the head of security. Not one was ever returned.
- I stayed three additional nights trying to get answers in person. I got nothing — no assistance, no follow-up, no resolution.
- I never received so much as an apology.
Their entire defense was that housekeeping is a third-party contractor. That is the attitude that defines this place. Something goes wrong on their property, and management's instinct is to find a reason it isn't their problem, ignore your calls, and wait for you to give up.
A hotel is only as good as how it treats guests when things go wrong. By that measure, this one fails completely. Leadership here is unaccountable, unresponsive, and does not care. Book elsewhere.
We took a chance on a place with no air conditioning. Bad choice!!!!! You would think you have windows in the room that open. Wrong! According to ordnances windows can only open about 2” which is insufficient for cooling the room. The first 2 nights we were here it was warm in the room. The third night we slept 2 hours because it was unbearably HOT! The next day we found out there are portable ac’s. That should have been offered at check in. Rooms are way too hot to be in during the day. To top it all off, there were some very disruptive people at the pool making me feel unsafe by myself. We had a studio room as our time share. In a studio you have no plates, cups, or silverware. It’s a bring your own.
On the positive side, bless Russell for hooking us up with the ac!!!!! Thanks Russell!!!!!
No AC. Hot. Sweating all night. No sleep no happy
View was stunning, and the staff, especially Tamara and Adrianne were so helpful and friendly!!!
The fireplace glass in our room was so dirty, you couldn't see the fire! Also, the pillows were too small, and too thick for us.
Location and staff
Tram/hotel ‘ski’ gondola was not operational.
Upgrade to laminate floors. Carpet is really nasty.
Location
Nothing
Very comfortable and quiet. Beautiful location. I loved the deep tub in my room. The wristbands took some getting used to. The only thing was I could have used a wastebasket in the living/ dining area.
Nothing really.
