Läget
Väldigt slitet hotell.
The place was derelict. The photos advertised were from at least 20 years ago and the place has fallen apart since. The annex building we stayed in had the fire door open all night, so no security. Some windows were boarded up and round the back some of the rooms were so derelict they had no glass in the windows.
Location was perfect to our intended hiking
The room was far too hot i know it's summer everywhere is hot but the window could only open a tiny bit and may be if funs were offered that could have helped
Very comfortable but could have done with a fan on such warm weather
Rooms to hot
Breakfast
Everything else small "superior double wasn't paying £143 for dinner was terrible after 1 hours wait the kitchen was closed because they couldn't cope I had to return my meal and get a refund
Hotel outside corridor roof was falling down
Not what I expect from a hotel
I would not recommend this hotel I its present form
The staff were excellent most helpful, the food was superb and served piping hot.
Cannot fault the service at all.
The rooms really do need updating mine had a carpet that was threadbare in places, it was stifling in the room with no air con.
And the price I paid really didn't match the rooms I and my Son got his was even smaller than mine and mine was small.
Location and food were good
I booked 3 superior rooms mine was 104 compared to the other 2 rooms I'm sure 104 was nor a superior one, relatively small and quite noisy think it was close to the main boiler resulting in a poor nights sleep.
Apart from location of this property, everything else was worse.
Almost everything. Very poorly managed property. Broken ceilings and peeling paints across corridor was very concerning. Room which was given to us was definitely not worth the money we paid. Room was very small, carpets had worn out. Breakfast was also not good.
The location, very close to Ben Nevis which was the reason for our stay.
We were moved rooms from our original (room 2) to room 10. Both rooms very very dated a d run down in appearance.
In Room 10 the temperature was unbearable as the radiator was on very hot but appeared to have the controls removed from the valves so we couldn't turn it off. One of the beds was jammed up close to the radiator.
Window was opened however this room was directly above the kitchen area I think and the extractors and general kitchen noise was very loud including staff taking breaks.
In the bathroom the towel holder was broken and just hung on the mount, the general cleanliness wasn't great.
Can't comment on the leisure facilities or food as I never used them.
At £136 for 1 noght with no breakfast i think it is well over priced.
Just the location, property is maintained very poorly. Patched everywhere.
Staffs were not accommodating. Property looks very old. Mats and windows were dirty. More money for a single day stay. Do not charge more price if we are not accessing the leisure activities.
Less facilities in room. No fridge or microwave there.
Location
Tired rooms in need of update .
The location….and the shower head!
It felt like going back in time 30 years and the hotel had not been updated. It smelt damp, hotel signage had fallen off the outside, the heating was on in the corridor, the walls were paper thin, I am pretty sure I clicked on breakfast included and it wasn’t, and it cost £220. It was a total rip off.
Close too location staff were very helpful
