Good Choice.
Pros:

Great location, good wifi, well maintained older building.

This is an older building so the rooms a little cozy but workable.

Was my first time in Jasper. This hotel was right in the middle of town and the mountain views were amazing .

Die Lage war gut. Parkplatz direkt gegenüber. Restaurants vor Ort. Personal freundlich.

Cons:

Alles veraltet. Unser Zimmer sehr klein. Wenig Ablagemöglichkeit. Sehr laut, Bahnhof direkt davor. In der ersten Nacht kam ein übler Geruch von außen, da der nicht wegging. Überteuert, für weniger Geld hatten wir deutlich besseres während unserem Aufenthalt in Kanada. Wenn der Preis günstig wäre, wäre es angemessen.

I travel through Jasper twice a year and will always choose to stay at the Astoria.
Pros:

The old timey feel of the hotel and its history. I didn't mind that the room was tiny. It made it seem more legitimate, and the bathroom was also tiny, but that was fine, too. The staff apologized for the loudness of the bar, but I really didn't notice it.

Cons:

I liked everything. I liked the fact that the decor was old-fashioned and worn and that the bathroom and the room itself were tiny. Some people might not like it like that, but I did.

Pros:

Excellent location right downtown. Many shops and restaurants were close by, within walking distance. Staff was always available at the front desk. Room had fridge and coffee/tea facilities. Free parking across the road.

Cons:

The hotel was very old and needed some refreshing. Rooms and bathrooms were very small. Stair access only.
