This hotel has mixed reviews, overall I had a pleasant stay, room was spotless, beds comfortable and clean, bathroom was sparkling, yes the public area needs a wee freshen up, staff were extremely friendly, allowed us to store our bags in a safe place after checkout until or bus left at 4pm, breakfast was really freshly prepared and nice, location is good, short walk (about 2 minutes) to train station and harbour, I probably would use this hotel again.

Old building was in need of upgrading as noise from creaky floors thin walls etc.
Breakfast was great. Lots of choice, good quality. Room was spotless and dinner was lovely and good value. Staff in all areas were fabulous.
It seems a strange complaint but the hot water in the bathroom was TOOOOO hot! Practically scalding.

On arrival we were informed that breakfast was not available as there was a Bridge Conference booked in for breakfast! We were not informed of this beforehand which tainted our stay slightly.

Very good value for money, clean and cosy room.
Staff were amazing, which makes up for the fact that the hotel is a bit tired and creaky - i was on the 4th floor and the people in the room above me were up before 6 so that meant I was awake. However, because of your team, the stay was enjoyable and the food was very good
Not a lot you can do to stop the creaky floors- it's the age of the building. However I will be back for a long weekend with my Mum soon

The hotel looks quite old and tired. Sadly I didn’t sleep well - walls seem to be quite thin and I could hear everything from the adjacent rooms. Earplugs recommended
