Hotel Atismar

This 3 star hotel is excellent value for money,the food…there was always stuff to eat,full breakfast eggs bacon mushrooms beans hash brown,fresh fruit,yoghurt,breads,cereals, hot lunch, hot dinner always salads,then some nights salmon,sword fish,rice,pork,chips,veg,drinks fine smirnhoff vodka,wine beer etc great value for money in a great location,we upgraded to a superior room which was lovely really comfy beds,floor 10 great views of the beautiful beach,our room was lovely had a balcony,tv limited channels,take a hairdryer and travel kettle,the bathroom was spotless modern with a shower above the bath and I love a bath and plenty of hot water,there is a bus station over the road we caught a bus to loule (not much there) we caught a bus to old town albufeira was 50 mins on bus,we walked there and back to Vilamoura it was a 3 hour round trip including a drink stop 15,000 steps (7 miles ish there and back) it’s a nice walk but my feet ached when we got back ha ha! Uber into Vilamoura from outside hotel to oneills is £4.36 or you can catch a free bus there ask at reception,staff at hotel are a can do bunch makes a rare change I have been to 5 star hotels and not had such friendly staff especially on reception,thank you we enjoyed our stay,there are two lifts in the hotel a outdoor swimming pool that’s not heated which is a shame so never went in it,weather was mixed dry and dull most days but not really cold average 16-18 don’t rely on forecast as it said rain everyday and it only rained once! Thank you Atismar great break away and value for money I would recommend.(remember if you want a 5 star pay for one! )

Not good, rooms are clean but not enough sockets and no hairdryer, food is not good and all inc ends at 10pm also no entertainment apart from a tv in the bar, would not return or recommend

Love this hotel! The staff really make this place feel like home, the two lovely gentlemen on reception were super friendly and helpful and made sure we had an amazing stay. We were given a beautiful spacious newly refurbished room on the 8th floor with a sea view. Although the food may be a smaller selection compared to other all inclusive hotels, it was delicious every single day. The meat was always cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Also thank you to the blond lady behind the bar who made us some delicious strong cocktails!
Honestly recommend this hotel so much. Amazing staff, great value, close to the beach, shops and bars, cannot fault it!

The front desk staff were very helpful when I reported that there were ants in our room. Only a few rooms affected by this. Hotel is undergoing upgrades to all rooms which is ongoing. We were then moved to another room, which was very good and had recently been updated
A very quick response. No kettle or hairdryer in room but available at reception. The front desk staff were very helpful and very pleasant. The cleaners were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast gives a lot of choice for everyone, also evening meal has a great selection and includes unlimited drinks. This hotel does not deserve the bad criticism as overall it is still being updated.
The location is excellent for beach, bars, restaurants and buses.
We enjoyed our stay for a week.

Great Hotel, it was a repeat visit all inclusive for a week. The food and drink was good and it is very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is near the beach, bars, restraunts and shops. Quartiera is very central for exploring using Vamous bus. I would highly recommend this Hotel

The room was very clean. Every day after the maid came in, it smelt lovely. The bed was so comfortable (2 single beds pushed together, which i loved, because had that bit of extra space for myself 😊) and the shower was great. It was powerful and hot water everytime. The walls we're a bit thin, so you could hear people in the next room. There was a great variety of food at meal times, but unfortunately wasn't covered up and therefore wasn't very hot. Staff were very polite and helpful. Would stay here again if visiting Quarteira

This is a nice hotel just needs some TLC, the staff there are super friendly and kind, it’s only a 1 minute walk to the beach, there is a lot of restaurants and cafes around as well so it make it better for holiday makers, there is no mini fridge in the room, there’s no kettle but you can ask for one if you want it, the tvs are nice and lots of channels to watch if you like that, the bar is small but nice, I had all inclusive and said bar snacks but I was told there was no snacks at all that way a big let down for me and the hotel need some updating and lots of paintwork as well, the food is really nice but not a lot of variety it was fine for me, I will go back and stay there but I think I don’t will just get a room and go out and try lots of different food at the restaurants and cafes

Value for Money
This was our 2nd stay at this hotel, and my mum and I really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very pleasant. On request, we were allocated a sunny room on the ninth floor. At times it was noisy as they appeared to be working on the tenth floor and we also had ants coming from the air conditioning unit. The room itself was spacious and comfortable.
The food was of a fair standard although there was not a lot of choice and the dessert was rather repetitive. We were very satisfied with the service in the restaurant.
I was surprised the hotel did not provide towels for use in the swimming-pool area.

We have just had a weeks stay at the Atismar Hotel and as other reviews say it’s a little dated But what a fantastic experience it has been , the staff.were lovely , nothing to much trouble . We were on the 10th floor so amazing views across the ocean . Food was good and plenty of it . We are going to miss our morning coffees in the beach cafe , we had a lovely meal on our last night at the Taberna Do Peixe ( would definitely recommend.
To sum it up very sad to be leaving .

What a lovely hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful plenty of choice at meal times and the selection of wine and beer at meal times was excellent we had a lovely sea view room and being so near to the beach was a bonus everything was perfect will definitely be booking next year .

Inte fri utsikt till stranden. Det är ett hur emellan... men om man får rum på 7e våningen så känns det ganska luftigt och nära ändå.
Frukosten är typistk "all-inclusive" frukost men den är helt ok absolut.
Vägg i vägg med hotellet är det en Indiskt restaurang. Också helt ok.

Propere kamer met uitzicht op het strand, 100m wandelen naar het strand. Personeel is super vriendelijk.

I would just like to say this is not 5 star hotel but absolutely brilliant 3 star plus hotel just got back from 11day at this hotel was there 1 September to 12 id just like to say the people who keep putting this hotel down need to get a life there was me and my wife plus 3 other couples at this hotel for my son's wedding everyone that works there are brilliant from walking into the reception in to the bar into the restaurant in the restaurant there was always something there to eat pool doesn't open till 10 o'clock but the pool side very clean just got to say a massive thank you to everyone for making our holiday special thanks from Ossie and Sandra and the rest of the wedding party you will be seeing us again x🥰⛱️🍺

The hotel is perfectly located and convenient access to beach and boardwalk. We did have an issue with ants in the first room we had been given, however staff did their best to address and was able to move us, after one day, to another room.

I loved this hotel its a bit dated but clean staff are so helpful we will be back on the 14th November this year hopefully Ivan the barman will still be there absolutely lovley young Man

 Terrible experience, so disappointed, stayed 1 night and left the next morning, and paid £200 to change our flights to leave early. these are my reasons why:
1. Room out dated, walls look grubby and dirty
2. Furniture beaten up, smoke alarm looks broken and taped up
3. Bathroom tiny, can't fit 2 people in it, toilet noisy, bath stained and has a chip, ants on the walls, mould on sealant.
4. VERY strong smell of chemicals in the room, for the 1st time in a very long time I had an asthma attack during the night, which I think was the cause.
5. Two tiny lifts, one was broken, the other wouldn't stop at our floor, after 20 mins waiting I had to struggle with our large suitcases down several floors.
6. Unable to get sun loungers near the pool, only around 35 loungers for the whole hotel.
7. Hotel room noisy, could hear other guests talking in their rooms and the traffic outside.
There was also a fight outside in the evening, where a guy grabbed another guy by his throat.
8. All inclusive, very poor, very few options, there wasn't anything my daughters would eat, so we had to go out for dinner (which was actually very nice, but meant additional costs)
9. The pool bar had rusty barb wire and decaying walls, drinks served in plastic cups
10. My daughters were very tired and grumpy as they said their beds were uncomfortable, and my eldest woke up with a rash on her chest and back.
11. When we complained to reception they apologised but said it wasn't their department, when I asked to speak to the office, they said they wouldn't speak to me, that they would only talk directly to the booking provider.
12. Contacted booking.com, who said that they had phoned and emailed the hotel, but they were not replying.
We stayed 1 night and had 1 soft drink.

Eventually, the hotel agreed to refund us back the three nights that we didn't stay. However, we were charged for the one night we did stay, even though we didn't eat there.

I sent my son on a much needed 1 week holiday to Hotel Atismar

The condition of the hotel and its facilities are disgusting and shocking – namely:

1. Poor Decoration
2. Dated condition
3. Plaster falling of walls
4. Poor condition Sanitaryware (cracked / broken)
5. Windows that are broken / don’t open
6. Damp on walls and ceilings
7. Fixtures and fittings that don’t work

The above were all complained about but nothing was done.

The final issue was my son discovering cockroaches in his room – only for the staff to just spray in the room

I find all of the above completely disgusting and unacceptable.

We stayed for a week here for are friends 60th birthday. Food was brilliant something for everyone staff were brilliant in restaurant bar staff can be very rude especially when there was no ice just could not be bothered to gave a reason just said tell reception
Swimming pool was absolutely freezing even when sun had been on it all day was still freezing
Cleaner did any absolutely amazing job smelt and looked clean
Room are a bit dated could do with a make over and bath needed replacing
Lifts too small for amount of people staying at hotel
It was close to beach and town walking distance
Lovely little shops
And a very nice cake / coffee shop
