Great location, good continental breakfast, although awful coffee.
We've stayed here before and this was worse. Room poor, bed uncomfortable and sloped to middle, light by bed had no light bulb!. Receptionist although very pleasant, took 10 minutes to arrive at checkin when repeatedly pressing doorbell, then disappeared completely, no response to bell at reception despite hearing voices in private area.
No tea and coffee in room which is included in room description. There is in downstairs lounge but no use if you want a pre bed drink.
Manger arrogant and disinterested. He said they were too busy to staff the desk or update room description, where as Receptionist had said they were quiet that night. His only response was go find another hotel.
For at least half an hour the fire exit near the room was blocked by bedding piled on the staircase.
Its a shame as with little effort or cost this could be so much better.
The room was OK a double bed the breakfast was alright that's about it
There was no tea and coffee facility in the room no kettle hot water was on a timer when you pay for a room you expect that a less couldn't even boil a kettle to have a wash because there wasn't one
Location
No heating, freezing cold, people was sitting in their coats having breakfast.
The free breakfast was very homely and staff were welcoming to
The showers were cold when the heating went off rooms were cosy but bathroom cold no heating in ours
On my first night there was no-one at reception - a new guest was banging and banging on the door to get in. Freezing cold room. Weak shower.
The staff were great, the property was clean and tidy in a good location and this all came with a free continental breakfast.
It was cold, very cold.
