Beautiful hotel and very professional staff, but I want to warn future guests about the room upgrade system.

I originally booked a standard room and later received an “upgrade your stay” offer through an external platform. Unfortunately, the process was not transparent at all.

I genuinely believed I was bidding for the upgraded suite price itself, while the hotel system treated it as an additional per-night charge on top of my already prepaid reservation.

There was no clear final confirmation email showing:
- the accepted upgrade amount,
- that it was charged per night,
- or the final total after the upgrade.

In the end, the final suite price was correct mathematically, but the communication around the upgrade process was extremely confusing and stressful.

Just something future guests should pay close attention to before accept

I wanted to share my experience as it may be helpful for other guests. Unfortunately, I don’t think I would return to this hotel, mainly because of a few issues.

First, smoking and vaping around the pool areas was a daily problem during our stay. I saw guests smoking or vaping by the pools every day, and it didn’t seem like the hotel staff were addressing it. Some people were doing it for long periods of time, and in hot weather the smell felt especially unpleasant. As someone who really dislikes smoke, it was frustrating to feel like I had to breathe it in while trying to relax by the pool. The hotel appears to have a no-smoking policy in the rooms, but this does not seem to be properly enforced in the public outdoor areas.

Second, the atmosphere of the hotel has changed compared with a few years ago. It used to feel more relaxing, and one of the main pools was adults-only. Now the hotel feels much more family-oriented, with many young children actively and loudly playing in the pools throughout the day. There is a small adults-only area, but the pool there is very small and not really suitable for swimming. I also noticed children touching food at the buffet several times, which was not pleasant to see.

Another issue was that the hotel felt very crowded, even though we visited outside the high season. Breakfast was especially busy, with too many people at the same time, and the staff often seemed overwhelmed. Service at both breakfast and dinner was quite slow. The waiters also regularly made mistakes with drinks — sometimes they took a very long time to bring them, and other times they brought the wrong order. We also noticed mistakes on the bill, which added to the overall frustration.

Overall, this hotel may be a good choice for families with small children or for guests who are not bothered by smoking or vaping in public areas. However, for someone looking for a calm, relaxing, smoke-free holiday with smooth service, it was disappointing.

The wonderful staff made our holiday a truly memorable experience. W can't wait to go back!

The rooms the grounds the pools the breakfast were fabulous such a wide choice of food . Staff were so helpful always so cheerful greets everyone with a smile. Cleanliness was a very high standard and the beds were so comfortable.

The hotel was far better than we expected. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-designed. The main pool was excellent—heated saltwater at around 25°C, which was perfect for this time of year (end of April).

The staff were very friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable.

The location is fantastic, especially if you enjoy walking along the coast, as we do.

We also really liked the “Seen” restaurant in the hotel—it has a great atmosphere and excellent food. We ended up dining there two or three times during our stay.

The Tivoli anjoys a great location. It thoroughly desrves its 5* status. The hotel is very well maintained. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

An excellent hotel with top class dining areas, swimming pools set in a large expanse. Welcoming and polite staff. Food of high quality. Walks on the promenade - 2 minutes from the hotel. Overall excellent experience.

All facilities good and selection of food, excellent.

Stayed here yet again and always enjoy our holidays here.Staff very attentive and friendly and lovely chatting to Lois at front desk who was very helpful. We always get same room overlooking the pool with a lovely balcony and sun loungers.
Room was well cleaned and clean towels brought at night too. My only minor complaint would be the salad bar improved at breakfast. Feel the quality and quantity could see room for improvement. Ate lovely meal at Yakuza and Seen which were both excellent. Nice entertainment at bar till 9.45 pm if you are back in time!

Everything you could possibly want was on site. The hotel is lovely with great restaurants and pools. It was heaven
