BOOK AT YOUR PERIL. This hotel has just cancelled are booking for June 17th 2023 stating 'Hotel closed to public'. They have had our booking since October 2022 and we were booking for an event in Twickenham stadium. Cancelling SO LATE has meant we CANNOT fine a reasonably priced alternative. This lot should be made to PAY FOR ALTERNATIVE ACCOMODATION. .......NO WE ARE NOT HAPPY and comms from this place is non existent....BOOK AT YOUR PERIL..BOOK AT RISK...and if you on insist on booking with these jokers MAYBE BOOK ANOTHER BACK JUST INCASE!
Avoid booking this hotel what a waste of time, can’t believe after booking this place last year for a wedding in July they now tell me it’s cancelled. This should not be allowed , and booking.com should remove them from there site, I’ve now had to book elsewhere at twice the cost.
I booked this hotel through booking.com last year and upon arrival was met by a gentleman who came straight over to our car on the car park and informed us the hotel was closed and under remission. However ethnic minorities came in and out of the hotel doors, there were bicycles outside the door and lights on and food in the windows. I phoned booking.com who contacted the hotel only to be told our booking was still open. Would this not be a scam ????? Luckily we are going to be refunded but left us with no accommodation for the night.
The hotel cancelled a booking for 2 rooms we had booked 8 months previously with no warning or reason and now it is too late to get anything else in the local area for those dates.
If we had cancelled we would have been charged the full amount but it seems they think it is ok to cancel us. There is a big event on locally that night and they clearly want to cahs in by charging more money for the room now.
Yet again this hotel has cancelled our booking just before an event at Twickenham. Last time was one nonsense about staff. This time they're apparently closing for a renovation that night. Coincidentally after we booked long in advance and similarly when they realise there's an event on. Sh*thousery at its finest. Do not trust these people with an important booking.
after booking and paying up front, we arrived to find the hotel closed and like a building site, it should never have been advertised.
Firstly I would like to thank everyone for the most perfect afternoon, you truly looked after us. We celebrated my parents Ruby wedding anniversary here. From the moment we arrived the staff were so welcoming, friendly and attentive.
They made our party a very enjoyable experience. Nothing was too much trouble. Mark looked after my parents as if they were his own family. He was great with the children. The tables looked beautiful. Our three course meal was perfect, everyone’s food came out together, hot and perfectly right..... 41 of us in total !!
The food was delicious and the team of waiters and waitresses were wonderful, gave an impression that they were very happy in their job. The bar staff too, very friendly welcoming and had banter with our younger members of family.
It was a very special occasion to us as a family and Everyone at Kingston Lodge did us proud.
Special thanks to Mark.
Date of stay: January 2020
Plenty of free parking & quiet location.
A nice hotel but a bit tired looking , the hotel could do with a paint job and general tidy , friendly staff , good but basic breakfast . I would not use this hotel again due to the distance from the town , it took us a good twenty minute walk into the centre and the location was not a nice walk in the dark
We had to leave very unexpectedly, but did find the hotel a little run down looking from the outside. We had arrived early and the room was ready, but we could only check in early for an extra charge which we declined, as we were going out anyway so just left our bags in the car. The room was supposed to be an executive room however, it was like any other room we had ever stayed in so don’t know what was executive about it. Tea tray was a bit stingy with 1 packet of biscuits between 2 of us (1 biscuit each). Only 4 milk cartons, but plenty of tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom had nice shower gel and lotion supplied with plenty of towels but, also had blue insulation tape on the radiator and the ceiling above the bath was peeling it all looked a little tired. The room was clean and perfectly comfortable, but definitely lacked that added luxury that I thought we had upgraded to with executive. Maybe that was my own fault not checking exactly what the difference was between normal and executive aside from the price. Sadly, our trip was cut short with an emergency, so we never got to stay overnight or sample the breakfast.
good location and amenities
superb service and care from the staff, especially Hibha (sorry if spelt wrong) who really went the extra mile and had great information to share with us as visitors to London.
Hash browns were frozen and nobody apologised.milk in the room was out of date nobody apologised. No replenishment of coffee/milk in room after 1st night definitely not 4star
I stayed in room 101 on the lower level on the hotel which was basically in the service area of the hotel even though the hotel like many was less than half full. Most of the service doors had been left open so could see inside the linen store, bin area, etc.The bedroom was run down and had a view looking over the bin area. The TV remote was not working & the jiggers of milk were off which I didn’t find out till the morning so wasn’t worth complaining. Breakfast was mediocre very basic quality products, no orange juice very poor cranberry drink not juice offered instead. The fire alarm system went of just before 7am which apparently was faulty. VFM was poor and would not recommend staying especially as there are plenty of other deals available at the moment.
We had an excellent evening at Kingston Lodge for our memorial tribute to a dear friend.
The room we hired was fully prepared and tables ready for the arrival of our party.
The venue was ideal for the number of guests we invited.
Drinks and our buffet were exactly as requested.
The staff were friendly, efficient and saw to all our needs throughout the evening.
Highly recommended.
We certainly enjoyed ' a warm and friendly reception at Kingston Lodge'
We spent 3 nights at Kingston Lodge.
The staff especially the manager could not be more helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble.
For those concerned about COVID.. there are many sanitiser stations all of the hotel.
The rooms are clean.
The staff where masks.
The breakfast was an English breakfast and cereal, muffins etc to choose from.
The evening meals were good. We had half board and this suited us well. So we had a three course meal every night.
Of course drinks are extra.
The location is amazing. On the edge of Richmond park.
In summary.. excellent value for London and location.
Will definitely return.
Staff were very helpful and were happy to deal with any queations. Rooms are tired and need a bit of updating.
The bar and restaraunt were not open, although staff did provide non alcholic alternatives. Breakfast was a grab bag which was disapointing.

I had read quite a few of the previous reviews and hoped that the management would have taken on board comments about ‘cleaning’ etc...
We stayed here (like others) for the location for my partner to revisit his childhood on his birthday weekend. The hotel was advertised on booking.com as being fully open.
This could be a 5 star hotel at the moment it is bearly a 3 star standard.
The hotel is managed by a group of young men who are not interested nor experienced enough to understand customer service.
Hence the hotel is unloved which for a beautiful Georgian house is very sad. The only signs of care is from the person who undertakes the garden.
For full details read the previous Customer reviews as nothing has changed. My review is on booking.com.
Don’t except the bagged breakfast and be aware that they breach Food safety standards if you have food intolerances. I saw no evidence of the Food Hygiene rating that they are required to display.
We stayed in a beautiful hotel called Oatlands park in weybridge for 100 pounds per night and travelled in to Richmond. I would recommend the young men take a trip to see how you run a 4 star hotel.
I stay for almost one month as a keyworker, the room was dated but it was clean, quiet, had a little balcony with a lovely garden ,Daniel was very helpful, all the staff were nice and always with a smile on there face!if i go back to London i will stay there again!
