Pros:

Rooms are comfortable, and breakfast is superb.

Cons:

I had to work during one week and my family would stay at the hotel. We received papers in our room announcing there would be no water (i.e., no shower, no toilet, no swimming pool) all day long for the whole week (Mo 12 to Fr 16 Jan 2026). I asked if I could have a discount, but they said no. They had me register for Marriott Bonvoy app so that they would give points that I could change for rewards. Never got them. They also charged a different price in my credit card and I had to go back there in person to solve it.

Not super tourist friendly location, nice overall with kids
Pros:

The breakfast is extensive. Not just the usual hotel offerings. It was awesome that there was an indoor pool. The kids loved it and it there were a decent number of chairs around the pool.

The room was decent though fairly compact. The showers were great. The bathrooms in general were set up well for a shared space (we booked a 2 bedroom suite).

Cons:

Parking is absurdly expensive, even for DC ($70+ a day with tax). We chose the location specifically but recognize it is not super close to most of the main attractions, restaurants, metro, etc. Plan to have to drive to get to anywhere touristy.

I was traveling with 3 kids and my mom who has challenged mobility and had difficulty getting someone to open the door on the side by the entrance to the parking garage meant for those who are disabled. The hotel (and city) did a horrible job of snow removal even more than a week after the storm that it was difficult to get to the front door or even unload luggage for those of us who didn’t have any challenges.

The unit is on the small side. With the sofa bed open it’s impossible to walk around or get to the desk/window. The other bedrooms were tighter than usual in a hotel.

Good and reasonable accomodation in DC also when travelling with kids
Pros:

Location, not too close not too far from Capitol hill and subway system. Spaciuos apartament, extremaly cosy beds.

Cons:

Breakfast very poor, some meals not to be eaten (taste of food awful, not for european stomach:) )

Cons:

the lighting in the rooms is so bad that the only place to read a book or non-back lit screen is in the bathroom. The construction noise was awful. The elevator service got interrupted daily. My guestroom had its water shut off for almost an entire day, no flushing toilets, no shower, no washing hands whatsoever. THIS should have been made known to me BEFORE I booked a reservation.

I highly commend Ms. Tracy Poteat. She allowed us an early check-in, facilitating our on-time arrival for scheduled appointments. She have sage advice on travel and gave encouragement for successful meetings outcomes. She went above and beyond and should be applauded and compensated for it!

El desayuno bueno, mejor que otros hoteles. La atención del frontdesk espectacular.

Cons:

Hay ocasiones en que ser un poco más amable dejaría mejor impresión, eso es válido para el personal del desayuno del hotel y los trabajadores de los museos de Washington, es un mal generalizado en esa ciudad. La tiendecita del hotel debería tener algunas opciones de comida congelada.
