Disappointed, disgusted and frustrated

The lady who checked me in was very nice and pleasant.

Cons:

The smell was awful in our room as soon as we opened the door to enter, we left to our event and came back to find not one but more then a few cockroaches climbing the walls. I have images of the bugs... the only thing the male night shift worker offered was a king suite instead of refunding my payment for the room... gave me a card with an email to his manager and I in fact emailed immediately and still have not got a response! We were more then five(5) hours away from home and ended up sleeping in our vehicle because of zero refund as we did not even stay at the room but only to literally change into our outfits for our function and had to rush out to our event. I was very disgusted with the unsanitary room! Very unacceptable and I would like a full refund back. I always stay at holiday inn express whenever I travel and have never had an issue with anything especially cleanliness and sanitary of any of my rooms ive stayed in... cockroaches can make people very sick... please get an exterminator there quickly to clean that whole place up... I was in fear that those cockroaches got into our luggage while we were gone... those multiply quickly. Earliest response appreciated, my cell phone number is 541-460-0263. My name is merima made.

Pros:

The stuff was friendly and accommodating, except for the night manager when someone was walking the parking lot looking into cars and I told him about it and he said well we don't go out and do anything about it. The next day I spoke to the manager and he said he would take care of that because he should have done something.

Cons:

Is it homeless in captain on the other side of the fence with the telephone wires are excuse me I should say power lines about eight of them they should really do something about that. It's not their problem but the city definitely should

Smoking fee scam
Pros:

I was scammed $250 dollars for a smoking fee. I never smoked in the room. This was confirmed by 2 hotel staff. I was still charged

Pros:

Littered with homeless people, drug addicts. We were greeted with policemen with guns drawn entering the hotel, if that gives you any indication of the safety of this hotel. Not to mention the loud freeway noise that cannot be drowned out. Stay elsewhere, closer to downtown Everett is safer.
