Everything. Awesome bright decorations. Location in Gaslamp District with nearby restaurants and bars plus the proximity to Petco Park was perfect.
5 O Clock Somewhere Rooftop Bar was lots of fun with great views.

Gilbert was a fantastic bartender and gave us great recommendations for places to go and see while visiting the area. My Palma was great and so was the spicy mango whiskey shot was great chilled!

Clean, bright, modern. Comfortable bed. Pretty good fitness room. Great cocktail made by barman.

I had an excellent experience with Lance at the front desk while organizing my reservation—not just for myself, but for my entire team attending an upcoming event in San Diego. From the start, Lance was incredibly accommodating and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed throughout the process.

He handled everything quickly and accurately, and his friendly, professional attitude really stood out. Coordinating travel for a group can be stressful, but Lance made the whole experience smooth and reassuring. Thanks to him, I feel confident that our stay will be well-organized and enjoyable.

I truly appreciate his help and hope to work with him again on future visits. Lance is a great asset to the team!

I booked this hotel through Amex THC and it’s my first time visiting San Diego. I will start off with the good things. Because of THC, they were able to check me in at around 1 pm. Nice to leave my stuff and went to explore the city. They also allowed me to check out as late as 3 pm. The room was also upgraded for me to stay at 9th floor and it was spacious. It’s close to the MTS, close to check out Seaport, and the downtown area. The patio on the 4th floor is nice for an evening or night sit down and very spacious. If you are looking for nice beaches, this might NOT be a good area as it’s too far. Service was slow when I initially checked in cuz there was one male staff and he seemed to be on the phone with a client, so I sat down at the table in front of him because I was standing like 5 mns already. Then, there were 2 groups walking up at the time he finished the phone and he attended to them. He could have called and checked in with me because I sat at the table in front of the check in desks not the side. The FEES!!! There is a 40$ per night fee for amenities like gym, pool, and bikes which I did not use any of it. This fee should have been informed early before check in. The pool is also extremely small and you pretty much see kids in there all the time, so kinda tough to go in. Service during check out was good and attentive. After check out, I left my bag with the valet so that I can explore Coronado beach before my night flight. The dude with the long hair seems to be very annoyed and just cranky like it was so much of an inconvenience. Food/Breakfast is good but service is slow. Had to sit and wait like 40 mns for omelette. This could have been 5 star if those nightly fees were not there and service is improved.

I was not explained that they add $40/day for amenities and that the charge is mandatory. This kind of charge should just be baked into the price. I’ll never go back.

Had a great time at the Margaritaville. We were very taken care of. Estevan at the restaurant went above and beyond. The front desk staff were also quite nice checking us in.

Convenient location - just in the Gaslamp. Great room, comfy beds, all clean! They have a pool - small-ish, but good to refresh and just rest.
Saw some reviews mentioning homeless - saw ~5 in the whole downtown and area around hotel was quite clean.
