Pros:

Idéalement situé entre le château et le duomo. Chambres très spacieuses, confortables et calmes. Le personnel est très agréable, serviables et très aimable. Hôtel à recommander.

Exellent location in being in the heart of the city.
Pros:

Location and building were outstanding and room facilities were more than adequate. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast provided met expectations.

Cons:

Getting there during the staging of a marathon proved to be a big hassle as roads in the city center were closed. This was not due to any fault of the hotel but a reminder about timing when booking a location.

It was located in a quiet street steps away from the main roads where all the crowds are. Breakfast was very good, there were home made cakes, and bakeries were delicious.

Cons:

Antica Locanda dei Mercati is a set of rooms in one floor of an old building. The reception and breakfast is served in another floor. It is evident that the apartment was subdivided to create rooms and bathrooms, which gave an awkard feeling. The room was ok, the bathroom had a transparent glass sliding door with curtains, which could be easily be changed for frosted glass and give more privacy.

Wonderful stay in Milan.
Pros:

My wife and I really enjoyed this terrific hotel for our two nights in Milan. We would definitely stay there if we return to Milan. It's a very small hotel: only about 15 rooms. It occupies two floors of an older building in the historic area of Milan. It's a couple of minutes walk from the Duomo, la Scala and the Galleria. About a 15 minute walk to Basilica di Santa Maria delle Grazie (location of Last Supper). The small staff is attentive and made good recommendations on restaurants and things to do. Breakfast was cooked to order. The rooms were large, quiet and comfortable. A couple of caveats. Entrance to the hotel is from a small street, into a hall way, up a short staircase and then up a very small elevator to the first floor. You may want to confirm with hotel staff what room you are getting. The room we got was not as quaint as the rooms shown on the website, although still very, very nice. You should be aware that there is something a bit quirky about the hotel.

A nicely appointed city centre hotel

Extremely helpful staff

Cons:

Access is difficult (steps to main entrance) for older people with heavy luggage. However the staff provided every assistance and so it was not a problem.
