The hotel was great. Everything was wonderful. Special thanks to Jason, he was very helpful, kind. Hope to visit you again
Stayed for half term with family & friends.
The steakhouse / sushi restaurant was great, as was the Italian. Didn't have a great experience at the Greek though - good came out at very different times, forgot some dishes & no kids menu.
Breakfast buffet was good.
Pool was great, slightly heated this time of year. Be prepared for only some of the pool getting the sun this late in the season and as such was a bit of sunbed wars getting a bed in the sun. Also, the whole area was in the shade by 2pm, due to the early sunrise.
Staff were lovely and great
Rooms were clean and modern.
Gym was large and Although slightly old had everything you would want
Kids club was so good, my 3 year old loved it! (You have to stay with them if under 4)
Entertainment some evenings - I think more frequent in high season
Set on a beach which was beautiful and water really calm and safe for kids
Slight walk into the centre (25mins) with loads of bars & restaurants.
Would stay again!
I want to thank management sooo much for allowing us to extend our stay & provided us food when our son fell ill and was hospitalised and we had to stay for 6 unplanned additional nights. You made a really stressful experience less so!
Just got home from our 3rd visit to this wonderful hotel. Everything was perfect the staff were amazing snd the hotel was spotless. As a returning customer we were given a lovely tree ornament and a free meal in one of the restuaurants. Also hade a bottle of fizz and sweets in our room. The hotel have had a lot of improvements since last year which have made the hotel even better.Looking forward to booking again next year.
Stayed here with our extended family from 25 to the 1st of November, for our nieces wedding. Couldn’t fault the hotel
or the staff. Thanks for helping our stay a great one.
This is an absolute gem of a hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming.
We could not fault our room - we loved the touch screen lighting options next to our beds which also had good charging points for sockets and cables for our devices.
We had a good view from our balcony which also had a small seating area.
The bed was super comfortable.
The room also contains a safe and fridge - very handy and we were provided with robes and slippers. The shower gel provided was lovely (contained Argan oil!).
Breakfast - there is so much choice! Something for everyone. On the weekends, there were mini koubes (if you know, you know)! We also ate in the restaurant one evening for the Asian buffet - for 30 euros there was a lot of choice and there were some good vegetarian options too.
The hotel has many restaurants to choose from so if you don't want to leave the complex, you don't really need to. There is also two convenience shops across the road and a traditional Greek restaurant. The bus stop to travel to the Protaras strip/pier and to Ayia Napa is also outside the hotel and there is a code on the bus stop which you can scan for a live tracker of the bus.
The hotel is located in front of a stunning beach (run by the government so you pay a small fee for the sunbeds and umbrellas). Crystal clear water, excellent for snorkling. It is a bit rocky so water shoes are recommended. There are watersports available as well. If you want to sunbathe for free, the hotel has plenty of beds and an adult only zone as well. There are also lots of sunbeds by the swimming pool. The hotel give you a yellow ticket for your towels which you return and get fresh everyday.
The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff are constantly cleaning throughout the day.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone - family, couples etc. We were a couple with two adult/teenageers who had their own room and it was perfect for all of us. They had a schedule on display with a wealth of events for children as well so everyone is catered for, literally.
We have already booked to return next year.
We recently stayed at this hotel in Cyprus for a week as a group of 11, on a half-board basis. The hotel itself is modern, beautifully decorated, and has a relaxing atmosphere. On first impression, it truly feels like a high-standard property and we were excited for our stay.
Unfortunately, our experience was heavily overshadowed by serious concerns around the food. Four members of our group became severely unwell at different points throughout the trip with clear and aggressive food-poisoning symptoms. This was not a minor upset — it was debilitating. I am also 11 weeks pregnant, and the situation was particularly distressing; I was unable to eat properly for days afterwards.
When we raised these concerns with the hotel, we were extremely disappointed by their response. Rather than taking the situation seriously, they dismissed it — suggesting my illness was due to pregnancy and that the others were unwell because of “the change in weather.” Considering multiple adults and a child were affected separately over the course of the week, this explanation was unacceptable and felt dismissive rather than responsible.
What made the situation even more worrying was the lack of support when one of the children in our group was unwell for over 13 hours. Our friends requested bottled water from reception as they were unable to leave the room due to how unwell he was, and were told the hotel does not provide room service. Refusing such a basic request during an illness is not only poor service — it reflects a concerning lack of care for guest wellbeing.
Another point worth noting is the lack of basic ironing facilities. There is no iron in the rooms; instead, guests must book an “ironing room” in advance. For a hotel of this size, this system simply does not work. The room contained only two irons, which is not reasonable for the number of guests, especially for families staying for a full week who expect standard in-room amenities.
While the hotel is visually lovely and has strong potential, the severe illness experienced by multiple guests, the dismissive response when we reported it, the lack of basic support during sickness, and the impractical ironing setup all significantly impacted our stay. Until there are clear improvements in food safety, guest care, and facilities, we would not feel confident recommending this hotel — particularly to families or pregnant travellers.
Back again for our 3rd stay at Cavo Maris. We had requested a superior sea view room which we had before and the new upgraded rooms were lovely. The room itself has everything you need, great wardrobe space with full length mirrors and lights. The bathroom has a waterfall shower. Beds are super comfortable with a choice of pillows in the pillow menu. The touch pad controls next to the bed control everything from lights to air con. The tv has all the hotel and area information and Netflix. The balcony has a table and chairs and amazing sea views. The hotel is located a short walk into protaras along the road or boardwalk by the sea. The bus stops on the road outside the hotel with buses a short trip to Ayia Napa and further. Breakfast was spectacular, a buffet of everything you could want. The restaurant within the hotel looked lovely and a great choice. Plenty of sun beds for everyone either around the pool or gardens looking out to the sea. The pool was amazing with a large adult only jacuzzi, a kids pool and swim up bar. Down a few steps and you are on the beach with sun loungers. Staff were all friendly and helpful.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Family Holiday at Cavo Maris Hotel
We stayed at Cavo Maris as a family of four (two adults and two kids) and had such a lovely time. The two-storey family room was ideal – really spacious, modern, and comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone.
The hotel itself is beautiful – set in lovely gardens with great pools and easy access to the beach. The kids were in their element, and there was always something for them to do.
The staff were brilliant – friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that everyone was having a good stay. The food was fantastic too, with loads of choice and consistently great quality. We all looked forward to mealtimes!
All in all, we couldn’t fault it. A fantastic mix of comfort, great service, and a relaxed family atmosphere. We left feeling really well looked after and will be booking to return next year!
We have just returned from a fabulous week here, which was our first visit to Cyprus.
The hotel is lovely, well maintained and very clean throughout.
The food was excellent, we upgraded our all inclusive package and used the restaurants on site as well as the buffet.
There are lots of sunbeds so we didn’t have to get up really early to secure a sunbed which made a welcome change.
All the staff were really friendly and helpful.
Couldn’t fault a thing! In fact we have decided to book again for next year as we enjoyed it so much!
Thank you for a lovely relaxing stay
We recently stayed at Cavo Maris Hotel and, while it has great potential, our experience fell short. Several members of our group became unwell during the stay, and after visiting the local medical centre, we were told it could be related to food or bacteria around the hotel. Unfortunately, staff were not very helpful or supportive when we sought assistance.
The pool area was also disappointing, with one side becoming muddy due to the nearby grass and guests not rinsing before entering. The buffet selection was quite small and didn’t seem adequate for the number of guests.
On a positive note, the rooms were modern, comfortable, and cleaned to a high standard. With better food hygiene, more attentive service, and improvements to the facilities, this hotel could truly live up to its potential. Sadly, this trip just didn’t meet expectations.
Beautiful hotel, very clean, lovely staff. Breakfast was a big choice and everything very tasty. We have enjoyed our stay there. Definitely recommended.
I liked the location of the hotel, its proximity to the sea, and especially the room with a sea view. Delicious food with a variety of seafood and desserts that weren't too sweet. Pleasantly maintained grounds and a playground.
We had another great holiday at Cavo Maris Beach Hotel. The staff here make our holiday. We ate it in all the restaurants. We had excellent service as always.
The New Medusa bar is a great addition. No more long queues at the Serena Bar. The staff at the Medusa Bar are a credit to the hotel. Max, Petra and all the staff, were friendly and worked hard.
Christina in the restaurant for breakfast and lunch was to attentive and hard working.
Dennis who we have met on previous visits worked so hard in the Coral Bar. He was fantastic with guests. He made our stay.
Giannis in The Kafenion Bar was a pleasure to be served by. Worked hard serving all the guests.
This Hotel and its staff are a credit. We will be back for sure. Please don't hesitate to book Cavo Maris. You won't regret it. Excellent as always.
This is simply the best hotel ever from the management team, George Nicolette and the girls on the reception desk right through to the hardworking restaurant and pool staff not forgetting the really helpful and smiling concierge we love it here thank you once again for a great holiday see you next year
This hotel was great friendly staff great food plenty of room around the pool very relaxing place hotel was very clean and the room we had had everything you need would recommend this hotel
Amazing place. Great weather. Good cuisine. Comfortable, modern room with fantastic sea view. Friendly crew. What else?
Another fantastic visit to Cavo Maris Beach Hotel! Friendly and professional service from the moment we arrived. From check in to check out everything went so smoothly. All the staff were exceptional. Food in the speciality restaurants was first class and we were made to feel really special as always. Special praise must go to the Housekeeping and cleaning staff, the Hotel was spotless! Finally the refurbishment of the pool area is a great success. We will definitely be back next year!
Fantastic hotel had a wonderful week with friends restaurants are great on site staff amazing we will certainly be back in next couple of years. It is kid friendly which we didn’t realise not that it was a problem but just check where you are walking so you don’t trip over the little lightning fast whipper snappers.
We stayed at the Cavo Maris as a family after reading the great reviews and seeing the luxury features promoted on their website and their social channels.
Overall our stay there was lovely, but I had high expectations and I felt it fell short on a few. The hotel itself is good, but definitely not luxury. Small details like missing letters from signage, a gym that only opened from 8am with some equipment not working and basic room cleaning are small things that can be easily improved.
We took the premium all inclusive package which took the hassle out of dining, as every night we could eat at one of the a la carte restaurants which were amazing. Our favourite was the Greek Taverna. Access to food and drink throughout the day was good and the team were amazing. In particular, I'd like to shout out to
Nefeli - She makes amazing drinks and iced coffees!

The hotel is located very close to a beach with watersports. It's not near the main town, so it's quite quiet (which is what we wanted) but taxis are easily available if you want some night life or taking an excursion. the hotel is spacious and modern and our room was pleasant. There are not many lifts for the guest so you either wait a while or use the stairs. Reception are extremely welcoming and helpful and cleaning team always have a smile and a hello for you.
The buffet dining at the hotel was okay with lots of options available. You have to go for breakfast early otherwise it can be a challenge to get a table. My main critique is that there needs to be done for those who don't eat meat or plant based which is not as uncommon as it used to be. The meat dishes are not labelled which meat it is, and as a non pork eater, I had to constantly ask what was in the moussaka or meatballs for example. Most of the time I just skipped the meat dishes instead. Plant based milk was not easy provided alongside the full fat and skimmed so I had to get the attention of staff every morning and wait for them to bring me some for my tea which took time as it understandably busy.
The pool area could be a challenge. Sun loungers are reserved with hotel towels by as early as 1am and then sometimes they are not used for most of the day. There is also very little visible security. Non residents can easily access the pool from the beach, making the pool area overcrowded and also raises concerns about security. This could be managed better if guests had visible wrist bands rather than having to quote their room number and sign a receipt EVERY time they ordered anything.
The kids club is definitely not for up to 12 years old as advertised but aimed to much younger children. This was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, so was a big disappointment. Looking at the programme and viewing it, it was not appropriate so we didn't use it.
The entertainment is subjective. The music acts were talented but it was the same acts repeated every week singing lounge style covers. I wish there had been some more engaging acts with variety.
Overall, it was a lovely hotel and we had a great holiday packed with wonderful memories. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Protaras.
Two adults + 1 kid (10), 6 nights, All Inclusive (not Premium all inclusive)
Checkin - arrived around 6pm, checkin was fast, they upgraded us from an inland view room to a side sea view room, was great. However, the upgraded room had twin (separate) beds and not a queen as reserved, so was not as comfortable
Room - room was good, a bit on the small side, plenty of storage room, bathroom OK, although the handheld shower kept disconnecting
Room cleanliness - room was cleaned every day. However, one day the forgot to refill the soap dispensers (so we had no soap), one day they did not provide toilet paper.
Food - in general ok. Good selection at the buffet restaurant, however, I found that most of the meat served were hard to chew.
Pool - pool is really good although water very cold even if outside was around 30 degrees. One other thing is that around 3pm there is no more sun over the pool as the sun hides behind the hotel building, a bit of a shame to miss 3 more hours of sun, Was great if they built the pool closer to the ocean, or maybe even another pool as that are had sun until sun down.
Pool bar - great service, however it’s not logical to have a cocktail menu with over 15 types of cocktails and only allow 4 for the all inclusive guests ! Also the pool bar only serves cocktails, so if you want a beer for example you have to step out of the pool and go the adjacent Medusa bar
Argo Burger - we enjoyed going there when we missed lunch / dinner. The hamburger is great !, the pizza is terrible, something wrong with the cheese they use it was like plastic
Spa - wife had 5 treatments (one every day). She said was ok, not amazing. One day she reserved a foot massage and got a head massage instead ?!
Beach - clean but very rocky, bring water sandals
One day our kid wanted to play table tennis. We were asked to deposit 5 Euro for the bats and ball - ok, no problem. By the table tennis there is also the mini golf. We wanted to play but they told us we can’t because it only for PREMIUM All Inclusive guests ?!
All in all, we did have a good time, but its worth noting that their all inclusive is semi-all inclusive
