Pros:

Met a lovely man on front desk,young,so friendly and welcoming to the kids, excellent. Sorry not to catch his name! Great family pool,lovely room,friendly staff,good fresh food in the bar with varied options,nice wine choices,overall good vibe. Kids loved kids' club,again friendly staff!

Cons:

I happened to go to Shoda,the market cafe to be told on two separate occasions they couldn't do food as the kitchen was closed. That's fine given that I was there on the first occasion at 3.30 and second at 11.50 but surely you should be able to get chips/goujons/sausages for kids? It's only a small thing but when you've hungry kids it was just inconvenient! Went up to the village and got food about 3mins walk away in the end!

Pros:

Brilliant hotel in a very convenient location. The staff were all very pleasant.
Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, a short walk to cafes, restaurants, shops and Maynooth castle which offer free entrance. bit of a heatwave in Ireland when we stayed so the room was really warm but there were fans in the rooms which was a nice touch as we don't usually get this weather here
Hotel was clean and well kept, would definitely return.

Cons:

Ottimo soggiorno a Maynooth
Pros:

Il soggiorno al Glenroyal Hotel è stato nel complesso molto piacevole: da segnalare la gentilezza dello staff, l'ottima colazione e soprattutto l'accesso a palestra, piscina, sauna e idromassaggio.

Cons:

Purtroppo la stanza era calda (è anche vero che ho soggiornato qui durante giornate di "heatwave"); consiglio di aggiungere il frigobar.

Cons:

It was hot weather however there was no air conditioning in the room even though it states there should be. Our room was above the heating system gor the swimming pool so it was very noisy with the window open

Pros:

Central and the leisure centre was nice

Cons:

There was no aircon in the room and when we asked for a change they didnt facilitate. We had a terrible sleep and room was uncomfortable. We asked for a 2nd fan and we got that but it didnt really help.

Accoglienza speciale
Pros:

La struttura è nuova e ben tenuta, molto pulita e arredata in maniera elegante. Il personale è gentilissimo, menzione speciale per Fernanda che ci ha accolti con entusiasmo e un gran sorriso facendoci sentire a nostro agio. La piscina e la spa sono un bel plus.

Cons:

Solo la vista dalla camera purtroppo non era bella, solo un muro.

Nice stay
Pros:

Staff were lovely,
Beds very comfy. Air con in the room which was a must in this heat.
Breakfast selection was great.

Cons:

Service for dinner in the bar was poor, one of our party had finished their main course before everyone had received their meal.
Swimming pool needs a revamp, definitely outdated.

Flying visit to Glenroyal Hotel
Pros:

Well located hotel only a few minutes walk to train station. Warm welcome at the reception from Ana who was so helpful and accomodating on our arrival. Our room was clean and comfortable, with tea , coffee making facilities, Slept well.
Nice enclosed outdoor courtyard off the main corridor on ground floor.
Great leisure centre ,steam room, sauna, jacuzzi with option of separate area with adult only pool and family pool.

Cons:

Key swipe to the room was a bit glitchy - had to go back to reception after arriving back as door wouldnt open was told by night staff , to lift the handle up and down a few times as this happens time to time , and it did indeed open after a few up and down movements of the handle. The hot water tap for tea making at the breakfast bar was broken , however staff were very helpful to get hot water from the main kitchen when asked

Pros:

Staff very friendly, hotel was clean. Breakfasts were lovely. lots of choice. Location was perfect. 2 mins walk to the train station. Across the road from a playground a park. Right next to SuperValu and pharmacy. 2 mins walk to local pubs and restaurants. lots of choice .
Great to have 2 large pools.
Rooms were big and beds comfortable. Towels were lovely and fluffy. Lots of sockets in room Double sockets at either side of bed also with usb c & a.

The had a games room for children and it was fabulous for 10 year old, he had a ball.
There was also a huge playroom which had a kids club too. This hotel is extremely child friendly. welcome ice-cream voucher for child on arrival was a lovely touch.
Free on-site parking is a bonus and plenty of space.
We had no dietary requirements but for people with coeliac issues, There is an excellent gluten free section for breakfast completely separate from other gluten. Separate toaster and cereals all clearly labelled. Lots of choices for milk.

Cons:

No air-conditioning in room we had.
The menu in the restaurant was the same every night and the same menu in the bar. Pity the menu was so small and quite expensive. The menu was too fancy for us. we ate their the first night and went locally every other day. Local restaurants are beautiful too.
