I liked the room I was upgraded to after initially being put into a pokey room. Perhaps because I was a woman travelling alone. The management dealt with the issue when I raised the issue. The initial room was not the 4 star quality that I had paid for. A female travelling alone should be treated as any other traveller when paying a high rate for a room. I left the hotel feeling the management had dealt with my issue very effectively. The room I spent my last two nights in was excellent, as was the breakfast.

Cons:

Initially not being given a quality of room for the price I paid until I complained about how small the room I had been given was. The management dealt with the issue very effectively. When paying a high price for a room, despite single occupancy, I should have been given the better room from the start.

Pros:

Food at restaurant was excellent and staff were very friendly. The gym was also excellent.

Cons:

Housekeeping very poor. Only cleaned room at 5pm each day which was very inconvenient. Asked multiple times for earlier service but request not met. Reception staff not friendly at all. Bathroom needs maintenance and would have appreciated housekeeping to actually clean the bath everyday. Bed sheets not changed for the week and bed not properly made.

Very disappointed with overall experience as we were excited to stay.
Pros:

Parents had stayed before

Cons:

Parents room was way too small, our family room wasn’t clean, the bed wasn’t dressed properly ( there was no sheet under the pillows, all tucked into the bottom of the bed) bathroom and rubbish from previous guest. Reception was painfully slow.

Pros:

Location of the breakfast room was very dark, there are beautiful rooms in the hotel with natural lighting but the breakfast was served in a pub environment.

Cons:

The ingredients tasted cheep and there was a bog standard selection.

Handy location and as cost go, it was very reasonable.

Couldn’t use the pool when classes were on, check in 4pm but no where to sit to get a drink/food while waiting. Breakfast this morning did not taste good,
