Occidental Menorca

Very good the only thing I wasn't happy about was the balcony which was facing another balcony and no sun whatsoever

My wife and I spent 10 days at the Occidental Menorca and thoroughly enjoyed it. We did have a couple of reservations in that I seemed more suited to people with young families. My wife and I are both elderly. However we thought the staff were excellent. The food was Very good with plenty of variety. Only slight complaint was it never seemed very hot. The complex was spotlessy clean, especially the man who looked after the pools and the grounds. Although we would not return there , it was not through any faults with the hotel, it was just that we would prefer somewhere a little quieter . All the staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, especially the staff in the dining room 🙂🙂🙂 lovely

AMAZING! We came on a girls trip, and there is not one bad thing to say AT ALL. From arriving to friendly staff, to the activities in the day, and evening, to the amazing food every mealtime. The snack bars, drinks. Rooms being immaculate. EVERYTHING. I am already looking to book here again this year but with my children this time!

Great hotel, all staff members from check in to check out were helpful, friendly & efficient
Our room was big enough fir 2 with a small balcony & a nice shower room, had a free safe, fridge & British tv channels
The food was excellent plenty of choice & all fresh
A great selection of drinks in the dining room & available around the pool,
Great main pool area, with 2 pools & a toddler splash pool, then separately there is another pool & a big kids pool area
Ideally situated for the beach & also opposite the bus stop to get into Mahon
Would recommend this hotel & would return!

Lovely hotel and staff. Food good in restaurant. Nice vibe but! It's geared up for All Inclusive leaving Half Board Guests to subsidise those on AI. Two G&T in a plastic cup 17.5 euro? Larios Gin and a 2.80e for the pump top up lemonade or tonic? C'mon disgraceful. 3e for small beer. Best value was Baileys and Brandy 8.80 euros for two good measures. Continuely had to go to Reception as no tea coffee and or milk left in room. Even no towels on one occasion. Swarms of flies around pool bar the type you see in African states that perch anywhere on or about you. Even in the dining room. Nice firm comfy bed and pillows. Wardrobe hangers are wider than wardrobe space so your clothes jam against the doors if at right angles to sliding doors. Filthy disgusting never cleaned residue under toilet roll holder flap. Even had towel with holes in it on one day.

We had a fantastic time at the Occidental Menorca thanks to the incredible staff.
The animation team is truly outstanding. A special shout-out to Letizia for her energy and enthusiasm! The mini-disco was the highlight of the evening for the Kids. The whole team deserves compliments for the professional amazing shows, especially Giada, Moana, Fabiana, Pipe, and Cappuccino. Thanks for making our holiday so much fun.
The service at the bars and restaurant was equally excellent. Eugenio behind the bar, always serving drinks with a friendly smile. And the restaurant service from Juan, Antonio, and Jesus was attentive, and genuinely welcoming.
Highly recommended for a great family holiday!

On the whole very good, could be better if the got shut of the noisy entertainment that nobody was interested in.

On arrival to this hotel the reception staff were welcoming and after checking in I got my room key. Room was on ground floor in block 5. The bed was very comfortable - no issues with the room.
Lots of sunbeds around the pool - I was at the quieter pool - the entertainment team hold aqua aerobics in the other pool.
Food was excellent (especially the thin pancakes ) which I had every day and having an outside area to sit and have meals was really lovely. The bar also provides meals as well as beverages.
The hotel is just a short walk from the shops and restaurants. There are markets too on certain days with a good variety of items.
The beach is really lovely. I got the Ting Ting train (7 euro) return - it was a nice way to see a bit more of menorca. All in all this hotel is a great place to stay - I definitely would return.

I recently stayed at the Occidental Hotel, and it was hands down one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Above of all my expectations

We stayed her half board plus. The plus is all drinks in the restaurant are on tap and this is great. The animation team are excellent and a great variety of activities available. The show they put on themselves is by far the best we have seen at any hotel we have stayed at. The food was always hot and the theme each night meant always something different to eat.

The hotel did not refund the deposit for the safe. The key was returned when checking out and we were told the refund would be made to the card. We have tried to contact but had no response.

Everything else about our stay was very good.

We stayed at the Occidental Menorca hotel for one week, and during our stay we got robbed of a pair of brand new sneakers in the pool area. They were left unattended for just 30 minutes while the staff was doing the clean up. This place does not feel safe and the staff clearly didn’t care to help. It’s better to be safe than sorry — book your holidays in a different hotel.

The rest of the experience at the hotel was good, but it’s inexcusable to feel unsafe and robbed while you’re trying to relax.

Great place! Beautiful pools, very good kid’s pool spot! Amazing crew, animation all day and night! Is very close to a beautiful beach too!

This place needs money spending on it in many areas. The ground, cleaning and waitress staff are always friendly. The bar staff not so! The entertainment team are second to none. The smoke in the communal areas is like being in a 80s nightclub truly shocking.

We have been to this location 3 times now and have never been disappointed. As a family with two young children this resort is perfect. Everything you need on site with a park and beach just mins walk away. Safe, clean, friendly and plenty to do.

Arrived early morning, room wasn’t ready until 3 o’clock so spent the day just sitting around waiting which was a waste of our first day. The food in the restaurant was really disappointing to start with, the meat and fish was a very poor quality, fatty, stringing and cheap, however this did improve throughout our stay. Bedding wasn’t changed. We had to ask for clean sheets and apparently we weren’t the only ones to complain of this. The communal areas outside aren’t cleaned very often especially around the children’s waterpark area. There were consistently cups and dirty plates from the day before that were never ever picked up. They were there for days on end. The drinks behind the bar even if you’re all inclusive the premium branded drinks displayed are not included and the cocktails were terrible. On the whole this wasn’t what we were expecting for a four star hotel and we were generally a bit disappointed and we wouldn’t recommend to anyone or go back.

Beautiful hotel with beach nearby and very good food, but Giada, the head entertainer at the Occidental Menorca, is an absolute superstar! She brings incredible energy and passion to her work, making every guest feel welcome and included. Her lively spirit and infectious smile create a fantastic atmosphere around the hotel, and she has a knack for organizing fun and engaging activities for all ages. Giada's professionalism and genuine kindness truly make her stand out, and she is a huge reason why our stay was so memorable. She is a real asset to the hotel!
