I would stay again once the renovations are complete.
Pros:

It is close to where I wanted to be. It was a comfortable room and staff were helpful and friendly.

Construction impacting air quality could have been better managed.
Pros:

The staff were lovely and the location was great.

Cons:

Unfortunately the renovations in progress were beyond noise and slight inconvenience. There were poorly boarded openings to the outdoors and the construction smell and dust in the air impacted my stay. A large cart filled with discarded debris was left open in the hallway all weekend. I feel they should/could have closed off a floor at a time to best manage and contain the impact of construction on those staying at the hotel or reduced the rates with honest details. I was only notified of possible construction noise ‘after’ it was too late to cancel my reservation.
The reception did reduce our stay by one night which was appreciated but a better approach to the upgrades would have made it better.
Additionally, the bed mattresses and pillows were extremely soft making for an uncomfortable sleep.

Pros:

Die Lage ist wirklich sehr vorteilhaft. Ein paar Schritte und man ist am Inner Harbour, der Fußgängerzone und Chinatown. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber.

Stay out til renovations are done.
Pros:

Third time here in about as many years because it has always been fair value. Booked in January, but no information was ever shared about the extensive renovations the hotel is undertaking either on the website or any of the email confirmations. Work with hammer drills and screwguns begins at 7:10 am and continues sometimes until midnight. The breakfast buffet is shut down for an indefinite duration, and travellers receive a $25 gift card to an expensive neighbouring hotel which costs $80+ for two. The gift card would pay for a fruit salad, toast and coffee. Water shutdown the first night we were here did not impact of much except for the noise throughout the night. Staff remarkably unconcerned, did not recognize the the extensive nature of the noise. Our room was updated and quite serviceable, and cleaning staff attentive, but I suppose they have fewer rooms to take care of now so they can afford to be. just irritated by the lack of care shown for our needs by not informing us of the renovations at any time, and demonstrating unconcern when we arrived.
