Rooms were a little dated
Location was outstanding and the first floor spaces were very nice
We were given 2 king bed rooms on the first floor street level. They were very very dark and extremely small even by New Orleans standards.
I loved everything about the property. Location, decor, staff, amenities, cleanliness, staff etc was exceptional
There was nothing that we didn’t like.
The property is beautiful and in the perfect New Orleans location - just outside of the French Quarter but so easily walkable to the convention center or FQ if needed. The front desk staff person who checked us in - Brian - was wonderful. He was bright and friendly.
The Eliza Jane was originally a Hyatt property when I booked our stay using Hyatt points. I'm a New Orleans native and was heading to town for a family wedding. A month before our stay we were told the property was switching from Hyatt to Marriott. I tried several times to contact hotel booking after the Marriott transition to see what my options were. There was no response. From anyone. Our reservation ended up being cancelled. When I called Mariott corporate, I was offered a $425 room rate. It was a mess. Ultimately we booked via Booking.com for a decent rate because there was very little available in the city for the weekend we were visiting. Ultimately Brian at the front desk - and the hotel facilities themselves- helped redeem this property for us. We ended up having a good experience and will return on our next trip.
Beautiful architecture and location
A mouse was running around at the bar which was absolutely disgusting to see, particularly while eating. Also there was no hot water and we had to take a cold shower. After speaking with the front desk multiple times the issue was never resolved.
The ambiance amd the beds were superb!
Rooms need more light.
Concierge was extremely knowledgeable, complimentary breakfast was great, the bed was super comfortable and the location ideal.
King room was smaller than I thought. Would have been a great value for money if the room was larger and a checkout without surcharge would have been allowed.
Hotel was great.
Being charged multiple times and going in circles with the front desk/management.
It took two messages (one sent upong booking) and two face to face requests AND a 90 minute wait after rechecking in at 3 pm to finally get a room with a walk in shower. We gave up when we walked into the room adn realized it did not have a window!!! How can we pay $400 for a room each night and the room not have a window?!!!
no light in the room...
Orridne at the front desk was amazing and so helpful
lobby area
no hot water
no water pressure
dirty carpet
poor lighting
Upon arrival the toilet to our room wouldn’t flush, the water in the bathroom faucet came out brown and black stuff came out. Got switched rooms and then our AC was broke in the room the room got to 82 degrees and didn’t get it fixed until 11 pm the same day of arrival. The next day the ac broke again
Old property with a high dollar price just to feel uncomfortable a majority of our stay
This is one of our go-to hotels when in NOLA. The interior is really cool, with exposed brick throughout. We've always stayed in a suite and it is very large...big sitting room, nice sized bedroom and large bath. The bar is nice also and the staff is very friendly. the location is grateful. Quick walk to Canal, Bourbon and the Warehouse District.
