Wyjątkowo piękny hotel, blisko najważniejszych zabytków. Przemiła obsługa, pyszne śniadania, codziennie uzupełniana woda i sprzątany pokój. pozwolono nam przechować bagaże na kilka godzin w dniu wylotu.

I would say maybe the elevators
I cannot believe this was actually my experience trying to book a hotel, I had to write it down.
Booking.com had a room listed, but I'm not a fan of booking sites so I went to the hotel to book directly. Their online system was down due to an ownership change, with a note to call the hotel to book. I called and was transferred to the reservations department, who took my information and told me I'd receive a call back in the next 24 hours. I did not receive a call back, so I called again and re-started the process. Again, no call back, tried again the next day.
After the third time, I explained the situation to the front desk and was told they would give my information directly to the reservations department. They finally called me back in the middle of a dinner with some friends from out-of-town, so I ran outside and took the call anyway as someone was finally calling me back! I was given rates, told the bed and breakfast package listed on their website was not valid for those dates (nothing on the website indicated that was the case), and was asked to provide my E-mail address for the rates.
I never received the E-mail, so I called back the next day and asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for 10-15 minutes, after which I finally was transferred to the HR manager, who was just as confused as I was that they were the one I was transferred to. I was then transferred to the general manager, who told me they were very busy and going through an ownership change, but that he was going to walk my information to his front of house manager and have her call me back immediately - the same person I spoke with the day before.
The FOH manager called me back over an hour later, insisted that she had left me a second voicemail the night before, did not acknowledge the missing E-mail at all, was asking me for screenshots of the booking.com rate that had since lapsed as it was now a week since my initial search, and was increasingly rude to me as the conversation went on - cutting me off mid-sentence, complaining that she was busy, asking again for screenshots from booking.com, all while she was logging into booking.com on their end and pulling up the rates anyway.
By the time she found the correct rates, I was done. The rate she initially quoted was $300 more expensive for my stay than the rate she finally found. I found another hotel down the street in the time I was on hold during the last call and booked it before I hung up with her.
This is by far the worst booking experience I've ever had with any hotel. I was extremely patient, but I wasted a week trying to book a hotel that doesn't seem all that interested in being booked. It's a shame, it looks great in the pictures.
Nice hotel in great location. Felt safe as a solo traveler. Comfortable fairly quiet room, very little street noise or from adjacent rooms. Lobby bar was comfy and had great selection. Restaurant was tasty with an unexpected menu. Staff was super friendly and went above and beyond.
Location was amazing and it definitely had a nice New Orleans feel. A very unique place to stays
They did not have the room we booked and paid for… they gave us a room that only had 1 bed and we had booked a room with 2 beds. The outside courtyard had some kind of water leak and it was raining in the courtyard so that was strange.
I was really disappointed with my stay at The Eliza Jane. I don’t usually book hotels at this price point, but this was a special splurge for my 40th birthday. I will say upfront that the property itself is beautiful—the design is stunning, the rooms are well appointed, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
That said, the overall experience did not live up to the luxury standard the hotel advertises. While each issue on its own might have been forgivable, the accumulation of problems over a three-night stay made it frustrating—especially for what was meant to be a special occasion.
During the first two days, the hotel was testing the fire alarm system. While I understand that maintenance is necessary, this was not communicated in advance. On the second day, the plumbing was shut off; again, I understand that issues arise, but this was only communicated shortly before the water was turned off.
Check-in was also frustrating. I waited over 20 minutes in line—twice. I arrived early but declined the $75 early check-in fee and returned later, only to encounter the same long wait.
My room’s windows faced an interior hallway, meaning people were constantly walking directly past. The gym was not air-conditioned, and housekeeping never serviced my room during my three-night stay.
At checkout, when asked about my stay, I mentioned these concerns. The front desk agent offered to refund the resort fee, which I appreciated. However, when I returned home, I saw that the fee had still been charged. When I called to follow up, I was told nothing could be done.
The hotel’s design and location are excellent. Unfortunately, the service experience fell short of expectations for a property in this price range. If you’re looking for a true luxury-level stay with seamless service, you may want to consider other options.
Amazing location, well maintained and equipped bedrooms. Staff were generally very helpful
Breakfast option is a little different $32 allowances just about covered juice coffee and cheaper plates. Of the three days two or the three avocado toast had no basil pesto as promised
Staff seemed understaffed and service was slow even when quiet
The hotel was very clean and welcoming. We went for a magic show and stayed the night. The bar was busy but the bartenders were friendly and quick. There were lots of nice spaces to sit and visit. The room was clean and spacious.
Mardi Gras! Everyone should experience it once. Great thing about the Eliza Jane it is close enough to the party but far enough to get some peace. Walk ability scale was very high for me. Mature but friendly scene. Warehouse still rooms with high ceilings and exposed brick. Not a chain experience, a boutique experience. Martin from NYC.
I really wanted to like my stay at Eliza Jane Hotel, but unfortunately it turned out to be a disappointing experience.
I came here with friends on a working vacation. Our plan was to work in the mornings and enjoy the city in the afternoons and evenings. I’ll give two stars for the good location and the friendly staff — both were positives. Everything else, however, fell short.
On the first night, I decided to grab dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. While waiting for my food, I saw a couple of mice running around. I noticed both the bartender and the waiter, but they seemed completely unbothered. That was incredibly off-putting and honestly ruined any desire I had to dine there again.
The rooms were another major disappointment. They felt like dungeons — no windows and very poorly lit, making the space feel dark and claustrophobic. Not ideal at all, especially for a working trip where a comfortable environment matters.
The WiFi did not work for the first two days of our stay, which made getting work done extremely frustrating. On our second day, the hotel also had alarm system maintenance, and the fire alarms were going off every 30 minutes. It was impossible to concentrate, and we ended up having to pay for nearby shared workspaces just to get our work done — an unexpected additional expense.
To make matters worse, our rooms were located directly above the bar. The noise carried late into the night, and even with earplugs, we could still hear it. Since we needed to be up early to work, the lack of quiet made the stay even more exhausting.
Overall, while the location and staff were good, the cleanliness concerns, noise issues, unreliable WiFi, and constant alarms made this stay not worth it. I truly wanted to enjoy this hotel, but I would not choose to stay here again.
Location
Wasn’t very clean and smelled inside the rooms
Hotel was BEAUTIFUL! Perfect location, friendly staff and very clean and comfortable.
Can’t think of anything.
Everything was great only thing I wish they had was a way to heat up any leftovers for guest that was my only Cavet everyone was nice and very professional
The quality of the hotel is not what I would expect from Hyatt. Hyatt's name should not be on that hotel. It is old, and in poor condition. There are cracked tiles, scuffed walls everywhere, scratches on the wood floors. Elevator was broken. Housekeeping staff chat loudly in the hallways at 8AM, and management was not helpful. The shower was so low-flow as to be almost unuseable, and management promised to send an engineer to look at it, but did not. This hotel harms the Hyatt brand.
Besides the price of valet parking, everything was great. We did have an issue with the AC not working at first, but they assured us they would take care of it—and they did.
There was a young lady at the front desk (I believe she may have been Asian, though I can’t recall her name) who made me feel so welcome. I genuinely felt like she cared about our experience. The other front desk staff did a great job as well.
Both bartenders were amazing, the cleaning staff kept everything in excellent condition, and the restaurant workers were very kind and professional.
Overall, it was a very good stay.
I have been staying at The Eliza Jane every time I come to New Orleans since 2018/2019 and even after moving to Utah, this is still the only place I book when I return home.
Eight years later, the service is just as exceptional as it was the very first time. That kind of consistency is rare.
The customer service here is truly impeccable. I could write pages about the countless times the staff has gone above and beyond for me over the years. They are consistently charismatic, empathetic, attentive, and genuinely caring. This is not just hospitality, it’s heart.
I want to personally thank Shanae, who wouldn’t let me touch a single one of my bags (and as a girl on a four-day trip… that says everything).
Jerna was welcoming, warm, enthusiastic, and endlessly accommodating throughout my entire stay.
And Jona, you can literally hear her smile through the phone. Every time I called the concierge (and yes, I’m a needy little woman 😅), she made me feel cared for from the very first “hello.”
This is not just a hotel. This is a family. Every employee I’ve encountered over the years has been nothing short of impeccable.
I couldn’t recommend The Eliza Jane enough. Eight years and running, and I am absolutely spoiled.
The level of service provided here is not easily replicated; and honestly, they’ve made it incredibly hard for me to stay anywhere else.
Amazing experience. Perfect location, staff and services. Absolutely excellent stay during busy Mardi Gras weekend
