Me and my wife have been to countless hotels in our life and we were extremely impressed!
Pros:

Let’s just say my wife tried to get me to take the bed and pillows home with us🤪, we love the fact that the Wyndham fairy opened up the bar at 5 o’clock in the afternoon, which was nice to sit and relax in after our day of travels, all the staff from the front door receptionist, to the cleaning and serving crew was exceptional.

Cons:

Unfortunately, ice machine was out of service, minor inconvenience overall, although front desk was very helpful with getting us ice. Just turning 71, as long as I wake up in the morning, my life is good and I understand things happen in life. no biggie 😜

Quiet with lots of amenities
Pros:

Stayed 3 nights with my 14 year old for a mom-daughter trip to Galena. This hotel is a great location just minutes from the main street area of Galena. There was just enough parking and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Grocery stores just 2 minutes away if you need anything - that was super convenient for snack runs! Pool was huge and very nice with big games to play on the pool deck. Housekeeping gets GOLD STARS for their efforts - our room was always clean and stocked with towels and amenities! Front desk staff was pleasant when they were present, but we had to wait/call for someone to check us in upon arrival and a couple other times to answer questions for us. They have a number you can call but no idea where they disappear to! The Day Spa staff were warm and welcoming, best facials we have ever had - so professional and relaxing! Breakfast was ok - we have some food allergies and would have appreciated some oat or almond milk for cereal and coffee, and perhaps some more fresh fruit/granola bar type grab and go options. Love the green space around the hotel; serene and quiet.

Not a good price for the experience.
Pros:

I like the pool that was clean and big. I also like the fitness area which was also clean. I like the outdoor patio.

Cons:

The room smelled damp and the carpet smelled dirty. The bed was not comfortable at all. It was lumpy.

Beautiful facility, wonderful staff, the pool and whirlpool were awesome. Great breakfast daily.
Pros:

Lots of breakfast food choices each day. The staff kept the food plentiful each day. Everything was neatly stored and easily assessable. All surfaces were clean, dish bins cleared quickly and promptly.

Cons:

My husband at checkout told the clerk our room had a slightly musty smell, perhaps due to a recent carpet shampooing. The clerk told us that several rooms had been done and the matter would be taken care of. He was very courteous during our whole stay. We plan to stay there again in the near future.
