poorly equipped rooms, nothing to put suitcases on, no closets, TV not fixed straight on the wall, no desk, no proper chair, really very poor
We checked into Hotel Ella for our December elopement. We immediately felt at home with how kind the staff is, amazing food, and easy atmosphere. It’s a gorgeous and lovely space perfect for a slow morning, evening out, or special ceremony. We can’t wait to join for many more celebrations to come!
This is my third stay--staff is delightful, bed very comfortable. Location if you're in the University area is awesome. Love the fun historic, old Austin, laid back and comfortable but still schmancy vibe. Restaurant is a win.

We were at a wedding with a newborn baby and Isaac B, saved the day, was the best, so kind, available and professional. Give him a raise!

Security is low as keypad entry was void from street into guest rooms! Housekeeping was subpar and never came to pickup food tray for three days; There was an unpleasant stench in hallways, and carpets a little gross.

Hotel Ella has the best vibes and staff. Everyone was super nice, helpful and the food was excellent as well as the bar service. Our room was super comfy and well appointed. Additional the location of the hotel is well situated for many of the downtown amenities.
Hotel Ella is delightful! The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Ms Porter (hotel manager?) was exceedingly gracious and the staff clearly follows her example. Every aspect of the grounds, the room, the quaint hotel bar, was clean & welcoming with little touches that made us feel like we were visiting a friend’s home. Parking was a breeze with helpful valet staff, and we were just minutes to all the sights on our Must See list. Adorable lovely place!
Staff were professionally warm and welcoming! Room was beautiful and exceptionally comfortable and clean. Location as perfect for nice walk to the State Capitol and museums. Will definitely be back!
We had a fantastic experience at Hotel Ella and the hospitality of Dani Porter and her professional staff were top notch. We stayed for several days and took the sites of downtown Austin. We asked for some local food and entertainment recommendations from Dani and she was spot on with some amazing local food establishments and great live entertainment. The hotel is perfectly located within walking distance to everything especially Texas University, the stadium and performing arts center. If you find yourself in Austin and need a place to stay you should reach out to Hotel Ella or stop in for a craft cocktail or snack.
It was a quick one night stay but room was so relaxing and clean and I appreciated the coffee in the lobby the next morning.

This is an amazing hotel and highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Austin. The staff is exceptional! There were issues with our reservations through a third party website and Raven and Caroline took care of everything for us.
