Super disappointed with our stay. The front desk clerk seemed bothered to help us. Our TV and toilet did not work. We notified the desk in the morning and wanted three hours for a working toilet and nothing. My wife accidently used the key for another room and it worked- this is an extreme safety concern. One redemption is the location- it was perfect and in walking distance to most everything.
Avoid this hotel at all cost - don't walk, run! The room was disgusting dirty with paper thin walls. No television for our entire stay - front desk only blamed Hilton. Even the towels had a yellow tint. Just a disgusting room with disgusting service.
Spark is a new hotel brand for Hilton - absolutely bottom of the basement room.
We were two couples traveling to see the wonderful Christmas lights. Both couples are Gold members. Absolutely no early checkin ( which I know is not always possible, but was disappointing. ). The checkin employee never said welcome or smiled, seems she doesn't like her job. The bathroom had no shower curtain, no washcloths, and two bath towels (most hotels give 3 for 2 people staying). When I asked if it is a new thing to not have a shower curtain I was told no and given a shower curtain to assemble myself. I kindly asked the maid if she could do it for us. NO maid service. When we returned back to our room after being gone all day, I was shocked to see no new towels or the bed made. I asked front desk and they don't do maid service daily. As a GOLD member I have never had a Hilton hotel not make my bed daily.
The rooms are HEAVILY worn. My bathroom door was missing part of the wood veneer. When I called Hilton they gave me a minimal compensation, which I am not satisfied with. Thinking about changing my loyalty to a hotel that is loyal to me.
Pretty basic hotel about 1/3 mile from the historic district. Everything in the room worked okay, but nothing special. Staff were friendly. No restaurant on site. Complimentary breakfast was cold food only - no eggs or waffles. Very skimpy toilet paper. No coffee maker in room. Parking is ridiculously expensive, but there were plenty of spaces.
The hotel is very nice however the check in was a problem because I booked and prepaid thru a third party. I was advised I would have to contact 3rd party for proof of payment but after a few more minutes she did her magic to get reservation handled. Thongs were good till we returned Sat evening and were locked out of our room. It was late and we were tired and the gentleman was less than friendly and did not offer any apologizes for the incontinence. I was not pleased. The breakfast was less than expected. The milk was hot along with the orange juice. The fruit was not ripe. Not pleasant experience unfortunately.
Very Good
Breakfast needs more variety, including hot meals.
This was a nice place to stay with a decent price.
Spent a couple of nights here more or less on a lark when a friend and I decided to visit St. Augustine. It was a last minute addition to our travel plans and a weekend, and we didn’t have many choices for lodging without spending more than we wanted to. But we knew we wanted to be in the historic district where we could easily park the car and do most of the visit walking or on the city’s trolley. It isn’t a large, historic, or fancy hotel, but it is clean, comfortable, quiet, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Beds were very comfortable. Basic breakfast included in the rate. Nothing on line that I saw mentioned it, but parking was a $25/night surcharge, which we weren’t expecting, but given the relative difficulty of FINDING parking in the historic district, it was nice to park the car when we arrived in town and not have to worry about moving it or find parking again until we left town a couple days later. All in all a very pleasant stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
The lady at the desk was so friendly and caring!! The hotel was clean and quiet. Our room was ready earlier than expected. Some of the reviews made me nervous but I now have a place I know I can stay when I go back.
Very good location
The location is perfect, so easy to walk to the historic district and attractions
Check in was fine. Parking available but with a fee. Elevator jerks and needs some repainting. Confortable bed, good AC. Breakfast is very limited. Coffee is soso.
Location is great and close to historical area.
Excellent property and staff
The hotel was clean And the staff was friendly. The room was just very humid, it is July in Florida so makes sense but the floor - even the carpet always felt wet. We kept our shoes on at all time’s other than to sleep. The coffee bar was a nice touch and tasted great!
We did an over night with 3 kids in one room with 2 double beds. It was a great location for us. It was a super close walk to the everything but kind of off to the side which worked great for us. The morning was great for the kids with the free breakfast. Super simple and not very busy as my kids can be really loud and are up and down. It was fresh and a great stop off for the night.
This hotel is walkable to historic Saint Augustine. Very expensive for the condition of the room that we received. Instead of door handles to the outside semi balcony, ours was stuffed with washcloths. Was not worth the price, but the location is extremely convenient.
Good location and price, but the overall stay left a lot to be desired. Initially entering my room it seemed clean but when I pulled the table out I discovered it was filthy underneath, the tap water to include the shower smelled burnt, as if the boiler was going out. The elevator was clunky and slow to open sometimes, and there is only one washer and dryer so you are better off going to a laundromat if you need laundry. But the staff was nice, and you really can’t beat the location except for directly on the beach (it’s across the street from Ripleys and a short walk from the old town).
I liked the helpfulness of the staff. The location is excellent. We got great value for the money we would return
The location of the property was excellent! I was charged a deposit at check, which I wasn't expecting, but it was refunded quickly. I would definitely recommend them and will be back.
