Muy viejo todo
Me and my wife stayed at this resort for her birthday. April 4th - 10th. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. 4 star of lies more like.
The food is not really that great at all. After a while, we ended up eating out in the evening quite often yet our package included dinner at the hotel. Speaking of dinner, every time we wanted a drink with our dinner, we were told we would have to pay for drinks at the bar. I have never heard of this in my life that you stay at a 4 star hotel that includes dinner in your package, you have to pay for drinks with your dinner. These people are thieves!!!
The hotel room bedsheets were dirty. Bathroom was a disgrace. The shower head was corroded with limescale. So only a trickle of water came through the showerhead When you complain to reception, they act like whats the big deal and I was told why did I not report this straight away. The guy on reception was an idiot to tell me that. Clearly a useless fool working in customer service. He shouldnt be working there at all!!
Another time, I ordered a banana smoothie to go with my breakfast. In the end I finished my breakfast. I was still waiting a good while. I decided to go to the bar which is where they make the drinks. The guy at the bar tells me they ran out of bananas. His whole manner in how he explained that to me was so rude. Absolutely unprofressional. You dont keep the customer waiting and do not inform them with what is going on. I didnt have a problem with the fact that they ran out, thats fine, but dont walk in and out of the breakfast area and chat and laugh with colleagues and not let the customer know they have run out of stock and to ask if I would like something else. This hotel is a disgrace to the hospitality sector and quite frankly needs to be inspected and reviewed. It is not a place fit for purpose.
Do not book at this hotel resort. Avoid it.
First time at this hotel and while the Hotel's amenities were fine the attitude of the bar staff left a lot to be desired. When ordering food,on Wednesday evening 29/04, we cancelled our order and went to an external restaurant due to the rude bar staff.
This is our 3rd time in Marrakech and second time at hotel staff amazing from reception to the girls who clean our room and we also booked great trips at hotel our room was lovely and big and comfortable would definitely come back but on last night the boys who were working in the bar were not professional we went in to have something to eat and went up to put order in their attitude was very rude then they spoke to each other in their own language and were abrupt we said to cancel our order and we would go somewhere else this is the first time we were treated like this it didn't feel right but I wouldn't let it put us off coming back also hotel great location
My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here for 4 nights , the breakfast and evening meal was great value or the money we paid , best to sit outside though , the inside dinning area needs updating a little . Strongly advise the freshly made to order omelette.
On arrival our first room was below standard but after a phone call to Easyjet and talks with reception we were upgrading to a beautiful room with a pool view which was 4 stars worthy.
The pool and area is the jewel in the crown to this hotel , the staff at the bar and Asif the pool attendant cant do enough for you , nothing is too much and they make you feel very welcome.
Shame there is no alcohol served in the hotel but there is a bar across the road .
Le personnel
Manque d’équipement dans les chambres
La chaleur et la disponibilité du personnel, la position, la convivialité du lieu.
Le nombre très réduit des chaînes tv.
Good location close to restaurants and bars )off the Medina
Unfriendly staff
Terrible food
Restaurant with bad smell
Stayed for 3 nights arriving on Eid. Check in was busy, but they got through the queue as quickly as possible. The reception area is beautiful. Once we paid the tourist tax, the security took our bags and showed us to our room.
Our room was large, with 2 beds, tv (which we never turned on) wardrobe and dresser. Plus quite honestly the best mini fridge I’ve had in a room ever. Large bathroom, with toiletries. We had a balcony overlooking the patio area. Room was tired, but clean. We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered quickly. Beds were firm. In reception and in the lifts they have a qr code which opens a what’s app chat, and you can request anything you need for your room.
We had breakfast included, which was a bit chaotic, often no plates or cutlery, and the coffee machine was often being fixed, but I never went hungry, the omelettes were good, and the pastries. Was nice to see the tortoise as well!
Outside, the pool guy was always busy and would sort you mattresses and towels. One day he could see I was chilly and brought me a roasting hot one from the dryer!
We had lunch on our last day, sitting in the patio, which was nice, we had chicken burger and pizza, both were tasty.
Right next door was a conscience store where you could get water, juice etc, and a short walk away was a shopping centre with a supermarket, and Starbucks.
Great hotel with a good location, would stay again
Just back from a 3 night stay here with my wife and enjoyed ourselves at the Diwane.
The hotel is lovely but rooms a bit dated but clean and thats the main thing but the beds for me were a bit hard and after 3 nights ive came home with a sore neck.
Breakfast wasnt to my choice but the hotel is in a busy area so theres plenty places outside to pick from.
The staff were friendly and always happy to help, especially round the poolside and the pool was nice and deep for a good swim.
The hotel bar only sells alcohol free drinks but thats not a problem if you do want a proper alcoholic refreshment as there are 3 or 4 bars within a 5 minute walk from the hotel ( highly recommend O Frenchys bar and restaurant) .
Id would stay here again.
Breakfast
Spent four nights here with my close friend and, we have to say, we really enjoyed ourselves.
The staff were polite, professional and always willing to assist with any enquiry we had. Especially the poolside staff. Nothing was too much trouble for the man who looked after the area. He was friendly, smiley and, a little bit of a flirt! Which was just harmless fun, even when I had an ooops moment due to my menopausal brain!
We had one of the Standard rooms. The beds were comfy and supportive, good for my back. The standard of cleanliness was very high. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss but overall we got what we wanted to set us up for the day, so it was all good in the end. Besides, when we relaxed at the pool the bar there had a good range of snacks at budget friendly prices. The only downside is that guests are allowed to smoke, yuk!
So, in a nutshell, it's a great place to stay without breaking the bank and, its location means everything is pretty close to hand for going out and about sightseeing.
We came here on a very cheap package with easyJet and were slightly apprehensive having read some of the reviews. The hotel far exceeded our expectations - yes it is a bit faded but very pretty still with lovely ceramic tiling and a gorgeous atrium with a huge chandelier. Our room was fairly basic but spotlessly clean and perfectly comfortable and very spacious with an equally spacious bathroom. It overlooked the street but wasn’t that noisy - and for us much preferable to overlooking the pool with the constant loop of disco music. The room was cleaned daily and bed linen and towels changed during our short stay. In the evenings traditional musicians play in the dining room which is lovely, but you can eat much better in ‘town’. All the staff were really kind, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok but the juices heavily sweetened. Omelettes made to order are very good. We enjoyed sharing the breakfast room with the resident tortoise munching away on a lettuce leaf! Location is a fair walk from the centre (20-30 minutes, very straightforward route) but we were prepared for that having stayed in the area before, and like to walk. Loads of taxis if you don’t! Overall we really liked the hotel, excellent value.
