Our 3rd stay, everything was as good as previously.

Excellent customer service, food was ok, rooms are big and air-conditioning is good. Unfortunately its very loud until late if you have Young kids and very chavvy as well. You cant get a sunbed unless your down very early and sit with the beds. Very average.

Fantastic hotel, super clean everywhere, and very friendly staff! Great location and restaurant had a good choice of buffet foods with vegetarian options. Would thoroughly recommend and will return soon .

Hotel has a good location

Day 5 and writing whist in hotel. Read some reviews whist waiting to check in 5 days ago and was surprised. We have found the hotel in a good location to walk anywhere. Room is spacious enough and spotless. We had a room with a balcony that did look over the service road, however not a problem for us as we were out exploring most days.
Stayed for bed and breakfast and again food was exactly what was expected in a hotel. Enough choice to accommodate most tastes. Food was fresh and well presented. Staff were always kind and polite.
Negative points- what is wrong with people! This is human behaviour not the hotels fault! Hogging sun longers from the moment the sun came up with adding towels. Then going off for hours and not removing their towels. Weird and selfish behaviour in my opinion/ hotel need to get tougher and if you are missing for 30 mins- remove towels!
Went to rooftop pool one day and loads of space and very nice adult quiet area with 2 pools. However met a women there that was only bed and breakfast that was getting fully inclusive guests to get her and husbands drinks! If you can’t afford to buy your own drinks! Don’t go bed and breakfast, your selfish behaviour only sets to add to holiday costs. When informed bar person was told they have to witness this behaviour themselves 🤔 how can you do that if the women is getting other people to get drinks on their fully inclusive package and hiding when they do this. Needs better management.

We went to GF Fanabe as our first family holiday abroad with our small children ( 4 & 1) I was little worried reading the reviews before going, but i shouldn't of worried, we had a fab time, the staff where super friendly, from the restaurant staff to the children's entertainers they were all great and amazing with our children. The rooms where spacious and clean, with beds made daily and fresh bathroom towels provided. We were on the 4th floor (top floor, facing the main road) and didn't get any noise disturbance at all from the entertainment or road. The air con in the room, wasn't very good, so the room was very warm, but manageable. The hotel itself was very clean, including the outside areas. Pool towels were provided daily, with exchange at the end of your pool stay for the next day. The children's pool water was cold, but fine once in the pool and used to the temperature. No problem at all with getting a sunbed, always plenty. We were fully inclusive and found the food, drinks and snack bars lovely, even with 2 small children, every day we all ate well. The cocktails were very nice also. The general area around the hotel was very nice and a 10-minute walk to the local beach and supermarket across the road for any items you may need upon arrival and very reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend and would be happy to return.

Rooms

Room was clean and spacious, beds were comfortable and the room didn’t get too stuffy or hot. Hotel room comes with a mini fridge, hairdryer and safe. We also requested a specific room and they accommodated us brilliantly. Cleaning staff were also lovely and even if we weren’t wanting our room cleaned a specific day they always offered us fresh towels in the passing

Food

There was always something for everyone and I didn’t find it as repetitive as other hotels. They do theme nights such as Chinese and Mexican. We were all inclusive and never had any issues. Breakfast was great with things like different types of sausages,eggs, bacon, hash browns etc. along with pancakes, churros and you can also choose to get fresh omelettes made. The snack bar by the pool did fresh hotdogs, burgers etc too.

Bar/drinks

Bar staff were lovely, seen a few reviews complaining about the wait for drinks, however we never waited anymore than 5 minutes for our drinks. They have a decent range of drinks on all inclusive, from cocktails,spirits, wines etc. Another great thing about the drinks is that they don’t give you rubbish little cups like a lot of hotels that do all inclusive. They are good quality cups for during the day (pool bar) and at night you get them in glasses at the bar at the front of the hotel (bar hall).

Entertainment

Entertainment did not disappoint. Most nights they always had something on. These weren’t rubbish shows. They had a variety of different things such as tribute acts (Michael Jackson and queen) everyone really enjoyed themselves during the entertainment and the atmosphere was great. During the day, the entertainment team always tried their best to engage with people and get people participating in activities. At the front of the hotel there was a live singer on every night as-well.

Pools

We used two of the pool areas. The main pool and the rooftop.the main pool was always clean and there was someone in the mornings that would remove towels that were left unattended. There was one person that was not happy with this however this meant that no one was having to get a up early to find a sun lounger. The rooftop area (adults only) was lovely, it’s a great place to relax and there was never an issue trying to get sunloungers up there. The only slight issue we had was that there was one group of young people that were in the pool for the entire day so me and my boyfriend weren’t able to use it. However this was thankfully on our last day so we didn’t have too much to worry about.

Overall this was an amazing hotel. The location is great as you are a 10 minute walk from the beach and there is also taxis right outside the hotel. There is also a mini mall right outside the hotel with a great supermarket which is really handy if you need anything. There is also a mini shop in the hotel as-well. The only annoying thing is that we weren’t able to keep our room open and our flight wasn’t until half 9 at night. However I have heard it’s rare for the hotel to be able to accommodate this. This wasn’t any fault on the hotel, it was simply because they were fully booked. We have booked again for next June and we are looking forward to staying here again.

Good location food as expected.

From the moment we walked into this hotel last Saturday the staff have been so polite and welcoming. Rooms cleaned daily and sheets and also towels cleaned. Usually when we go all inclusive, the food leaves alot to ge desired, but here it has been so good that we have no wish to eat out. Saving us on plenty of pounds. The roof top terrace is perfect if you want to relax in perfect harmony. The bar and restaurant staff provide table service for all your drinks and always with a smile. The entertainment is so good, and the children's entertainment is also right up there. This holiday has been worth every penny and more. We will most certainly be coming back. Well done GF Fanabe and keep up the great work.

I stayed here with friends early June 2026. Check in no problem and staff friendly. Rooms excellent with nice terrace. Good AC. Kitchen excellent for self catering. Layout is excellent like being inside a little village. Pool was heated, large and refreshing. Adult area with jaquzzi was excellent too. Breakfast area was suitable too.
There was a small football pitch for us young late 40 year olds to pratice the old skills.
Only downside was for the hotel bar you either used card or paid 40 euros for 10 tokens. A token wud get u a plastic glass of beer. The size cud vary. I had transfered a lot of money to euros so i didnt want to use card. I only used to bar on the 1st day with the 10 tokens. I probably wud have used the bar every day if i could pay cash so this was the only downside. As a result i never stayed for entertainment. So big tip - cash payment for beer would have been miles better.
Only other slight issue was wifi was very poor at times.
Cleaners were very nice and cheerful - deserved many tips.
All in all great hotel. Very pleasant place. Really enjoyed my stay and defo would be back.

Enjoyable all inclusive 10 night stay,our first time at this hotel.Great location,staff very friendly and helpful and service is excellent.Food was for the most part good and plenty of choice.Pool area is good and although sunbeds can get taken quickly we always managed to find a couple. Entertainment nightly was ok and plenty to do during the day if you so wish. Rooms were clean and tidy,maids in every day and communal areas were spotless.
Overall no complaints,enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay again

Wasn't impressed one bit. Hotel food etc just looked depressing from outside

Ididn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that. The staff were efficient and friendly. The roof terrace and bar was agreat location to spend a few hours in the afternoon.

Hotel and staff are nice, entertainment is terrible, worst acts I've seen, it's mostly songs from the 60s and 70s, they had a micheal jackson act, he just mimed and danced, didn't sing one song, bar is terrible at night as they won't let you order from the bar, you need to wait on the one waiter taking table orders, so can take a long time to get a drink, I think they do this to save them money, wouldn't return unless changes were made
