Hotel Baia Grande

Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable.
There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to city centre. The food is great there.
The only thing that I can comment on is that there is no tea nor coffee at the rooms although there is a kettle and there are no supermarkets near the hotel

Great stay close to beach.

Room was clean and comfortable although not much space when the extra bed is in the room, although this did not cause to much of a problem as we didn't spend time in the room.
Modern bathroom and food shower.
Stayed b&b and breakfast was ok. Milk was never cold for the cereal and the glasses for the fruit juice were always warm.
Pool was excellent and always plenty loungers.
Food at the pool bar wasn't great for what you paid for it. Hotel is very remote so if you like to have some restaurants and bars within walking distance then this hotel is not for you.
Easy taxi ride into old town.

We felt very safe at this property. The staff were wonderful. Coming from America, we were a little shocked at the lack of quality of the beds. But we understand this is not unusual in Europe.

Have stayed here several times and has always been great. Well located, great service, comfortable and clean rooms, great breakfast.

Very clean overall but no tea making facility in the room and no refrigerator. Breakfast was adequate but not spectacular by any means. Despite a large car park I had to park on rough terrain outside on a couple of occasions.
To be frank we were a bit disappointed because it was not the experience we had on a previous stay

The pool and all the amenities closed at 7 PM. Absolutely ridiculous

Very relaxing stay

For a four star hotel, They can improve on the provision of very basic in room services. Shocking room service- no iron board, no friedge, poor sanitary products.

Great hotel, great food especially at the pool bar , a bit out in the sticks so not walkable to places but taxis cheap and reliable, lovely helpful staff especially Fanando !
Would definitely stay here again

Property is beautiful however it's a little too far from the city

Hotel was nice and had a great pool. The staff was terrific! . The bathrooms were outdated and dark, and the beds were hard.
Yes the hotel is within walking distance to the beach, but fair warning it’s not close. Especially when you are walking back and it’s uphill and hot.

The cost doest not meet the quality.

Very nice & clean. Nothing to complain. But there is no multi plug facilities. So we need travel adapters for our charging facility. And restaurants & shopping centre little away from the hotel but Uber is not expensive. We loved the environment and the service as well as the food.

Would stay here again. Great facilities, staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and walking along the coastal path can take you to other beaches nearby. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but the pool cafe had a great range of classic dishes such as lasagne and bolognaise. The spa is lovely offering a range of different treatments. We had a great stay!

Overall the property was just what I was looking for and it was perfect. The service at the pool restaurant was unexplainable. Despite going everyday I could never get anyone to wait on me despite plenty of staff. They would bring menus and take other people’s order hole I was just sitting there. Then, I would go to the bar and order but they would never come by to see if I needed anything else. As I stated, the whole experience was unexplainable. Otherwise the property was great and Portugal was beautiful. My trip was prepaid and I was surprised to learn at check-in that a tourist tax had to be paid. I don’t remember this being explained when the reservation was made.

Very crowded at breakfast due to coach party’s

No Coffee tea making facilities. No pool service available and evening entertainment very dated .
I understand this could all change with an update next year .
