Great location but in need of a reno
Pros:

Excellent location within walking distance of restaurants and bars, without any noise on a night.
Staff willing to help as much a possible

Cons:

Not good value for the price compared to other hotels in similar locations. We requested a room change on arrival due to large holes in the carpet and damp damage in the bathroom. Staff were exceptional in a managing this given limited rooms. Second room was marginally better, but again, tired for the price. Both rooms were generally clean but had mouldy grout toothpaste/hair in bathrooms etc.
Parking was very poor - we didn’t manage to get a space any evening of a five day stay and had to park publicly. Staff gave us incorrect parking information and if we hadnt double checked we would have incurred a fine!

Pros:

Great location. Great having a kitchen and laundry, especially with kids. Lovely view from the balcony. Easy check in.

Cons:

Apartment could have been cleaner (i.e., mould in shower). More kitchenware and additions in kitchen would be nice (e.g. small salt and pepper). Pool not heated so too cool to swim.

Es stehen aus meiner Sicht zu wenige Parkplätze zur Verfügung, sodass es von der Auslastung abhängt, ob man einen Parkplatz bekommt. Das WLAN war leider relativ langsam.

staff are friendly and helpful
It was fine for our stay as we were there for work, I would look for something more upmarket, newer are better maintained if I were to holiday in Cairns.

Cons:

Rooms were not real clean, shower drain was partially blocked and easily overflowed.
Shower head has a hole in it and squirts water out when you take it off its holder.
Toilet roll holder was loose and falls off
The rooms are in need of an update, getting old and looking untidy
