We arrived early and the property manager let us check in early without any extra charge which was so nice. The decor and theme are really cool. The beautiful chandeliers and antique pieces were such a vibe. We were there for a concert and the shuttle pick up was walking distance so that was great. Plenty of restaurants and a fun bar right down the street. Surprisingly quiet in the room despite the hustle and bustle going on outside.
I have zero complaints. Only recommendation is to bring your own toiletries, which we forgot. While there are some provided they are very tiny tubes so between me and my husband we ran out after one shower. There is a 711 across the street so easy solve.
The interiors of the rooms. Very pretty.
Could hear people outside shouting from the rooms.
The rooms are big and spacious with good amenities and overall clean.
The chalet is located in the Colfax avenue which is crowded with homeless people and very loud and risky at night. I cut my hand with a piece of broken glass on the floor of the room while stretching. And when coming back to the chalet after my morning run a homeless was waiting in front of the door for me to do the code and manage to walk in. Minutes later at least 6 homeless in unusual state had entered and were blocking the exit. I got yelled at and spat on in the Airbnb. I am travelling alone and do not recommend this location to anyone who is travelling by themselves. Not safe.
The location was interesting. Free parking a block or so away which was no big deal.
I liked the no contact check-in as well. Codes sent to email for security.
I liked that it was affordable and had free street parking. I liked the historical charm of the building and room. I liked that they were responsive and allowed an early check in. The beds were comfy and the space was large. The maintenance man was friendly and took care of our needs.
There were a lot of transient people up and down the block most were friendly but it was hard to walk passed people asking for money or other things was nicer a few blocks east. We definitely ubered late that evening.
It was a unique experience, the property was very old but very well taken care of
It was fun staying in a time period of that nature.
It was located far from town and the homeless were all around. The streets were dirty and the whole neighborhood was worn out.
Love the Victorian style interior
We had to park two blocks away, there was hair in the drain of the shower, and the location is a little bit run down.
The suite and it's sunroom and kitchenette. Easy check in and check out also. Affordable, a whole suite for around the same as a king bed room at a corporate chain like holiday or days inn
Hair in the tub drain and a few urine spots on the toilet. Windows were mostly unworking or partially openable
The rooms are so neat, the entire place has a Victorian vibe all throughout. And with it being on a major street, the owner supplied us with eye masks and ear plugs. All toiletries were also provided. I would definitely stay there again.
I was on the third floor, there's no elevator. But it did me good to use the stairs. Parking is a challenge.
