Cons:

In the evenings there are many monkeys in the hotel area, so it’s impossible to leave anything on the terrace or balcony. Housekeeping was inconsistent – sometimes dirty towels were brought as clean ones, and the trash was not taken out.

Brilliant staff and spa but room needed a refurb.
Pros:

Loved being close to the monkey forest. Food and staff were excellent.

The hotel is very old and smells musty.
Pros:

The location is more or less good, close to the monkey forest, shops and temples. The pool is good too, they could improve the coffee.

Cons:

The smell of dampness is awesome, desperate, the bed had bedbugs, I was assigned room 303 and they were doing demolitions in the rooms on both sides, I booked 6 nights but I had to go two nights to another hotel to rest properly and the last night I booked a hotel in Kuta, I paid 6 nights and slept three nights in that hotel, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL, the place is already very old.

Cons:

Bad WiFi. Not taste coffee - need to go to coffee if you are a coffee lover. Only one or two options of fruits. In such a county there must be provided more options and also support the locals.
No option to rent a bike. No big trouble, but I need to go on the street to discuss the price and etc. as always in the street empty tank. First you need to go to the petrol station.

Pros:

Lovely hotel, great spa and good service. Bugs throughout room on 1st night. Told them in the morning and they changed room immediately. Centrally located on the main Street in Ubud. Massage with Wayan was relaxing.

Traditional style accommodation with a homely vibe
Pros:

Champlung Sari gave us a traditional property in a great location. It was the perfect place to start our holiday. There were two decent sized pools and the staff were very accommodating and always wanting to help out.
The breakfast was everything you could want and we regularly ate at the restaurant with Putu. The food was amazing, as were the beverages and really decent prices.
Maintainence was happening all over the resort to improve everything.

Cons:

Being traditional style, faculties were outdated. We didn’t mind as everything was kept clean enough. It just meant that things like shower heads or handles were a bit loose.

The monkeys were great to see and a real highlight but they also were a bit scary as they were everywhere. The staff were very accommodating to help us if we needed to get rid of them away from our rooms

Beautiful resort with authentic atmosphere
Pros:

Beautiful resort with authentic friendly atmosphere, next to Monkey Forest. In the afternoon the monkeys come to see who are visiting them 🐵. They are curious and friendly, especially when the visitors brought some fruit or peanuts.
The staff in the hotel is great, with super friendly Balinese manners and elegance. Thank you misses Putu, Fiska, Adit, Rahayu, Siska and everyone who cared for us during our stay.
