Pros:

The location was ideal for attending The Open at Royal Birkdale. The staff in the restaurant were helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking at the Hotel although no charging facilities.

Cons:

Our room was not very clean on arrival. During our stay the room was occasionally serviced. The dirty cups were not changed, the bed was not made although the towels were changed. When we mentioned this whilst checking out we were advised that it was because we hadn't requested a full service. This was never explained when we arrived.

When we checked in I paid for breakfast but the status of our room was not upgraded so each time we arrived at the restaurant we had an issue.

Great location, easy access to motorway and good value.
Pros:

Well appointed suite, great pool and jacuzzi, restaurant was ok - pizza late at night was a bonus. Quiet location, close to local amenities, Anfield and about 15 mins from city centre.

Cons:

Quite hot and the air con wasn’t the greatest.

I can't believe that this is a 4* hotel. The breakfast was terrible, dry, burnt and not much on offer. I asked for mayonnaise, never brought it out. Wasn't asked if breakfast was OK. The restaurant floor was pub floor sticky. The staff were rude or just not there.. When I went to go complain about the room, the woman behind the desk told me she was busy. When I checked out, gave them the key and was told ok bye then... Wasn't asked if everything was ok, wasn't asked anything.... Will never be back

90s hotel cosplaying as something contemporary!

I suppose the room size was ok

Cons:

Hotel was dated and tired. Absolutely not 4 star, more like 2. Location poor, very far from city centre. Air con didnt work, and the window wouldn't open. Staff rude and unhelpful.

A great hotel to stay in
Pros:

Everything was excellent from check in to leaving today.. great staff, lovely spacious and comfortable room, easy parking and great nights sleep.. easy to catch bus into liverpool...we stayed here last year so came back again and will return when we can
