The toilet seat broke twice. The shower was really hot trying to turn it down didn’t work. I had to wash my hair in the sink. It was all rusty along the shower marks on the wall and it’s not worth the money to be

Waited half an hour to get someone to answer the door or the phone.

Once I checked in I had to change room as j couldn’t breather with the heat in the room.

The second room had slotted blinds and a floodlight from the Carpark shining in through, next to the back door with people coming and going all night. Couldn’t wait to get out of there

The room was not the cleanest and had cobwebs on the walls
When you turned off the lights, the emergency light came on which lit the whole room green (photo was what we had all night!)
The bathroom light worked on a sensor so kept turning off when on the toilet or in the shower

Maintenance has really fallen badly here and I've stayed here quite a lot in the past. The bathroom door handle in my room was broken, and once I had to let myself in with a kitchen knife after both sides fell off. The kitchen extractor light bulb needed changing. Not a big deal but reflective of the place. The blinds were missing slats so the room was light early. The electrics kept going off and on because the key power holder was dodgy.
The room was down to a single hanger and two sets of all crockery etc. The kitchen table top was loose.
The smell of chip fat on the ground floor from the cafe is always an issue.

Bathroom door handle came off in my hand, bathroom light would not turn off, window coverings broken so whole of scunthorpe could watch me in bed

There was a electrical fault with the main lights BUT there was enough lamps to have a cosy evening.

The bed was rock solid and had a plastic sheet over the mattress, which caused a crinkle everything my fiance and I moved. The heating wouldn't turn down and the room was sweltering. Toilet seat falling off. Fire alarm in another room went off at 4 30 am and didnt stop for 20 minutes. I'd rename this "42 falling apart" as the wall was covered in dents, the table was broken and so was the toilet seat

Would have liked breakfast but it wasn't a problem with the local amenities.

It was cleaned comfortable and in the great location for what I wanted to do a lot of food options around it

Hand soap & shower gel empty. Bed a good size but you could feel all the springs & pillows were so flat they were useless. Bathroom door didn't close & the motion sensor light in there only stayed on for a few seconds. The windows were very high & difficult to reach but all 3 were open on arrival. Had great difficulty opening the room door both from the outside & inside the room. Plus the internal room door got stuck & we had great difficulty re-opening it to access the bathroom. The door to the hotel is locked at 9pm & you need a member of staff to let you in. Also felt like this place is used by the local council to house the homeless. Wasn't an awful stay but not worth what we paid.

I previously stayed at this hotel a few years ago shortly after it had been refurbished, but unfortunately it appears that very little has been maintained since then. The overall condition was poor, with dirty carpets, scuffed walls and broken blinds in the room.

I was given a ground floor room at the rear of the property which was easily overlooked from the car park. With cars coming and going throughout the night, the broken blinds offered little privacy, meaning I didn’t feel comfortable getting changed in the main part of the room.

The room was also located next to the back door, which was frequently used by guests going outside to smoke. Every time the door was opened, a bright security light came on which repeatedly disturbed the room during the night. There was also significant noise from other guests, including doors slamming and people shouting in the corridor late into the night.

Overall, the stay was disappointing due to the poor upkeep of the room and the level of noise disturbance. I would not choose to stay here again.

No window in the room, just a skylight. Terrible location.

Could also hear the tumble dryer right next door, until midnight and then again early in the morning at about 6am.

Room was filthy, bin overflowing, stains all over chairs, floor hadn’t been hoovered for what looked like a few days. Bathroom was also dirty, tap, trims, toilet, sink not clean. Bath coming away from the wall, never seen as much silicone trying to seal the gap before.
Heating was very high and could not control in room.
The hotel needs a full refurb from top to bottom
Bed and pillows worn and grubby, will not stay at this hotel again.
