Great location with very great employees and restaurant. The room, bed and shower were great. The facility is a little worn out, it’ll need an update for esthetics only. I would stay there again.
Lovely hotel , staff and property superb , poor nights sleep as the fire alarm went off at 02:45 am ! We was woken up startled in confusion whether or not to get dressed and run out . Alarm went off after about a minute and struggled to get back to sleep !
All good thank you
Sadly disappointed with the 214 pounds per room we paid
Not so clean rooms; hot water faulty; room condition not good for a luxury hotel.
In general poor, I have stayed at better for less money with more atmosphere & facilities.
Staff very friendly, courteous and helpful from the front desk, bar/restaurant to the service staff.
Excellent location directly opposite the RSC and close to the others plus Waterside, shops and Old Town.
The buildings are old and floors are a bit creaky, but the rooms were a good size, clean, very convenient and well-located just across the street from thr RSC Theater and an easy walk to all the Stratford-upon-Avon tourist sites and shopping. There's also a private parking lot. The breakfast is also very good. This is our 2nd time staying here for a visit to Shakespeare's Birthplace.
Wonderful location directly across the road from The Globe theatre. Dissapointed by the discretionary surcharge automatically applied on check out. This does seem to be becoming the norm in the UK.
The Arden held the charm of my 10-day trip. It is located across the street from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. I stayed in a Deluxe room with an incredible bathroom! It had a huge tub and dual rain-showers. It appeared newly renovated. Breakfast was both a la carte and buffet. Dinner was a nice atmosphere, inside and outside. I think the most delight was created by the staff, specifically the hotel manager Sai who was so kind and attentive.
Perfect ! Nice and comfortable and the food was lovely. We will be back next year !
Nice hotel offering good food and service, close to river and the Swan Theatre. Friendly, accommodating staff.
The hotel was lovely and located right by the theatre!! Wonderful food and accommodation!!
We have stayed many times over the years. The hotel is very central - a very short walk to the river, shops, and other sights in Stratford.
Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff friendly. Decor has been “touched up” after our last stay - but still some maintenance issues: a light not working in the bathroom and curtains coming off the rail.
The restaurant is excellent and offers a pre-theatre dinner to get to the performance on time. There is a secure car park at the back of the hotel.
Overall a pleasant, quiet, comfortable and convenient place to stay in the centre of Stratford.
It is a beautiful, historic building across the street from the Swan and Royal Shakespeare Theatres and next door to an historic pub. Everything is walkable in Stratford. We took a great walking tour from the beautiful park that included the church Shakespeare attended and is buried in. One note, there is no elevator in the hotel and our room was on the 3rd floor. They had very nice young people carry our bags up and down for us, but be aware! Very pleasant and accommodating staff, good food--we had breakfast there and also had a lunch there on the first day. Friendly people. Loved it and will definitely stay there again next time we're in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Surprising high class hotel compered with the reasonably priced stay.
The best was the room air conditioning, when it was 34°c outside.
Fantastic from start to finish.
very nice breakfast
The location is great and (directly opposite The Swan Theatre) and the aircon works brilliantly (a much needed bonus on a hot sunny day), but the hotel decor is tired and I declined to pay the suggested 60% (yes 60%) service charge because I waited soooo long for someone to appear at the bar. I would only repeat if visiting The Swan Theatre.
Good hotel, nice staff and great location. The rooms are comfortable but a little run down. Good bathroom and amenities. A good place to stay in Stratford.
Great hotel with parking. Rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, comfortable with nice extras of complimentary water and snacks. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is perfect for sightseeing
