This hotel won’t meet your expectations. Trust me.
Pros:

NOT AS ADVERTISED - STAY ELSEWHERE

We booked an upgraded room for a fireplace only to find when we arrived that the fireplaces aren’t insured so they aren’t allowed to be used.

After looking over the room we opted to leave immediately and get a refund. When I called TripAdvisor they said hotel staff said the manager I spoke to didn’t exist. Thankfully I had her business card so I got a refund after about a week.

Blessing in Disguise
Pros:

Started out our family trip booking at another hotel which did not accommodate our needs. Immediately called Sagebrush Comfort Inn and Charmaine Romero was a blessing in disguise. She saved us by securing 3 rooms for our family and alleviating all our worries for a successful trip.

Excellent Customer Service - Charlotte!!
Pros:

I had to cancel last minute. Charlotte at the front desk was very helpful and cancelled my reservation without any issues and charges. When I am back in the area I will only stay here.

My personal experience
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at the Sagebrush Inn in Taos, New Mexico. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and full of authentic Southwestern charm. One of the highlights of my experience was the restaurant in the evening — great food, a relaxed vibe, and excellent live music that really captures the spirit of Taos.
A special mention goes to Daniel, who works at night. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the evening feel special. His positive energy and professionalism added a lot to the overall experience.
Between the great music, enjoyable dining, and outstanding service, the Sagebrush Inn truly stands out. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Taos and would happily return.

Did t want to stay here for Christmas seem so depressing

If you are looking for an antique look and old building this is your hotel. Too old .

Cons:

Seemed to old and the room had a smell to it . Super dark room and depressing!

Affordable lodging near Taos Ski Valley (just a short drive) with a convenient on-site restaurant and Cantina with live
Pros:

Loved that it had an on-site restaurant and Cantina!
Love the spacing in the room for the two bedrooms and two baths. Great for two couples or two couples with a kid.
Loved the two big closets.
The main bed was super comfy (the mattress; don’t know about the one in the other room)
Loved the blackout curtains.
Loved all the little amenities- make up remover, lotion, Kleenex, etc..

Cons:

The shower curtains smelled horrible and sour in both bathrooms.
Hated that the sheets and bed covers were pulled down and tucked in so short that you couldn’t get them up around your whole body. (to the chest was about as far as they would come up.)
Taking a hot shower was hard because the water would jump from freezing cold back to scolding hot the whole time you took a shower and a few times we ran out of hot water.

It was ok clean rooms very spacious just very frustrating about how the staff treated me!

It was located in a great area surrounded with shops and restaurants

Cons:

We had reservations for a room with 5 adults and they didn’t give us enough linens and blankets so every day we had to ask for more!
Evening staff was amazing but the morning staff was extremely rude and not helpful at all!
They over charged me for the stay as nd it took a few days to fix it do we were basically stuck there no money and had to have my kids pay for everything until it was fixed!
I don’t think I will be returning even though is was in a amazing area

Pros:

Had a wonderful 14oz prime rib for $35 which is available as a special on Friday and Saturday nights. Cooked to perfection. All the sides were perfect too. Highly recommended. Everyone in the party was raving about the food. Chef Talon introduced himself. Very nice and passionate chef. Will be back!

No waiting checking in was easy

Cons:

We needed 4 keys and only 2 worked. You couldn't watch TV and use the microwave cause u would trip the breaker. The heater in the main bedroom did not work well.
