Noisy stay due to being under the stairs.
Pros:

Room was next to the pool and parking was plentiful.

Cons:

The room we were in was right by an exterior door, which I thought might be problematic, but it really wasn't a big deal. However, the room was also next to the stairs, and as it turns out, it was under the second landing/stairs. So, as a result, it was extremely noisy. Unfortunately, a large wedding party was active until the wee hours, so people kept going up and down the stairs until quite late (early?).

Moved us 3 times!! We wanted to relax and couldn't!! Terrible experience.
Pros:

Breakfast was good.

Cons:

1st room we got, broken shower head, squirted water all over the bathroom, myclothes and even the toilet paper. Moved us to a 2nd room and the toilet didn't work they moved us to a 3rd room and bathroom was dirty, there was even hair in the bathtub. 👎👎👎

Dirty room and bathroom, tv didn’t work properly, no phone in room to contact front desk, bugs and spiders in room, bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.
House keeping didn’t clean room or change linen and towels.
Restaurant-coffee cup was dirty, didn’t look like it had been washed, opening up the napkin with flatware…not sure what it was..lint or something that looked almost like muse feces was in napkin.

The staff was attentive and good natured. Public facilities were 8 out of 10. Room was sub-par.
Pros:

Public facilities, ie. the bar, dining room, breakfast area were nice, good spaces. The hot el is attractive from the street.

Cons:

Room 107 had a broken (electrical hanging) light. Missing drawer handles on furniture. Lamp shades that were dented and torn. A bathroom door that needed to be replaces. (the lamination on the hollow core door was separating.)

Not relaxing at all.
Pros:

The property was large and historic feeling, with a beautiful grassy area.

Cons:

Not only were the folks above our room LOUD all night, there was a terribly loud noise coming from the plumbing anytime someone in the building would flush the toilet. the ceiling creaked every time someone upstairs took a step, and it seemed like they wouldn’t stop walking all night and morning.

Additionally, the beds were super uncomfortable - like tons of pillow top on a poor mattress - it was like you sunk in, but in the worst way. For a king room, we were only given three standard size pillows, and all three were terrible.

Overall the room just felt SO dingy, the pictures on their site are so light and airy but the room itself felt damp and cramped and OLD. I love a historic property, but this one just doesn’t feel refreshed in the way that they advertise it.

Stagecoach will never see me again and the staff was not helpful.
Pros:

When I walk into the room I notice the refrigerator had a towel in the refrigerator and it was unplugged. I called front desk and he told to plug it back and it will get cold in one hour. I am diabetic and I need to keep my insulin cold. Refrigerator never works to get cold. When I checked out about the refrigerator she told me that will have someone check it out. She told that will give me a somewhat discount. I told my Booking.com who I made the reservation thru I was informed that the Stagecoach hotel would not refund me for the refrigerator not working and they didn’t want change my room or replace the refrigerator.
The Stagecoach hotel is not responding to my request and they said to Booking notified me no response and refund.

Cons:

I was disappointed with the front desk staff and since they never responded to broken refrigerators and they were refusing to give me refund for my insulin not being cold in the refrigerator that evening so I couldn’t use my insulin.

Great experience, beautiful property, shout out to Roberta Montoya at the Cantina and Daniel at the front desk.
Pros:

The Sagebrush Inn is a beautiful historic hotel on the Paseo Del Pueblo Sur. It is a large, property with a variety of different accommodations.
I stayed in the hotel and frequently at at the Cantina across the parking lot. The cantina had great breakfasts and I encountered a lovely woman named Roberta Montoya. She took very good care of myself and my friend in serving delicious breakfasts!
Also, had a very favorable interaction with a gentleman by the name of Daniel at the front desk. He was hospitable and helpful in establishing internet connection on my iPhone.
Many thanks to these great people that made my stay at the Sagebrush a great experience.

Badly in Need of Updating
Pros:

The Sagebrush Inn has potential to be a go-to place in Taos, but is sadly in dire need of updating. The guest rooms are dingy and need carpet replaced NOW. The bathroom fixtures are very out-of-date, and the sink and toilet are set way low. The toilet in my room was set on a raised tile platform with a sharp corner just begging to bang my to into. A major trip hazard! The grounds could be really beautiful but are badly neglected.

I skipped taking a shower and hardly slept

Location and outward appearance was good.

Cons:

No elevator
Deck on second floor soft and wood was beginning to rot. Floor in the room was slanted and hard to walk on. Centipede was in the tub and it looked like something was splattered on the bathroom wall. Bugs were in the corners of the room.

Pros:

I came to Taos on a volunteer trip. Great experience. Hotel staff was great. Will stay here again. Anastacia from the front day really made the trip worth our stay. She even gave us a ride to the volunteer site. Above and beyond for the experience.

Quality Customer Service makes all the difference
Pros:

I just checked in and am writing this. My family and I arrived at 11:30pm after driving for three and a half hours. Needless to say, we were tired when we arrived. I was so looking forward to going to bed, but the room had a surprise waiting. The toilet was half taken apart and was all over the floor, and there were tools and energy drinks on the counter…someone didn’t finish their work. Luckily, the guy at the front desk (Daniel) was able to turn what would have been a disaster into a much easier situation. My aunt and I are in rooms that are complete and have working bathrooms and now I get to go to sleep. Thanks Daniel!
