The locations was great. The environmental ethos of 1 hotels is great, and we appreciated that at the one in San Francisco.
The reception staff were incredibly unfriendly, as if we were bothering them to check-in and out. They shared no information about the hotel at check-in, and we only discovered there was a rooftop terrace at the end of our stay when we were walking around ourselves. When I kindly requested if my car could be ready at a specific time for departure, the lady told me to go outside and tell the valet guys. We had a double room, and it was tiny. I was traveling with my three kids, and we travel the world, so they are definitely experienced travelers. Without prompting them, they said ,”I thought this was supposed to be a nice hotel!” We also agreed that it was the worst food (breakfast) we ate in all of San Francisco. We ordered large matches and chais and they brought them to the table in paper cups because they said they don’t have large mugs. This is not the type of service you would expect from a nicer hotel. The location is great, but the service was bad and hotel is overpriced and has no amenities to justify staying there.

Shower was so poor no water pressure or power. Complained twice. Breakfast ordering was a car crash every time.

The best Bamford Spa will be back again. Got the Deep tissue so relaxed and the soak bath will leave you feeling like your on a cloud!!!

Gym is ridiculously poor. I didn't like it at all. No windows and extremely small. This is not what I expected from a 5 star hotel.
Breakfast was also extremely poor and quality below average
Lovely rooftop experience! Soaked in their tub for 50 mins. They provide tea, lemon water, and drink of choice (I got mimosa) with a couple small bites like nuts and dried fruit to snack on. Amal was quick, friendly, and attentive during the whole experience. Would go again!
the amenities at 1 hotel were lovely, especially their spa!! i had such a wonderful and thoughtful full body massage here, which blew all previous massages i have experienced out of the water. thank you to the wonderful staff here!!!
In my opinion “ 1 hotel” is the best in San Francisco, because it’s located on the first line of the coast and views from windows are breathtaking!
The atmosphere in hotel makes u feel like home, all workers are very friendly and helpful, whatever I ask -they give me answer. They found for me beauty salon for Russian manicure, even they gave me Hair tie on reception. So big thanks for: Christina, Antony, Dani, Jeremy. Also Jemar made me cool pics near entrance and Hoce showed me different rooms and helped with choice. That’s why to this hotel I want return again and again!
But the most amazing is that they give amazing bicycle to discover around, emotions that I felt during riding are one on the stronger that I could get traveling around all USA, so don’t miss this opportunity!

1 Hotel San Francisco has one of the best locations in the city if you like being near the waterfront. The views, the walkability, and the easy access to the Ferry Building and Embarcadero make it a great place to stay.
The design feels modern and calming, with a style that is upscale without feeling cold. It’s the kind of hotel that feels current and comfortable at the same time.
A few of us from The Green Cross always notice when a place manages to feel fresh while still fitting into the energy of San Francisco, and this one does that really well.
