Front desk employee Laurie went above and beyond helping us with an early checkin, as well as recommending an excellent restaurant for my families dinner. Her smile and attitude are wonderfully contagious. She’s a great asset to the hotel.
This is the first review that I have ever written. But, the experience that I had there, made it impossible for me to not want to share it! Let me start at the beginning. I was looking for a hotel for some friends and I to come to the Tampa area to celebrate my birthday. I emailed the hotel with questions about the area and things the hotel offered. The General Manager (Crystal Arthur) responded to my email quick and was so friendly. I just knew this was going to be a good experience when the GM responds with such care and thoughtfulness. I replied back that I was booking and looked forward to seeing the things she had suggested. Fast forward almost 2 months to the day that we actually checked in. When we walked in the lobby, I immediately noticed a flashing welcome board that said "Happy Birthday Summer". I was greeted by Laurie who immediately wished me a HBD while I had my friend take a pic of me by the sign. I was already floored by the recognition. When I was done with my pics by the sign and came to actually check in, Laurie handed me a bag that had been decorated with HBD on it with a snacks and a card in it. I went to my room feeling pretty special. That night we went out in Ybor and had the best time! The next morning, I wanted to have a hearty breakfast (needed after our late night of fun at the clubs) and went down to the lobby to ask where we should go. That's when I met Michael. He told me of a couple of places that were walking distance and then a couple that would require a vehicle. I didn't get a rental so those were out of the question, or so I thought! That's when I was told that the hotel has a shuttle that will take us to a couple of the restaurants Michael suggested for FREE! I was sold. I went back to my room to get ready and gather my friends and off we went. Miguel was our driver and along the drive, he told us the history of what felt like every building we passed. He pointed out places that we might want to see before we left and also places that we didn't need to waste our time on. We all agreed that it almost felt like we were on a paid tour and not a hotel shuttle. When we got out of the van, he gave me a business card with the number to call when we were ready to get picked up. After we ate, he came right back to pick us up and brought us back a different way so that he could show us new things and teach us more about the area.
Perhaps, this may not seem like a whole lot to some. But it meant so much to me for many reasons. My twin passed away 6 years ago and until this year, I had not been able to bring myself to celebrate my birthday without her. My friends were insistent that I do not let another year go without a celebration and that is how this trip to Tampa began. I tried to cancel the trip several times, but they wouldn't allow it. The morning of the trip, my Uber didn't show and I thought it was a sign that I shouldn't go. When the plane made it up to the clouds, I sobbed, missing my twin sister on what was OUR day my entire life. By the time I actually made it to the hotel, I honestly wanted to just go to the room and relax. But, it's like the entire day somehow turned around the moment I saw my name on that sign at the front desk. The sign had little emoji art around it and one of them was of my sisters favorite flower. It felt like it was a sign from her to enjoy my birthday and to celebrate it for the both of us. I walked out of this hotel feeling lighter and looking forward to planning my next birthday celebration and it's because of all of the little things the staff did that made a larger impact than they will ever know. I will return and will absolutely recommend to anyone I can to stay here if they have to come to Tampa. You just can't find businesses that are filled with people that care anymore like I did at this hotel. From the GM to the housekeepers, everyone was amazing. I can't wait to come back and visit again!!!
Staff was very friendly & accommodating. room was clean &comfortable.
Everything
Nothing
Breakfast was much better than most (I done hundreds and hundreds +). The hotel was very nice +. The low overall rating only due to hotel parking. After a long drive, the parking (not Hilton, but Hilton required, $30+) and required pmt via QR code. I'm to old to be bothered!! Had to provide all info. Then same at front desk (somewhat). 1st attempt to do QR did not work. Had front desk to do it. I was concerned I was paying twice. Wasn't. For me, a real/unnecessary fiasco. Hence. Nearly anything could not be good with hotel. Really, hotel better than most, value fair. Parking - some tight turns, some narrow spots, etc.
Only real negative was hotel parking/payment process. Would not return to this hotel due to parking and fee to park. There are other options.
This property and Staff are excellent

Clean place and friendly staff, very close to the restaurant and entertainment. We will definitely stay here again.
I left my shirt in the closet. I messaged and emailed the hotel a couple of days afterwards but they just don't bother replying.
Breakfast area.
AC did not work call the front desk twice. No one ever called back are showed up. Called back ask could we change rooms, she said maintenance coming to check it plus we have no more rooms.
The next morning told them how hot and uncomfortable it was. He goes to say why they just didn’t move you to another room. I said really she to me it was no more rooms.
So I will never stay here again.
Habitaciones cómodas, buena ubicación, con acceso al streetcar que permite visitar el centro de la ciudad.
Nada, todo muy bien
It has taken me some time to write this review, but it has no bearing on how fantastic my stay was here! Because of this particular stay at the end of April, I stayed at 2 other Hamptons during my road trip to Florida. Great location & atmosphere! Nothing can compare to the hospitality Ms. Janice provided me. Ms.Janice knew all the restaurants to go to, told my husband and me how to get on the free trolley, and did I tell you she was overly energetic at 11ish at night! We had a conversation about it being my birthday, and she immediately, even when not being in, wrote a note to her colleague Lori (another wonderful treat and vibrant spirit) to put out a card and the sign for my birthday, even though it was a few days after. This birthday had so many meanings, and Janice made it even more special. My brother, who passed, worked in hospitality, and he always said it’s about the service you provide to your guests that matters the most, even when they don’t expect it! Well done, Ms. Janice. If you are not a manager now, you certainly should be. An executive HR professional, their services and customer focus are what we all look for in employees who go above and beyond the call of duty!
The rooms were clean, and Ms. Janice made sure my snacks were given as a Hilton honor member! We will be back! Ms. Janice, you exemplify the art of hospitality and make me proud to be an honors member. It's an honor to be part of the Hilton membership you embody! Easy to say the value was well worth it!
Ps: She even told us other areas to visit in Florida! We went to the pier in St. Petersburg!
The staff was incredibly helpful and answered all the questions I had about the area.
Good area, nice room
35.00 dollar parking for one night crazy first Hamptons ever I had to pay for parking
