They were friendly! Upgraded us to a suite after we found blood and cigarette burn on the sheets
The first room we stay in had blood and cigarette burn on the sheets. We had some random people knocking on doors saying they were the police then they would run away right after they knocked.
Clean, good location
Nothing
The indoor/outdoor pool was cool
The lodge itself was cool with the sculptures and cabin like feel. But the rooms were dirty and outdated. There was hair and dirt around all edges and toilet in the bathroom. The shower had a crack and a hole in it. There was hair all over the sink in the bathroom. The carpet was old, dirty and pulling up in areas all over the hotel. The breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had and there was not much to choose from. We got there at 7:30 and the cold stuff was empty. The warm stuff was cold. There was cereal but no milk.
Upon arrival to my room 327, the fireplace did not work. When I used the restroom the light did not work for the exhaust fan also didn’t work. Then when I tried to turn the lights off for the night the can light in front of the kitchenette did not shut off with the use of the switch. I contacted the front desk and had to have them look. They could not figure out how to shut off the light, with their permission I removed the lightbulb so I could sleep. Upon my departure no one was at the front desk, I rang the bell multiple times and yelled to see if anyone was there. I then knocked on the door to the office and breakfast area from 6:20-6:35 am and never found an employee and the breakfast was not open. I gave up after multiple other guests dropped off their room keys and left. This is completely unacceptable for a $300.00 hotel room stay.
1st of all we came with 3 other couples because they have never been. We always stay here when we come to Quincy. We get there, and find out the hot tub wasn't working. Thats the reason we came. The pool was cold and dirty, and alot of water on the pool deck. 'It was like they had draining issues'. After us complaining, the new manager was nice to give us another room to share that had a jacuzzi hot tub, free of charge. When we went to see the room, it was not cleaned but John said it would be cleaned. The 'free' room then got put in my rooms name so then it made my regular room look like it was vacant, so at 11pm someone came into my room. Im glad it was a female as i was alone. So of course i didnt sleep at all. The manager was nice and only gave us a discount for the night. Came to find out, the free room was never cleaned, so the one couple who utilized it went and got their own blankets and cleaned it. It really wasn't a good stay, but the new manager was very sincere and is trying to get it under control. Come to find out, alot of their staff had quit or got let go recently. Again the manager did give us a lower rate and he was new so until the bugs are ironed out. We will give it another try
Breakfast was on par with other similar hotels. Sausage eggs and toast with coffee and juice is a good way to start the day!
THey could have a short order cook to make breakfast for guests - fried eggs, pancakes, omelets, etc. Not super fancy but basic
The decor, the room was nice.
The edges of the carpets had dust build up.
Convenient location.
Breakfast was gross. It seems they are not keeping up with maintenance.
Location
I checked in an walked into a room that had not been cleaned, there was an unmade bed, two trash cans full of trash, pee and hair all over the toilet and sink and tub, I went back to front desk and the poor girl working alone said all cleaning staff had left and there were no other rooms, so I asked for clean linens and cleaned it myself.
Automatic pancake machine was fun, our room was large enough for our party of five.
Pull out couch sheets were not clean and had crumbs in them.
