Initially our TV was not working and a maintenance man came up and was able to fix it. Well done.
Nice location.
Our dead bolt lock on our door was broken/jammed. The door for the refrigerator and microwave is broken and wouldn’t close.
Clean, friendly, a nice quiet boutique hotel.
Nice to have the microwave available in room. Beds are comfortable.
Location was great for the dance convention
Staff at the restaurant was very rude. We ran out of toilet paper on our last day and requested more but never received and had to get some from another friend at the hotel.
We stayed here for one night. The stay was fine overall, but it felt like some attention to detail was lacking. The hotel was quite busy, with what seemed to be a large group of high school students in town, so that may have been part of the problem. We checked in, and weren't given a platinum welcome gift/points. This isn't all that important, to me, but was perhaps an indication that the (very friendly) staff were busy. Then, even though our reservation clearly stated that we had 3 people and needed a king + sofa bed room, when we got to our assigned room, it had only the king. We called the desk and found out we'd been given an accessible room, so had to carry our luggage all the way back to the lobby, then get a new room assignment. This one was correct, and once we got to the correct room, it was comfortable enough, with a nice bathroom. The start of the stay felt a bit disconcerting, though.
The hotel location is nice, with restaurants as well as the Museum of Glass within walking distance. Parking is somewhat annoyingly located across the street, and even for self-parking cost $19 (valet was even more). There was some road noise audible in our room, which we were able to mute with a white noise app from my phone. Overall our stay here was fine, but we've stayed in hotels and even Courtyards that we liked better.
The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. In particular, a housekeeping staff member named Maria was especially kind; she stopped what she was doing to assist me with my inquiry. Also, it was nice that there was a small shop next to the front desk where you could buy snacks and drinks.
I understand that the Marriott chain’s support center is separate from Courtyard Tacoma Downtown itself, so I know it’s not this hotel’s fault, but the Marriott's support team just won’t respond. I tried to contact them via chat and email to inquire about early check-in, but they simply ignored me. In the end, a Booking.com support staff member called the hotel and got an answer for me, but if they hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have gotten an answer and would have remained anxious.
The environment was pleasant and clean.
The access to the property was a bit difficult to find, drove past the entrance a few times. And parking was a little odd but nice that it was off the street.
I stayed at the Tacoma Marriott for one night while renovations were being done at my house. It was a solo stay, and the experience was very pleasant.
The check-in process was smooth and easy, and the staff were welcoming and efficient. The hotel had a warm and clean atmosphere, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. exactly what I needed for a short overnight stay.
Very clean and a great staff !
We were able to walk to the dome & there were great food options nearby.
We had to pay for parking.
The location was central, to so many things.
The lotion in the bathroom was completely empty upside down when I arrived.
The pillows smelled like men's body odor, they were disgusting. To the point that I was sleeping without them, the smell was on the bed and woke me up.
The framing on the door that led to the refrigerator and microwave was coming off.
The closeness to the venue and comfortable mess of the beds
My conditioner and shampoo were empty
Quiet, good location
