Friendly staff, comfortable beds
Pillows. Definitely in need of new pillows
We loved everything from the Complimentary Breakfast to the pool and jacuzzi. The room was great everything was clean we had a great stay.
There was only one thing I didn't like i was charged an extra fee and to this day I still have no idea what the fee was for i was told what was charged to the card would go back on the card once everything totaled out but it did not.
Great stay! Staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Dining area was kept clean, can't complain about the food options selection either for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely come back to stay again.
Fantastic! Great free breakfasts and Wednesday dinner. Friendly staff!
Excellent hotel - close proximity to Farmingdale State College (about 15 min away). Nice but standard hotel breakfast an fantastic evening social on Wednesdays. They call it a “light” dinner but it was chicken sandwiches, chili with all the fixings, macaroni salad, and street corn dip with chips, and ice cream. All of the staff were super friendly from the front desk staff to housekeeping, to the people that kept the food from running out. There are laundry facilities to use - no coins necessary, just use Apple Pay on your phone. No complaints at all. Good value for the price. :)
Everything was clean and wonderful
I have been a Hilton Honors member for many years and every time we travel we stay exclusively at Hilton properties and most times we are very happy. Unfortunately, this time it was not the most pleasant day. On a positive note. The bed was excellent very comfortable, but unfortunately, the sheets were stainedand the pillowcases smelled like french fries. The shower had no hot water so I had to take a cold shower. The toilet kept running all night very loudly waking us up. when I brought this up to the front desk, the front deskclerk informed me that the rooms are only serviced every other day, even though I expressed an absolute need for the sheets and pillowcases to be changed in the room to be serviced. It was not done. I asked for some type of credit on my bill and she said she would see what she could, do so far nothing. I spoke to the front desk clerk Thursday, March 5 at 11:30 AM as we left to run errands . When we returned Thursday, March 5 at 3:50 PM the housekeeper was in the hall finishing the room next to ours when she was asked to do our room she said I have no time I leave at 4:30 so we had to sleep on stained sheets another night and pillowcases that smelled like french fries and a toilet bowl that ran constantly through the night very loudly
Amazing and accommodating staff. We stay here monthly and they never disappoint. They give us goodies on arrival and always willing to go above and beyond. The place is beautifully decorated and warm and Always clean and they even upgraded us as a perk! Highly recommend.
From the day we arrived, Mark, at the front desk, has been professional and pleasant. He is exceptionally nice and goes out of his way to help you.
Our room, a one bedroom king suite, was very nice. The daily breakfast and the Wednesday evening social were good with plenty of food and drink selections.
Overall, our trip was great!
perfect experience here, employees are good especially Mark, he is great.
Mark was exceptionally helpful
Shivone was amazing as well I’ll be coming back
This is my second stay at this location and let me tell you it is well worth it. The check in process is very easy especially with the lovely front desk staff. The hotel itself is emaculate and family oriented. I especially enjoy the fitness center with their updated equipment. The king suite is so spacious and well worth the reasonable price! I also love how quiet this location is and housekeeping is spot on👌.Mark Hue is the most pleasant and efficient supervisor I have ever met. He also remembered me from my last stay which was a wonderful surprise! Thank you Mark for making me feel at home at your establishment. This is a very welcoming and warm location. I will definitely recommend.
I highly recommend 1000/100 great services
Very untrustworthy and greedy establishment. They charged $300 in fees for nonexistent damages. Look somewhere else for your stay!
If zero stars were possible, that would be the appropriate rating.
We were wrongfully charged nearly $300 in “cleaning fees” for a room that was left in clean condition. The only thing left behind were a few paper rose petals on the floor — no damage, no stains, no excessive mess beyond what standard housekeeping manages daily.
In fact, we brought our own trash bags, consolidated all garbage, washed dishes, unloaded dishwasher, and ensured everything was left respectfully. We have worked in hospitality for years prior to becoming hardworking nurses and healthcare professionals — we know what a trashed room looks like, and this was nowhere close.
We even left a tip for housekeeping as a gesture of appreciation.
When we called to respectfully question the charge, instead of transparency or evidence, we were met with a series of serious and completely unfounded accusations seemingly used to justify the fee.
We were accused of:
• Burning the carpet with a wax candle
• Smoking in the room
• Generating noise complaints
There was not a single wax candle in the room. We intentionally spent over $100 on battery-operated candles specifically to avoid fire hazards or damage concerns. The allegation that we burned carpet with wax is entirely fabricated.
We were also accused of smoking. None of us smoke — several of us are asthmatic. There wasn’t even a lighter present. The idea that we smoked in the room without any odor, residue, or evidence is not only false, it’s offensive.
As for “noise complaints,” we never received a single phone call, knock, or visit from security during our stay. Hotels notify guests immediately if there is a disturbance. That never happened. If complaints truly existed, why were we never informed at the time?
We are healthcare professionals who took one evening to celebrate sisterhood and enjoy a simple self-care night. Instead, we were met afterward with baseless accusations and an excessive charge that feels far more like a money grab than legitimate policy enforcement.
False claims, lack of evidence, and surprise post-stay charges are unacceptable.
Proceed with caution. Take photos before checkout. Document everything.
We will absolutely be disputing this charge.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Island-Melville. Although the room itself was clean and physically nice, the service completely ruined our stay.
We were charged an excessive cleaning fee for a room that we absolutely did not dirty beyond normal use. When we asked for an explanation, we were told it was due to a “noise complaint” — something we were never informed about during our stay. We did not receive a single warning phone call, knock on the door, or any communication whatsoever. If there was truly an issue, why were we not notified at the time so it could be addressed?
On top of that, we were accused of burning the carpets with wax. There were no candles, no wax, and no open flames of any kind present in our room during our entire stay. This accusation is completely false and extremely concerning. It feels like a baseless claim used to justify an outrageous fee.
Being blindsided with charges and unsupported accusations after checkout is unacceptable. A hotel can have beautiful rooms, but if management handles situations this poorly and without transparency, it leaves a terrible impression. I would not stay here again based on how this was handled.
Breakfast was good!! Dining area was cold! Hotel was nice clean neat very family friendly! Will stay here again!!!
I did not get my bottle water at check-in! The guy mentioned it but then forgot to give to me!
Jessica and mark are Both gems had all the answers to my questions made you really feel like your part of the team will definitely come back just to pay them a visit
