Perfect for a stay right on the beach!
Pros:

Loved the location, rooftop and patio seating areas! Bed was comfortable and room pleasantly cozy, was clean and smelled good (nice, light floral scent).
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Appreciated the in-room refrigerator and guest accessible microwave and electric tea kettle.

Cons:

Took off one star for the towels which were small and thin. We were given extra when we asked so that was nice, but new bigger thick towels would be a wonderful and needed item.

Wil je luxe? Zoek verder. Wil je Venice? Boek dit! 😄
Pros:

Wil je luxe? Dan moet je hier niet voor gaan.

Maar wil je de echte Venice-sfeer, op een toplocatie, dan moet je zeker voor dit hotel kiezen.

Wij verbleven vorig jaar in de suite van dit hotel en dat beviel ons zo goed dat we dit jaar opnieuw voor dit hotel hebben gekozen. Dit keer hadden we een kamer op de eerste verdieping. We waren met z’n vieren: twee volwassenen en twee kinderen.

De kamer is klein en wat gedateerd en niet alles werkt meer helemaal naar behoren. Maar eerlijk gezegd: als je voor de locatie komt, neem je dat voor lief. Alles zit letterlijk om de hoek en is op loopafstand. Een goed ontbijt? Om de hoek. Een lekkere burger bij Fat Sal’s? Ook om de hoek!

Voor de kinderen én voor jezelf kun je gebruikmaken van het aanwezige strandspeelgoed, bodyboards en strandstoeltjes. Echt ideaal als je lekker naar het strand wilt.

De bedden zijn queensize en prima, de kussens zijn prima en de kamer is schoon — zolang je na een stranddag niet te veel zand meeneemt natuurlijk. 😉

Kortom: een aanrader als je vooral voor de locatie, sfeer en het echte Venice-gevoel gaat. Ben je een zeurpiet en verwacht je luxe en perfectie? Dan zou ik hier niet voor kiezen. Maar wil je wakker worden midden in de sfeer van Venice Beach en alles op loopafstand hebben? Dan zit je hier goed!

Cons:

Een klein minpuntje was helaas het parkeren. Er was geen parkeerplaats meer beschikbaar bij het hotel. Je moet dus geluk hebben dat je dit op tijd hebt gereserveerd.

Parkeren op Pacific Ave kan wel gratis, maar een plekje vinden is soms echt een uitdaging. Zeker op drukke dagen moet je hier wat geduld en geluk voor hebben.
