Really good stay
Pros:

Spacious room and bathroom, plenty of space in closets, nice lobby for business meeting, piano, the pool and gym. Great options for breakfast. It is not close to the centre, but public transport is conveniently close and worth using and Uber is excellent and very affordable. But we have actually chosen the location because it is close and walking distance to where we had business to do. We really loved the pool, even though it would be better if the saunas and whirlpool would also work. Though i understand it needs a regular maintenance. It was nice to have complimentary water, but it would be even better to have a kettle and some teas available.

Cons:

No windows to open, even though ventilatuon is ok to exchange air. But during the night we had to shut it of because of humming. I didn't like that the cleaners changed our towels even though we have left them on hangers as it was written to leave them in bathtub if we want them to be changed. It really isn't necesarry to change towels every day and use excess water and detergents. And even though i have done my bed, they have redone it, and tucked everything under mattress and rearranged my pijamas. I really think noone should touch my underwear and if the bed is covered, it is obviously the way person wants it. They also cleaned floor with something unidentified which left the floor a bit sticky even though it wasn't sticky when we arrived. This is why the rest of the week we have left 'do not disturb' sign on the door knob because it was more comfy for us that way. I dont like the glass wall between the room and bathroom because when one persons needs bathroom during the night, the other gets awaken because of light.

A good hotel sadly let down by a convenient but noisy location and very poor breakfast staff.
Pros:

The Reception Staff were wonderful. All of them were very helpful. In particular, André and his colleague Matilde were brilliant, while the older gentleman who checked us in (Hecham?) assisted us with a number of problems. Above all, André, especially, was sympathetic to the problems we encountered, reported things to his superiors and apologised for things which were neither his fault nor his responsibility. A little sympathy goes a long way. If it had not been for the Reception Staff, I would have rated this hotel even lower than the passable grade I have given it.

The room and bathroom were spacious. Both had adequate facilities. We were swiftly upgraded by Hecham to a double room, which we asked for, but the initial room we were given was a twin room (just the first problem of many).
The daily cleaning of the room was efficient and done at a convenient time to suit us. Housekeeping was fine and also helpful.

The location of the hotel was good, with nearby access to the Metro (Entre Campos on the Yellow Line).

However, nobody told us that the hotel is directly under the flight path to Lisbon Airport, so aeroplanes were passing low overhead every few minutes. The double-glazed windows of the room failed to eliminate all the sound.

Similarly, the sound from the building site right in front of the hotel was also not eliminated., and we were not warned about the building site across the road. The work commenced daily before 08:00 hours, so we were constantly woken up and eventually ensured we were awake and up before the drilling began. Even on a feriado (public holiday) the noise was not reduced by much, and not at the weekend either. We spent 5 nights at the hotel at the end of April 2026.
Prospective guests should note that this construction work is due to continue for two years (at least). At present the multiple buildings being constructed are barely above ground level.

Obviously the hotel can do nothing about these two issues, but guests should be warned.

Cons:

The breakfast provided a generally good selection but the 'hot' food was virtually cold.
The only poor selection was the fresh fruit (as opposed to tinned fruit/salad), which was mostly limited to apples (red, green & in-between). We had asked for bananas, but one or two only appeared when we directly approached a member of staff, proving that the hotel did, in fact, have bananas, contrary to what we were told previously.

On the third morning, with the 'hot' food still stone cold, we had to wait over 20 minutes for more integral sliced bread to be brought.
On the fourth morning one of the 'heated' tureens was slightly warm. The others were still cold. This was after I had complained more than once to the breakfast staff.
On our fifth and final morning, we were back to all four tureens being cold.

The cutlery was impractical; tiny forks were paired with huge knives and there were other problems with spoons.

The breakfast staff should take training sessions from the Reception Staff. Most of the breakfast staff were sullen and unhelpful. A large bearded individual (possibly called Jorge) was rude. They should not be engaging with members of the public, much less paying guests. Totally the wrong attitude and complete disinterest.

Having been informed that the hotel restaurant was open all day for meals, we went there for lunch one day, shortly after 14:00 hours, only to be told very rudely by a female assistant that the kitchen was out of operation and lunch was 'off'.

Overall, one would not expect such disinterest and negativity with a 4-star hotel. But both the problems and the negativity stemmed from the catering department and its staff. Other aspects of the hotel and its staff were fine.
While little can be done about the current noise, proper training of the breakfast staff is easily rectified.

Clean & comfortable; bring your own kettle for tea.
Pros:

Clean, accessible & friendly. Rooms were nicely decorated & beds comfortable.

Cons:

Revolving front door was “challenging”! Foyer lift call buttons didn’t always work easily - needed repeated pressing. Being a UK tea drinker the coffee machine was no use to me; thankfully I now travel with a mini kettle & tea bags.
