Ce n’est pas notre premier séjour. On aime toujours l’emplacement vue sur mer, le confort de la literie et la taille de la chambre. Le calme et le choix au petit déjeuner. Le piano en live.
Le souci du détail, la Direction m’a laissé une jolie surprise dans la chambre le jour de mon anniversaire! Merci!

Das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich und gut - für jeden Gusto war etwas dabei. Immer gute Salate, viel Fisch, Fleisch, Nudeln, Nachspeisen.
Wir hatten ein Zimmer ohne Balkon, was für Ende Februar ok war. Das Zimmer war rießengroß, das Bett sehr bequem.
Im Badezimmer hätte etwas mehr Ablagefläche sein können, als Frau hat man doch etwas mehr Utensilien mit :-)
Nachspeisen, die Stücke könnten etwas kleiner sein, die Torten waren immer nur im Stück zu haben. Man konnte sich nur selbst etwas herunter schneiden was mit der Zeit sehr unansehnlich war

The pool didn’t appear clean and limited options for bfast. The QR code site needs to be updated as when I called for room service the number was incorrect and the kitchen was closed. The information on the qr code site had incorrect times and information.

No nosso quarto, passava muita luz por baixo da porta! O que nos deixou desconfortável.

O que eu não gostei é da responsabilidade do Booking. Pedi um quarto com vista mar. Paguei um suplemento e o que me foi entregue foi um quarto de esquina num piso de R/c. Tinha vista de mar muito parcial. Faltou a vista deslumbrante. Depois o Booking perguntou se queria cama de casal ou duas camas. Pedi cama de casal. O hotel responde que está sujeita à disponibilidade do momento. Não tivemos a cama de casal porque o hotel estava cheio. Não fiquei convencido do argumento. Para mim é claro: se oferecem as opções, estas devem ser garantidas. Portanto, a avaliação está condicionada ao que o Booking colocou como opções. Consequência: não voltarei ao hotel (não posso dizer que seja por causa do hotel). E vou pensar duas vezes na próxima reserva se utilizo o Booking.

Die Lage vom Hotel mit direktem Zugang zum Strand ist wunderschön. Das Frühstück mit live Klaviermusik war sehr stimmungsvoll und geschmeckt hat es uns auch. Insgesamt hat es einen gemütlichen Flair, auch wenn die Einrichtung ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
Hellere Lampen im Zimmer wären fein, ist aber nur eine kleine Anregung.
I stayed for the MotoGP weekend in November. On arrival I was not told at check in that I needed a hanger for my car for the parking. I returned on 07/11/2025 to my car after an afternoon at the beach to a parking fine. I was told to email the reception team and they would get the fine void and removed. I did this and thought nothing of it. I then on 16/01/2026 received a €30 charge from the hire company on my card. I contacted the hotel to say I had received this charge and that the matter should have been resolved with the fine void. No response from the receptionist or manger of the hotel.
On 04/02/2026 I came home to a letter from Portimão traffic with a €60 fine for the same parking matter. It turns out the €30 from the hire car company was an admin fee for them sending the details to the traffic department and the fine is still outstanding. For 2 days now I have been calling, emailing and have also used the live chat to ask for the manager and no one is getting back to me.
Today (05.02.2026) the live chat told me AP hotel doesn’t have parking! Well why was I then given a hanger and continued to park there for the rest of my stay?
The staff at check in (the older gentleman who checked me in and then ‘handled’ the fine, was rude and clearly did nothing to void this fine.
The lift in the hotel is also really noisy with the hydraulic brakes that can be heard day and night from rooms.
I am still after contact to get this fine resolved.
Despite the great location of this hotel I would never stay in an AP hotel again due to this service, which is a shame as I visit Portimão every year.
