The breakfast and staff were very nice. This property is very dated with cracks in the walls and in need of a refresh. The beds especially need a refresh.
Had a 1 night stay over whilst travelling, food was good, bathroom huge. A simple room but more than adequate for what we needed.
Thank you.
Convenient for getting to the airport, but more like a motel than hotel.
Dated and run down hotel. Very hot room with no fan, very noisy with window open. Shower was so crushed in limescale only 7 jets worked and the pressure was so high they felt like needles. The hairdryer didn't work at all. Only one socket, not near bed. On the plus side, good location and free parking.
Not my favorite place to stay. Fair quality. Fair service, fair amenities
Tous est tres bien sauf l'absence d'A/C, au mois de juillet c'est un peu chaud.
Good for a one or two night stay, price is reasonable, the restaurant is good and the patio set up quite relaxing, the only drawback is the lack of AC in the bedroom
It was an okay place. Pros: well located. It’s right next to Vilvoorde station which is quite convenient and also near the airport. In terms of quality though, the room rugs were very dirty, the room was cold with no obvious way to increase temperature and the phone did not work. The bed and blanket was fine. The bathroom did not have shampoo either. Overall, I did not have a good experience. The noise level at the property was also very high. Half of the morning, doors banging noise was happening around, the noise of dragging furniture from the surrounding was also quite loud in the room.
need to be refresh...we cant open the window....dinnerrom closed the we
A bit warm without aircon. Is still tolerable in May. July/aug is unimaginable
Perfect
This hotel needs a lot of work in terms of renovation & upgrades.
The room was very basic, with one socket for the entire room.
The toilet barely flushed and there was no plug in the sink, just an open plughole where you could look down the plumbing.
Soundproofing is non existent so any noise from adjoining rooms or the corridor is fully audible.
The entrance to the hotel had smashed glass at the door for our entire stay, not to mention the full ashtrays.
Breakfast is basic.
Overall I would not consider this good value for money
Choosing a Campanile Hotel means a basic stay. I've stayed in a few over the years, this one was the lowest quality. The interior of the rooms and corridors have seen better days and are in need of decoration. The room itself has seen heavy usage. The bathroom was in a poor state of repair, the toilet was probably the worst flushing one I've experienced for a long time. The room was kept cleanish by the cleaning staff, unlike the external areas of the building. There was broken glass and cigarette butts on the footpath outside the main entrance for the 3 days we stayed. Breakfast was basic continental style and ok. For €100+ per night for a room I don't think this hotel was value for money, there's other options in Vilvoorde that are nicer for similar cost.
The main positive of this hotel is it's location, it's right beside the train station which is handy for Brussels or Mechelen and also easily walkable into the town centre.
We chose this property due to proximity to airport and price. Being close to the airport was great because we had to be there at 4 AM. The lobby was ok, but the rest of the property is run down and smells like stale smoke in the halls. Then we didn't have hot water, which was a big disappointment. Front desk staff gave a weak apology and said he was aware and had reported it to management. No offer to try to make restitution. We needed a code to get out of the parking lot, which wasn't made clear at check in, so we had to go back in to get it so we could leave.
The location is perfect. Not far away from the city and airport
Old & no clean no water in the room , you can hear the noise and talk from the next room, I t should be 2 stars or maximum 3* only . Location far from central
I've stayed at this generally friendly hotel several times for business and would be happy to return. No-nonsense but usually quiet and comfortable despite being in need of a refurb. Alarmingly, this time hotel could not find my booking (I had cancelled and rebooked straight away after a glitch) but did find me a room. There was also confusion about the bill for restaurant meals (two colleagues' meals were charged to my room despite each giving their room number) which fortunately was resolved at check-out.
The room was gross
The bathroom could do with updating. A simple use of the silicon gun around the bath would make it look better. And please get rid of the paper cups!! Get proper mugs for tea and coffee.
Pleased there is a bath.
Food was excellent but restaurant only open after 6.
Excellent location for the airport and good, free parking.
Have stayed before and would stay again.
Not much choice of food places nearby.
Where to start. When we arrived the staff was professional. Unfortunately when we took the elevator up there was a foul smell like a dirty gym. The elevator itself was outdated and looked like it was about to fall. On our way to our room you could see the hotel needs to be fixed. Once we arrived at our room we found a dead bug plastered on the wall. Upon entering the bathroom we saw that the shower curtain was full of mold. On top of all there was a foul stench coming from the rooms carpet that was intolerable. We could not stay the night. Even though it was a non refundable rate we had to leave and get another hotel. I will never recomend this hotel.
