M Hotel Buffalo

The front desk staff didn't seem to have a lot of answers to my other questions. Especially about food or sundry items. They placed a 20 day (which I didn't even know was a thing) $150 hold for incidentals but there are no incidentals, just a cleaning fee if you smoke in your room. There's a restaurant that you cannot charge to your room nor can you charge the sundry items to your room. That was incredibly inconvenient at dinner time.

The lobby smelled musty, the elevator was filthy, the hallway outside the room wasn’t air conditioned and the room didn’t get very cold. The room was somewhat renovated (the bathroom was redone) but the carpet was dingy and the room smelled of stale cigarettes. There were stains all over the curtains, on the carpet, bed frame, and on some towels. There was a super dusty power strip behind the TV console with a bunch of cords plugged in which is super dangerous. And the cherry on top, my daughter and I were woken in the middle of the night to inappropriate sounds from the room sharing our adjoining door. We could hear everything. It was so disgusting, I was up for hours trying to fall back asleep.

The rooms are spacious, but unfortunately, the overall condition of the bedding and furnishings is disappointing. The bed sheets, pillows, and other items look old and worn and need to be replaced.

The biggest concern was the strong and persistent smell of smoke throughout the corridors and passageways, which also entered our room. It appeared that some guests were smoking cannabis, and we did not see any effective action taken by the hotel management to address the issue.

This was particularly unpleasant and concerning for us. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel for families with children or pregnant women. The hotel management should take much stronger action to maintain a clean, smoke-free environment for all guests.

If you go to bed before 10, get a room away from courtyard/pool view balcony. Pool hours can be loud so if you prefer quiet times between 9/10am - 10pm, get a room that does not have a balcony facing the courtyard/pool. Ice machines are floors 2,4&6. If you need ice during breakfast, you can ask and staff will gladly get you some!

Upon arrival, staff was very rude, rolling eyes and huffing and puffing. Very uncomfortable when we were walking to our room it smelled like they had a gas leak. We reported it to the front desk and they continued to roll their eyes and get irritated so we decided to stay at a different hotel that night. They refused to give me a refund and I did not even stay there. They also had security everywhere. It was very weird. Hotels should not have to hire Security, but obviously given the location and the actual hotel itself I can see why they have security. Would never stay here. Do not stay here with your children either it is horrible.

Todo se veía viejo y deteriorado. El café era bastante malo y no había leche natural y los zumos eran artificiales. como digo antes, correcto pero nada especial.

Everything was good

Somethings were a bit inconvenient with having the kids. For example; there was only 1 microwave and it's was locates on the top floor in the laundry room. The tub was a bit old and the paint was peeling.
