San Anselmo Inn

Overall a nice stay, our room faced directly toward a concrete wall, which despite a beautiful day and weather led our room to feel dark and cramped. Very loud neighbors other guests as well which is not the fault of the hotel. They were able to make our room ready well in advance of check in which was helpful. Very nicely situated to walk the main stretch of San Aselmo which has lots of coffee/shops/food available.

Quaint. Great location. Parking easy.

This inn is adorable and perfectly located in the middle of a walkable area. The hardest part was finding parking before checking in (and then moving my car to the right spot post-check in). I was greeted with the most amazing cookies, and a table with the room keys, but never actually met an employee other than food servers.

Ideally located. Wonderful breakfast. Busy place downstairs with restaurant, but didn’t bother us.

The horel has no reception desk. You find your keys on a table as you enter. Our room had a double bed instead of the king bed that we booked. There was no one to talk to about it. No A/C and it was searing hot. No ice available. No parking right there.

My friend lives a short walk to the hotel so how I picked this place. My friend and I had dinner at Valenti which was excellent and I had breakfast with another friend at Comfort's which is next door. The town is adorable and the hotel is charming. I loved the cookies by the entrance. Breakfast was lovely on my second day. Fresh fancy fruit!

Cute little inn. Inn keepers were very kind and helpful. Quiet during the day and night. Location is perfect for walking to shops and great restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit our daughter who lives in town.

Heart of Town, B&B feel, walk to great restaurants and shops!

While this charming little boutique hotel was quaint, the check in process was weird because there is no front desk nor staff. They leave a key in an envelope on a side table in a hallway next to an open door for the restaurant people. Room was clean. Toilet leaked when you flushed, shower wall needed to be replaced but they did have everything you need. Extra blankets, pillows, fans in your room. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was mediocre but we found a cute restaurant for breakfast. It wasn't what we thought it would be but we made the most of it.

I was stayong for one night. The room was small. But clean and welcoming! I was able to park closely to the inn. I was able to walk to the restaurant indoned at. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The breakfast was perfect for what I wanted.

My second time staying here. The charm is delightful. I love the ability to walk the area for coffee, quirky shops and delicious food.

Was staying here to easily access point Reyes and Napa valley. Lovely little hotel with a great history and in a great area.

I really appreciated the check-in process

The Inn is like a European guest house. Very low key and welcoming. There is also a nutritious and well chosen complementary breakfast buffet.

A little worn, could do with being redecorated, bathroom updating, and so on. No daily housekeeping unless guests request it during a limited time in the afternoon when they are likely to be out. Odd. Can’t put anything in the housekeeping tip envelope if there isn’t any! However, very convenient and acceptable in all other respects.

Wonderful slice of history in San Anselmo that also pays homage to Star Wars’ creator George Lucas who is a resident in this community. Very peaceful setting and walkable to a variety of nice restaurants and shops. Breakfast was delightful.
