Campanile used to be a nice place to stay 25-30 years ago. In Calais it seems that was the last time they invested.
Pros:

staff, helpful even at late arrival

it is shabby, needs refurbishment

Pros:

Sehr gut gelegen, nahe des Eurotunnels. Privater Parkplatz in Sichtweite. Eine kleine Badewanne sorgte für Entspannung nach der langen Fahrt. Preis-Leistung absolut ok.

Pros:

Location was good with easy access to metro. Good choice of eateries.

Cons:

Staff were not welcoming, basic check in, no smiles. Seemed everyone just doing their job.
No tea making facility in the room. Then you can make tea in the dining room until 3pm. After 3 you pay 2.5 euros. It's a joke.

You know what you get with a Campernile, it’s cheap, basic but well positioned with comfortable beds.
Pros:

Cheap, close to Eurotunnel, comfortable beds

Cons:

None of the EV chargers work. That was the main reason for us choosing the hotel. Very dated. When checking in staff just point to a computer screen but it does not work to check in if you booked via Booking.com

Hôtel d'une autre époque, à réserver pour une nuit uniquement

La literie.
Le parking (3 euros par jour), mais non surveillé

Cons:

L'établissement est à rénover entièrement : murs et portes tachés, moisissures dans la salle de bains, encore un rideau de douche en plastique, robinetterie très ancienne, boiseries extérieures en mauvais état.
Ménage effectué à la demande, lit non fait, serviettes de toilette non changées.
Petit déjeuner moyen.
Dîner proposé médiocre et cher
