Yeah
Damp room. Rotten sink unit and mould. Silver fish on floor. Stains on pillow and case. Heavy maintenance carried out at 8am. Reception staff didn’t know when manager on duty. Bug found in bed, bite on mother’s chest. Moved to new room with similar problems and no shower facilities. Hot and cold pressure taps not functioning properly. Clothes ruined. No interest shown by staff. This was meant to be a pleasant break for my disabled mum. Disable room not friendly at all. We do have photo evidence of sink etc on partner’s phone. Weekend ruined for us all.
very out dated room toilet put on wonkey need updating everywhere card from the cleaner saying ive cleaned room but missed the massive cob webs in the room stains on the sheets not mattress cover on the bed
good price but although I had paid already via expedia had to to still use a credit card for pre authorisation, then details of the car and other forms and forms to verify who i was to avoid the car parking charges, The room was clean but due to covid did not have china cups. This was previously a campanille hotel, I researched and this company is now a part of a chinese group. The room I felt looked a bit dated and needs fresh ning up but clean. The first night I heard people arguing and fighting, I looked outside I could see nothing, when i enquired the next advised it was from Mcdonalds. The second night ok, What is good is it is near a bus stop. When Ichecked out i was not asked for my credit card which after contacting expeia advised it would be reversed, this took some time
Clean basic and great shower. It s all we needed. Kettle and coffee were supplied. Breakfast was take away, as good as you can get in a bag
First time staying here, as my usual hotel didn't have a room. In fact this place was nearer where I needed to go.
I chose it because it accepts pets at a reasonable price, compared to some other places which would have cost me almost as much for 2 dogs as for 1 human.
As some other reviewers stated, the decor looks a bit scruffy and uninviting, but the cleanliness was good and the bed comfortable.
The place does seem to run understaffed. When I arrived I was unable to access reception or get through on the phone. But after a few minutes the staff member turned up, having had to deal with something. He was then very helpful.
One benefit for dog owners is that each room has an exterior door, in a motel type arrangement. Hence no corridors as in a normal hotel. When my dogs hear someone walking in a hotel corridor they think that an intruder is in "their" house!
The hotel is surrounded by grass, and there is also a good dog walk to be had by going left at the roundabout where McDonald's is. Then look out for a small gap soon on the left where you can access some grassy areas, woods and blackberry hedges, and maybe rabbits to bark at.
Worst hotel I ever visited, I was so discussed that I turned around seeing the hotel room and booked and paid for another hotel
Try a hostel, checked in went to room and went straight back to reception to check out. I am not a snob by any stretch but couldn't even use the toilet never mind sleep in it.
Easy parking. The interior was very worn and needed a face lift. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, like sleeping on a bag of spanners.
I know it's a budget hotel but there is no excuse for the money you do pay for such as mattresses being so poor, light bulbs missing. And fixtures and fitting broken. But on the whole they do try to keep them clean.
Room was cold, no blanket provided. TV didn't work and the towel they provide is only a handtowel. Not much help when you're 6 foot tall. Bed is too soft and i was woken by people arguing and swearing outside. I didn't feel safe. Do not reconmend
The staff were extremely helpfull, and very pleasant. Breakfast was good. Rooms clean. The rooms were a little shaby and could do with a little upgrade. The location was very good
Very pleasant staff, very good value rooms albeit slightly dated but everything worked.
Was a cosy little room that was comfy
Maybe add a few more movies to the tv’s andd bathroom light kept flickering
Overall we enjoyed the stay thank you .
Service very poor as we waited for our towels 3 hours and got only hand towels and did not get bath towels
very decent, cp value very high, i will defo come again.
It seems to be trying hard to live up to its "budget" label by not cleaning tables, several had food on them, and not filling up the soap in the gents. The staff seem to have ample time to sort these things out but not the inclination. However, the breakfast was ok and not too pricey at £7.95.
There is nothing premier or classy about this hotel and "customer service" is not in their vocabulary! Having booked and paid for our room in advance my son & I arrived late last night after a long journey desperate for our beds only to find the place shut up and in darkness so were forced to find somewhere else to stay (which may have been a blessing in disguise as it looked dim and shabby from the outside).
However despite me not being able to use the room I had paid for they are refusing to refund the booking. Although it did apparently state in my booking confirmation (which I hadn't noticed) that check-in closed at 10.30pm this wasn't clear at the time of booking. They had my mobile number which they could have called to advise me that check-in was about to close, and they didn't answer when I called them. I am not happy and will certainly never book with them again. I would recommend that nobody else does either!
Upon arrival at 11pm reception closed with a sign saying no check-in after 11. This was definitely not stated on the booking confirmation.
A kindly Guest pointed me to a member of staff who lived on site who kindly checked me in, not sure what I would have done otherwise.
Smoke alarm woke me up in the middle of the night to the stench of weed.
Only a small hand towel in the room.
Staff friendly. Hotel was poor.
It was clean warm an comfy, would use again. The staff were great and it was a peaceful night
