The location was perfect.
The room was in bad shape. The ceiling had visible signs leaking, the bedding looked worn and room had a really bad smell. Also the A/C was not cooling the room
Location to Truist field.
The Remote tv worked when it wanted too. The AC unit was noisy. The very credit card used to check in ….35 min later was used by fraudulent means. I had to call the credit card company to freeze my account. Can’t tell you how upset this made me and put a big wrinkle in our trip.
Room was huge w 2 TV's and a living room area w fold out couch.
Lots of charging plug in options.
Room was clean.
Breakfast was over $12 so we went elsewhere.
A/C in room was very noisy.
Ice machine on floor was out of order so had to go down a floor.
Had only 2 very small pillows and one king pillow on king bed.
-Noisy ac due to vibration from the unit
-We asked for someone to bring a towel, the staff told us to come down and get it ourselves
-The hallway was littered with trash
-The parking area was very dark and landscape is a mess
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding a recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Marietta, Georgia.
Unfortunately, the experience fell well below the standards I have come to expect from a Hilton property. Upon arrival, it became apparent that the hotel was undergoing major construction. The main lobby was closed, and the entrance had been relocated to a side entrance with very little direction or communication provided in advance.
The temporary entry hallway created an especially poor first impression. The area was lined with hanging plastic sheeting, paper taped across the floors, and visible water leaks that had saturated portions of the paper flooring. The environment felt unfinished, unsafe, and far from the quality typically associated with the Hilton brand.
The most concerning issue occurred Thursday evening around 9:30 PM when we returned to the hotel. There was no employee present at the makeshift front desk, and multiple guests were waiting to check in with no assistance available. Several guests indicated they had already been searching for an employee and waiting for nearly an hour without success.
In addition, at approximately 9:45 AM the following morning, we received a notice slid under our hotel room door informing guests that the water service to all rooms would be shut off from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM that same day. This created a major issue for our family, as we were in town preparing for a graduation and needed access to showers and running water while getting ready for the event.
Due to the extremely short notice and the significant inconvenience this created, we were forced to cancel the remaining nights of our stay and secure other accommodations. This resulted in additional unexpected expenses and unnecessary stress during what should have been a special family occasion.
I fully understand that renovations and construction projects are sometimes necessary. However, the condition of the property, lack of staffing, limited communication, and disruption of basic hotel services were unacceptable and not reflective of the level of service and professionalism I expect from Hilton.
Had I been informed in advance of the extent of the construction, operational disruptions, and planned water outage, I likely would have selected another property.
This property is under renovation as of May 2026. Since they are renovating the whole reception / entrance area, you will need to use the service entrance at the back side of the hotel, and the check in counter is located in a small event room. The construction site was not closed completely, so you will see the whole mess from the corridor. The corridor is very old and dirty since it’s for employees and vendors.
I understand they needed to upgrade their hotel, but they should inform that to the guests prior to their visit and also should make the temporary guest areas more presentable if they want to charge the same amount of money.
The location was great, close to the Battery and Truist Park, which is why we stayed
They were doing major renovations and made no mention of it. The main lobby was closed so bringing in bags and leaving was not easy. They also were making loud construction noises starting at 9am Saturday morning, abs that went on throughout the day. It was so loud, I thought it was the fire alarm when it woke me up. I'm glad we weren't trying to relax in the room in the afternoon.
I felt like we should have been told about the construction, or the price of the room should have been discounted, especially since the noise made to room unusable during the day.
It was my first stay at a "Hilton" and I was not impressed by this location.
Our friends were upgraded to a Jr suite, which was very spacious, but the couch bed doesn't not fully retract, which mage the entire couch unusable. It was almost funny how broke it was. It was like trying to sit on an ejector seat.
It was ok.
A little noisy until about 12am and workers were working on room above us the next morning
Riktigt slitet med stora revor i duschgardin och skåpdörrar som hängde på trekvarten.
Staff was great!
Bed was comfortable.
Shades were not working properly and one did not have blockout for the outside lights. Room was bright all night and the tv remote didn’t want to work.
Did not like the nickel and dining. $2 for a bottle of water in the room. Had to buy breakfast if we wanted to eat in the morning. Only one coffee in the room.
