Courtyard by Marriott Port of Spain

Visited here for work, located in a great place, not on the beach like I would have preferred, but the staff made us feel welcomed, helpful, breakfast options were actually pretty good as I had low expectations. One staff member that stood out was Sherieda, she made me feel at home and always greeted me with a very warm genuine welcome. Rebooked again to stay for another work trip!

Courtyard By Marriott is situated in a lovely spot in POS with many attractions to visit while staying at the hotel; most notably the Movie Towne Mall next door where you can enjoy a movie, go shopping or simply lounge about and have a meal. Right from entering the hotel, you're met with a luxurious yet comforting atmosphere that makes you feel welcomed. Our family had previously booked a room at the hotel with 2 beds, so service to check in went quite smoothly. The room/bathroom itself was very clean, with little to no noise from other guests staying nearby, similar with the employees. We were very impressed with the amount of attention to detail there was to providing guests with things like hair dryers, irons/ iron boards, skincare, a TV, closet etc. Likewise, we got to enjoy free Wi-fi during our stay that worked throughout the compound. Similarly, our room had a terrace where we got a nice view of the courtyard, as we were on the 2nd floor. The pool was definitely the highlight of our stay; while the courtyard itself was very cozy with lots of seating areas to lounge about with little games like UNO and Jenga to entertain yourself. The dinner service was great and the food/desserts/drinks were a 10/10! (Definitely try the chili chicken tenders and steamed dumplings). Moreover, the breakfast buffet had lots of yummy options (from drinks to food) to choose from, making it impossible to ever go hungry/unsatisfied. We also met one of the workers at breakfast, called Chantelle, who we had a lovely chat with and really started our morning off on good note. She was also very kind and informative, making our stay very memorable. Overall, we only stayed at the hotel from the afternoon at 3pm to 12am the next day, which was very short, however, our entire experience was thoroughly enjoyed as 1st-timers, and we all definitely recommend the Courtyard at Marriott POS for both locals and tourists who just want a relaxing place to spend their vacation. ❤️

I’ve stayed at Courtyard Marriott Trinidad many times and have always appreciated how the team makes me feel at home. This visit, I had the pleasure of meeting some new faces—Chantelle, KL, and Leonardo. Over the past three days, they were warm, friendly, respectful, courteous, and always willing to help. They consistently went above and beyond and demonstrated the genuine hospitality I’ve come to know, enjoy, and even expect from this hotel. Thank you for another excellent stay.

This hotel is in a good location and excels with service and staff. Coming from the United States I was surprised how everyone, from the security guard to the restaurant servers were happy, pleasant, and truly seemed to enjoy their job.

It's a 3 star hotel based on fit and fixtures, but you can't expect a Four Seasons when you're booking at the price level of a Courtyard. The rooms were clean and air conditioned well. I found the bed and sheets to be extremely comfortable, which helped with sleep (something that can be difficult when travelling for business. The room does show some slight wear, but nothing I wouldn't expect given the location and price point. The staff and service provide a 5 star customer experience, and a Courtyard price in Port of Spain.

Specifically, Donna took great care to clean my room and left a nice note on my last night. All the desk receptionists and the Sales Director were great to speak to, specifically Nyola who checked me and my "running-late" colleage out at 4am for our flight back to the USA. For a good night's rest, a good breakfast, and great service at a reasonable price, I highly recommend this property.

My husband, Cosley, and I recently celebrated our wedding at the Courtyard Marriott Port of Spain, and we could not have asked for a better experience.
From planning to execution, every detail was handled with professionalism, care, and genuine hospitality. A special thank you to Rhonda for helping bring our vision to life and ensuring everything came together beautifully.
The food was exceptional! Guests are still talking about the callaloo soup—even those who don't normally like callaloo loved it. The corn dish was also a standout, and the cheesecake was so amazing that family members were asking days later if there were any leftovers!
A huge shout-out to the Chef and culinary team, the server team, and the bartenders who kept everyone happy throughout the evening. Special recognition goes to our boy, Quille, who made the best Mudslide we've ever had! His personality and service were outstanding and added to the fun of the celebration.
We also want to recognize the Front Desk team on every shift. Our guests consistently commented on how warm, welcoming, and helpful they were from the moment they arrived.
What impressed us most was the consistency of excellence across the entire hotel. The venue was beautiful, the service was exceptional, and the staff made us and our guests feel truly special.
People are still talking about how beautiful our wedding was, how wonderful the food was, and how amazing the service was. That says it all.

I had the pleasure of staying 5 nights to celebrate a friend's wedding. The entire experience was exceptional. The breakfast team of Kernisha, Dale , Stacey, and Checkya were professional, attentive, friendly and kind.

What really makes the port of Spain Courtyard experience stand out is its staff, from reception's warm welcome to the hospitable restaurant crew that always started my day off on a high note, to the housekeeping team (special mention for Sherieda) who took immaculate care of my room.

The team at Courtyard POS is fabulous. They cater to our needs with a focus on hospitality and safety. I am intentional about choosing this property given the quality of service. From front desk, to restaurant, to security, to house keeping to back office; everyone is professional and courteous. I especially want to recognize Sherieda and Rachel.
